BACKGROUND
born in the golden gate city, haven led a typical suburban life. given the circumstances they grew up in, she and her older brother grayson likes to think their family was a part of the upper middle class. her dad works as a financial manager and her mother was an architect before she gave birth to the kids.
her family of four never saw money as an issue and she and her brother were able to attend one of the highly-rated public schools in the neighbourhood. her mother returned to work after her brother entered middle school. her parents insisted to build her connection to her korean heritage but she and her brother didn't really flow with it. her extended family do have gatherings on korean holidays and this always prompted the siblings to do some last-minute googling korean phrases.
haven used to dream of being a ballerina and took ballet lessons since she was six until she was twelve. she twisted her ankle really badly during a recital in front of the audience and stepped down from ballet completely after that. even if she was twelve at the time, she started to write her thoughts in a rather disorganized fashion inside a diary her mom bought her. it was a way for her to make her relieve her sadness of quitting and over time, she got better at organizing how she wrote her feelings. she even learned how to mindmap her thoughts properly. her mom would cry sometimes when she 'accidentally' flips over the diary and sees how raw and real haven's feelings were. ever since then, haven has never stopped writing and mindmapping to relieve her thoughts.

(◍•ᴗ•◍) ♡ uses a lot of emojis or stickers when texting. recently discovered kaomoji through grayson and she's using them frequently because they're cute.
(◍•ᴗ•◍) ♡ the type of person to rename all her close friends with nicknames of an inside joke and adds an emoji at the end. (◍•ᴗ•◍) ♡ carries around a little notebook in her bag at all times, except when she's partying. that notebook is her "holy grail", where every little thought is organized. she doesn't go anywhere without it.
(◍•ᴗ•◍) ♡ was taught the art of drinking by her dad and grayson when she turned legal and has grown roughly the same tolerance as them, which is pretty strong. she can take anything really well.

(◍•ᴗ•◍) ♡ weekdays noting her personality to take more than she can chew, it's almost obvious from her schedule and choice of organization that she may have done just that or maybe not but she's struggling a lot in time management. thank god for her, she can function okay with minimum 3-4 hours of sleep but will carry on the day with 60% of her usual energy. for her to function in her usual energy level, she'd need 5 hours or more and she'll be good to go.
just make sure you don't cancel on the last minute with her. she doesn't appreciate it. haven is also an active member of UCSF's media organization, mainly given the task of proof-reading but can handle a project when given the chance.

the classic boy-next-door, think of theo and haven as your local betty cooper and archie andrews. she only made friends with him because he'd come over every day to play with grayson and some of the other neighbourhood kids.
the two, being the same age, gradually became friends who pop up at each other's houses without knocking and know each other's embarassing detail. a possibility for them to date? haven would say, "theo is like a friendlier and nicer of grayson to me. dating someone who's like a brother to me is disturbing." theo agrees with haven. they almost tested a possibility when they ended up as each other's prom dates because grayson scared off any guy who thought og prom-posing her. that night ended in haven patting theo's back as he vomitted after drinking some weird mix the guys were having.
ever since then, haven would not let him forget and theo announce that it also ended all his doubts. right now, they're chill true friends. although, leo and juno's crew love to think otherwise.

juno was the first person haven made friends with at UCSF when the two became freshman year roomates. juno was just the type of person haven admires. chic, laidback and just really cool. haven tagged along whenever juno went and you could say, juno took her in as her wingwoman.
she was introduced to all the college parties and mixers and even taught her which drinks were best at certain parties. their friendship deepened after haven having to take care of a drunken juno. their first real conversation was after haven held juno's hair in the bathroom at two in the morning. to juno, that was the deal sealed. she loves haven to death (and even calls her "bestie" or cutie" sometimes!) even if her soulless expressions may say otherwise and will do anything to make sure anybody lays a finger on her.
entering senior year, juno asked haven if she wanted to room again with her since her previous roommate moved out and just as the timing was right, haven agreed eagerly to juno's question.
perhaps, leo has caught on to the fact that haven is juno's weakness as well as only true friend that she made by herself and makes it a habit or a plot point every single video or whenever they hang out. this, in result, causes leo to receive more than two smacks on his head from juno.

a physiology major who went into a philosophy class by mistake, willow was grateful to have her face saved to some extent when haven arrived late to class and bought her some time for willow to get the hell out. after that incident, willow expressed her 'thank you' to haven and they had lunch together at a cafe. little did she know, willow was the same 'jang yoorim' her brother was supposedly flinging with.
haven screamed so loud when she accidentally walked into one of their makeout sessions ("grayson, jesus christ!" "hey, let's not get there" "yeah, put some pants on before even mentioning god").
after putting some mix-ups aside, the two bond well over their fair share of embarassing moments. haven thinks of her as the older sister she never had who she feels is way out of her brother's league and willow sees her as a cute little sister.
