but i guess it's not a stretch that watching Kingdom annoyed me on so many levels that it helped me appreciate groups that have nothing to do with it even more. so thank you Kingdom. the overproducedness of Kingdom stages, the groups that didn't gave me the kinda warm vibes unlike in RTK...the rampant bribes going on by fandoms for votes and how fans these days don't find anything problematic with it when it's clearly a tasteless move and lacking integrity even if it's a common thing...the fact that these are top groups with big fandoms only made it even more blerh. they should've been setting examples as major fandoms by winning cleanly with confidence since they're all big fandoms and not example of pulling at all stops just to win even trying to compete who gives the biggest bribes. if you're going to defend this tacky thing...i suggest don't do it to me, no matter what you say it won't change my opinion of this thing, it'll only give me bad impression towards your mindset so just don't reveal yourselves to me. yes, i know all contestants on all shows probly do the same thing so what? does it make it right just because everyone else does it? anyway, the link showed a few groups, but from reading comments, it seemed all fandoms of groups from the show did it...so....yeah....major turnoff.

Anyway....

Actually there are two groups that recently are taking all my time and attention and affection...one being an idol band(yall probly already know this one if yall been stalking my blogposts) and the other is a relatively new boygroup.

so today, i'll be talking about them, TO1, formerly known as TOO, one of the groups that caught my attention in Road to Kingdom, for being so freaking impressive even as freshly debuted rookie at that time.

And after RTK, i decided to check out a bit more on groups that caught my attention(The Boyz, Oneus, TOO, Golden Child)...while most of them, had music that couldn't won me, and for The Boyz that i totally rooted for, and loved their music....something just wasn't clicking even though i seriously thought i'd stan them....but in the end...i decided against it and just be a casual listener/viewer. and TOO was having their comeback at that time...and even though i wasn't really feeling Magnolia which was a typical boygroup hard/strong n dark concept, their comeback with Count 1,2 won me over because of how they took the drastic change of direction into cute/bright territory...and this concept is severely missing among boygroups(even girlgroups) these days so i welcomed it so much and the song was nice too n just refreshing....though i wouldn't say i'm crazy about it at that time. (but recently while watching their random variety appearance and hearing the song again, i fell for the song ><)

I remember after watching their comeback mv, i came across this video....

And that's how i learnt all members. in RTK, i only knew a few members they kept giving screentime to. frankly i didn't really warmed up to most members during RTK...but oddly one of the members i already liked wasn't even a member focused on the show...so i knew which one he was but i found his name from checking out their profile. so yeah, initially my favs were Jisu and Chan(in Chan's case, i'm sure everyone who watched RTK would know at least him and Kyungho and Woongi, they're probably the most focused on members)...idk how i even noticed Jisu but he just stood out to me oddly so i decided he could be my fav....

and indeed after watching more of them i knew i made the right choice....i like how cool and funny he is...without being tryhard. he's just chill and at times has no nonsense vibe(i mean, dude's from Busan afterall, seems that Busan guys seem to have a specific kinda personality to them haa) but from time to time he'd make everyone laugh candidly...and yknow i love my funny guys. Also, this vid above made me start to appreciate members i never thought i'd like....i love it when a single video of 10 minutes can make me a fan of all members....xD....that doesn't happen often. trust me, usually i can't even finish a group's first song i'm checking out...it's rare for me to find a group i feel i can vibe with. maybe because i'm just from older gen and kpop these days just...hard for me to vibe with....

And so many adorable moments and SHIPS flying around whether in foreground or background heh....and their English are soo good....or is it normal with newer idols....i'm just shook by how many members are good in English....wow....

 

Then i kinda got distracted until they released lyrics video with english subs for Step by Step. which i think that video has been taken down when their whole mess with the old management happened....but let's watch a perf of it.

it's more groovy and perhaps mature than their title track Count 1,2 and i love it. i love both the songs so i was shook. 

Then i kinda didn't see anything new from them and was outta touch with what's happening...the next thing i heard is that due to some messy situation with their old management, there's no more TOO but good news is they came back stronger as TO1 with complete all ten same members thank goodness it'd broke my heart if anyone's missing.

THIS IS THEIR NEWEST COMEBACK! 

As much as i'm disturbed by the title....i mean...many see it as wordplay to son of a b*tch...but as someone who has observed kpop....i feel like it has different intention...n more to do with the rampant spreading of satanism in kpop....that goes unnoticed mostly and just seen as cool concepts...heh. as much as that's my first thought....i like the song so much T^T...so i try to hold on to a sliver of hope that i'm wrong and it's indeed about son of a yknow....but...at this rate i'm probly just deluding myself. because i like them so much and well, this kinda thing is all over kpop....if i want to avoid it i need to cut off kpop completely which is still something i find hard to do sadly....familiarity and routine had given birth to such attachment sadly.

Anyhow, with the new comeback, there's a whole image revamp for Minsu with just a hairstyle change his visual just wow....make no mistake i love the cute version of Minsu but his aura/vibe just changed entirely with hair change that when he does cutesy stuffs i felt unfamiliar even though that's Minsu xD. And of course Chan's long hair which i'm sure everyone love...sadly at the expense of Chan and Minsu probly having the least parts especially Chan...but i'm trying to reason it with myself that it's alright because Chan has immense level of presence that he can survive a song with little parts...cuz he's always relevant.

then i found this Twice cover stage 

They did sooo well and everyone just shined and i first watched this on an unofficial video with better audio so yeah...i'm just sharing the official one...i was addicted to this perf so i thought...i'm gonna go check out more old perfs from TO1/TOO. Heck i even watched a bunch of their random videos....><

^ this is just me rediscovering Count 1,2 on purpose...they performed this on a blood donation perf event and it seemed they even donated blood on the same day...Woongi looked so scared, Jerome too...but he seemed to try holding it in more...i love how bright Jerome is on stage ><

They performed a remake version, even in their first mini album they had another older  song remake...

^ the first song. and wow Jisu had quite the amount of parts i'm so happy ><....and who would've guessed a new group would remake such an old vibe song...it really makes them stand out to me but then again i rarely bothered most groups' title tracks let alone their bsides so idk if this is a common thing...

Another song from their debut single. actually i just started to listen to this as i'm writing this post....while the song might not be an instant love for me, maybe it's just that i hate empty choruses...but the oriental-ish sounds really suit their concept when they're TOO i guess...but the prechorus was nice i guess....and as expected, Jaeyun and Donggeon the reliable main vocalists did the highnotes...but what shook me....was.....Jisu too....did the high notes prechorus....and he did the same exact parts as their main main vocalist Jaeyun....omg....yet not many comments talked about him....i mean like cmon...dude isn't even part of the main vocalists yet he did so good....and omgomg....let me just fangirl in my small corner here..there's one member i couldn't recognize at first though...and turned out it's Jerome...><...with dark hair!!! that's something i never seen....i mean i didn't follow them from the very beginning so idk...i can't say i hate it since i do think all idols look better with black hair than coloured ones but it's just....i've always seen Jerome only in lighter hair....it's such a new vibe....lol.

but there's always THAT ONE SONG that really changed it all and made me realized..that's it....i'm stanning...like during the time i thought i'd stan The Boyz....it was I'm Your Boy....but yeah in the end....it fell through but in my defense....i already hesitated a lottttt with them from the getgo...i kept telling myself i would just enjoy their music and stages and not stan...for some reason...that one was just a case of a group i'm never meant to stan...maybe they just didn't fit the vibe of groups i tend to like...

And for TO1....

...it's THIS....this very song that made me feel...i don't care anymore, i want to adopt these kids....haha...

 

Even though my fav member has the least parts here....it didn't stop me from loving the song sooo damn much....and i'm surprised to say this but i love Kyungho's voice in this sooo much ><

 

So to sum up my thoughts on the members(for now, i might have more to say later but yeah):

Jaeyun: the dependable leader and main vocalist. i often feel bad for leaders, they always look like they couldn't bother trying to appeal to the viewers because they're too busy looking out for the members to make sure everything run smoothly. Jaeyun is among those leaders. especially for a rookie group to have gone through so much....it must be harder for him. He's also one of the English speaker and was the MC for After School Club, not sure about now since i don't follow that show unless there's a group i really like guesting.and i just read that he actually ranked 11th on their predebut survival show so he probly replaced the 10th place or what? idk....but i'm so glad he made it, i mean the group depended a lot on his leadership..and he probly had a crush on Jisu but cmon...that only shows he has good taste

Chihoon: who would have thought he's the oldest? i mean look at him....he's so small and cute...he can rap and sing...n be savage even though most time he look clueless...i feel that it took longer for me to warm up to him because he often looked awkward on stage....but after a few stages of Son of Beast i notice his confidence had grown which made me feel like a proud mom. and i thought he's just a rapper but no, he sings too...heck all the members could sing well. and sometimes i feel his looks are like mashup of New(The Boyz) and Ace(VAV) especially Ace, they really seem to share a certain same vibe...idk what...or maybe it's cuz they're both shortest members xD..lol...although Ace is taller since VAV is overall a tall group anyway(wait i just rechecked their profile and Chihoon is NOT their shortest? whuuttt?) and i think he has crush on Chan but cmon who isn't

Donggeon: i think he's a member who often got to be thumbnail alongside Jyou. tbh at first i thought he would be one of those members i ignore and can't have anything to say about because he always look serious and charismatic everytime i see him....but watching their variety side...he's quite adorable and fun...i won't be surprised if he's a pabo....and afterwards i find his expressions in their happier songs' stages adorable too...these days the stylists are obviously trying to pimp him out with the outfit choices but i guess at least he's one of the older members...and idk bout crushes but i ship him with Chan for some random reasons...

Chan: Who doesn't know Chan? The biggest presence in the group....even when they take away all his lines....his hair alone shook everyone into mistaking he even had all the screentime when that's not even the case...haa. Chan has surprising adorable sides he probly doesn't know himself...but what shook me was how much Chan seem to know s...i watched a video where they had to guess what the members were thinking/wrote about each other in Indonesian language...and Chan guessed almost all members' right....unless he secretly know Indonesian language...haa. Also, another video where they talked on first impression of each other, while other members talked about one or two members, Chan went to talk about all members, he's such a softie sweetheart under that fierce badass exterior><.. also, these days i've been seeing Chan-Jisu combo a lot and that's too much for my poor little heart to take in since they're both my favs but i don't think i ship them but idk...they're both too playful on same unromantic level so i don't think that ship will work....haa. 

Jisu: mylove idk what it is or how but he just stood out. he's just that cool and chill Busan guy who's probably TO1's hope for variety too...his humour isn't always loud and brash...but yeah you see Jisu and you just expect something funny to happen. he has great voice too despite lacking parts. and he has great expressions onstage. I'm so torn who to ship him with...at first i'm so sure i ship him with Jerome, but Jaeyun seem to have crush on Jisu and many ship Jerome with Jyou and i get paranoid what if Jerome was just being clingy to everyone n his clinginess to Jisu on that one clip was nothing? omg....Jerome you playah....but also...Jisu didn't seem like he cared for anyone more than others...he's always up to collect kisses from whoever wanting to give them out...lol. he's just that cool.

Minsu: Cutiepie!!! he's so adorable. when other members did cutesy things...they'd diss each other but nobody could say anything bad when it's Minsu, you'd just see them looking adoringly. yknow...Minsu gives me the vibe of that heroine on every other crossdressing dramas where they pretended to be a boy to be in the boygroup for some mission...n i read that Minsu doesn't like/allow members being touchy with him...now didn't that made me theory possible haa, he's also their cook and mom. hmm....lol. recently he's been looking cool and so visual like...with Son of Beast promo when they changed his hairstyle....it really made his visual more striking...but tbh....i love it best when he's still being his cutesy self despite his new 'cool' visuals...ahh Minsu...always be cute, and he kinda reminds me of ZE:A's Heecheol idk why...also, for some odd reason after seeing him and Kyungho dance next to each other i thought that'd be a cool ship. opposites attracts ><

J.you: tbh...at first i didn't like him much....i thought yeah he won first place on the survival show, so he must be the popular guy...he's also their visual so need i say more...just the combination of things that usually don't appeal to me....but then i watched the clip above and my image of him started to change greatly....seeing him saying cheesy pickup lines and then getting sulky because of the negative responses...and how he's piggybacking the maknae a lot of the time in the background...little adorable things that make him look cooler than when he tries to look cool. Jyou, dude you're cool. and idk why i suddenly thought of Shinhwa's Lee Minwoo the more i see him(maybe it's also the fact that he's short lol, and they kinda have some similar vibe i can't quite point out) also, J,you is oddly one of the 2 members that i feel can be shipped with anyone in the group even though so far, my shipper sense hasn't tingled yet...

Kyungho: is also a member i thought i won't like much. he's very much focused on in RTK alongisde Chan, Woongi....and he's just....not the type of vibe that i gravitate to. but afterwards, watching them i guess he has a bit of adorable side and idk why lately i'm loving his voice so much...i just don't like it when the stylists are pimping him too like cmon he's a kid. Also, he reminds me of a taller version of Dongjun(ZE:A) idk why though...as for ships...idk...so far...Minsu? but Kyungho is another member who i feel can make a great ship with anyone even if he's usually just on one side being cool...Kyungho-ya...just relax and be a maknae xD

Jerome: one of the members coming for my fav member spots. damn you cutipie...i feel like Jerome's exact image is more 'lovely' than cute....and he reminds me of Hyungsik(ZE:A) for some reasons probly among them are how he's one of the tall maknaes, and how he's freaking clingy and touchy with the members and how he can be really funny too at times...the weird thing is...i don't usually like maknaes and Jerome acts like every bit of maknae but i actually find him adorable....is that a sign of me getting old and liking all the cutesiness in the world? lol. His smiles always look so genuine and like he's really enjoying it...i really like that. and i'm so torn...cmon...i really want to ship him with Jisu but idk man...i need to observe him more lol.

Woongi: another member focused on RTK, he's a smart kid, but sometimes his noisiness and energy n hyperness are too much for me...haha, which is weird since Jaehyun(N.Flying) is probly wayyy crazier and noisier but i luffff him sooo much but anyway, Woongi has that naggy maknae vibe yknow like Yeojin(Loona) yeah...that came to mind. but he's also a good talker. and i think he also has potential for variety. as for ships...idk...i don't usually ship leader maknae in groups but their little moment in Take it Slow are cute....

 

I can go on but this is already too long and i'm tired...let's end this for now...

Just an excuse to end this with a bursting dose of Minsu cuteness(though tbh Minsu already started being cute in their music show stages despite his new image haha...yay) while half the group being awkward to act cute...or give hearts...i mean...they're still new...they'll learn to let loose more(i really hope they can meet and learn from Kim Jaehyun the variety genius though....that guy knows he's attractive n cute so he's not afraid to be as shameless embarrassing crazy as he wants lol, someone please link TO1 to be guests at 2idiots yt channel on their corner where they had idols/artistes as guests to do quizzes and other stupid things with them.

and please don't take my shipping seriously...this is all just for fun...
