☯ aya is 175 cm tall and weights 57 kg. she has chest length dark brown hair that she usually plait and braid with accent beads. she has been naturally skinny as a kid. she doesn’t have any birthmarks and only has a lobe piercing on each ear. aya has blue and wide-set eyes that seem to stare directly into your soul.

☯ like any other water tribe, she usually wears a set of blue anorak and trousers lined and trimmed with white fur, accompanied by mittens and mukluks.

nothing really special about aya. she was only a water tribe civilian of the southern water tribe. a daughter, a sister. following the death of her father and her former lover, along with her brother's departure for war, aya determined that she must be able to at least defend herself. no one knows about the future, who knows she might has to fight with the others someday?

PERSONALITY:

according to her brother, aya was initially abrasive, immature, and was always sharp-witted. detached from tikkek's pursuit of bending arts, she openly expressed her enviness born as a female, and worse, not having bending abilities. aya thought bending was what got the world in trouble in the first place. not having bending abilities herself, moreover born as a female in water tribe where value women as homemakers, aya instead preffered the ways of the scientist. but still, somehow there's a protector soul inside her. she is a woman, once she ever saw someone accidentally hit her younger brother, the first thing she did after that was threw the person to the ground and yelled at them.

aya could become serious when she desired to and was protective of her brother. aya also proved to be creative and good at coming up with ideas, even if said ideas were not always good.

aya was clearly loyal to her friends and family. however, aya also seemed to realize the importance of one having to fight their own battles.

she strongly desired and eventually meted out vengeance for the fire nation who started the war and the death of her father. she held little interest in the mysticism surrounding bending and preffered to solve problems using her wits. she tended to be rash, however, and her pride often led to embarassment. but when aya had been humiliated, her versatility made for a heartfelt apology and changing of her ways.

she likes to keep smiles on her friends' faces using her wit and sarcastic humor. not only her friends, actually from the start, aya was willing to die defending her tribe, even when she did not stand the smallest chance due to her born as a woman and not having bender ability. despite her obvious cleverness, aya sometimes acted silly. she occasionally created ridiculous plans that were nearly impossible to carry out.

she is also someone who tries not to take critisims to heart but still manages to on instinct. other thing about her, she will always make sure she does her work well and that it is hundred percent perfect, however, this causes her to be quite stressful at times. maybe that's because aya always had a competitive bone in her. when it comes to something that she can compete in, her eyes would change and there would be a competitive spark in them. she always wants to be the best. while this means it's tiring for the people around her.

BACKGROUND:

aya was born at the south pole. growing up as a part of a minor tribe that lived in the remains of the southern water tribe's capital. among all of her sibling, she was the only one who wasn't raised to be a warrior. she only possessed much knowledge about science and given some lesson about how to use boomerang from tikkek. when she was eleven, she was informed that her father passed away in the battle field, leaving her with great hatred for the war.

when burlonek left with the other men of the tribe to fight, aya actually already had a bad feeling about this. but she decided to distract her worry by learned the art of science and even teach the young children of the village. although deep inside aya hope she could get a chance to fight with the other men, she didn't have any courage to stand up for herself. she also realized with her unability in water bending, she initially lacked the skills that would make her a formidable opponent. that would not stop her from trying to defense herself at least, though, especially when tikkek willing to teach her how to use boomerang.

during tikkek's departure, aya secretly improved her skills in creating weapons for her tribe and evolved into a skilled boomerang user. no one in her family knew about it though. rumo was the only one who knew and no matter how much rumo warned her about how the tribe would oppose if they find the fact, aya still won't hear.

RELATIONSHIPS:

the first love of aya. the two was introduced by their friends. one of the most promising water tribe's warrior. burlonek often told aya that he fell for her at the first sight. they was known each other for two years before burlonek was sent to the war. aya waited for him just to got a news that he was died in the war. seeing her brother now being prepared to sent to the war just like burlonek often set aya in a wave of emotions. he is another reason why she really hate the war.
it is clear that aya hasn't move on from burlonek. but maybe if she can find someone who is as strong and mature as burlonek, she might open her heart again. but it is obvious it will need much effort from other party to heal aya's wound after losing burlonek. she is always like a skillfull but humble man. aya and her potential love interest might argue a lot because somehow it is her love language. she is a tsundere so rather than showing her affection, she prefers put the other party into an argument. well at least they can spending time together and talk a lot. but once the other party say something sweet or get touchy, aya can blush easily.

aya and rumo have been best friends forever. they lived down the road from each other. aya might never had a sister but rumo was more than enough for her. she always lean her ear whenever aya needed. but at the same time, she was brutally honest also. she never sugarcoat her words but that what makes aya really likes her. whenever aya need some advice, she'd go to rumo.

aya's annoying little brother. she's very close to his older sister as the between them was closer than his and tikkek. although there are times when he talk back to her, he still love her a lot and it vice versa. though he is a man, he really hates the idea of him becoming a warrior someday as he likes science more rather than combat training, just like aya. know his sister's constant worry about tikkek, he was the one who always assure her that everything will be okay and that they'll get through the situation as a family.

tikkek is aya's older brother and they have always been close. his younger sister is still a baby in his eyes. because aya is the only family member who doesn't have bender ability, you can see it clear that tikkek cares for aya the most in their family. when he was told will be send to the war, he was the most worried about her. they might be very different in terms of their personality, but they're always there for each other.

aya got albatros a few months ago. dem hunted him but when he got home, aya came to like him so aya asked the all boys to allow her making him as her pet. he sleeps at the foot of aya's bed everynight. aya has brought albatros for walk a few times and it feared people. people might see him as a muscular creature which can tear them apart in a blink, but for aya, albatros' behavior is more akin to that of domesticated dogs.

though she really love her mom, aya never been very open to her mom since she was young. she knew beforehand that like every mother in water tribe, kuelluyi would want her to follow her step. forgetting the dream to protect their nation and taking care of the family as a homemaker instead. she knows that's because her mom doesn't want to lose her as she's the only one who can stay at home while her two other brother forced to join the war.

☯ for an inhabitant of a world heavily supported by the mystic art of bending, aya showed a remarkable proclivity toward science. she secretly adept at creating weapons from a variety of materials and learned how to construct amateur weapon from burlonek, which she once used to simulate fake waterbending.

art:

☯ aya showed a remarkable talent for poetry. when she stumbled into a poetry reading with rumo, that was the first time she fell in love with the art. aya was also, albeit humorously, a good poet writer. she often write her daily story into a poetry in a notebook which only herself know.

weaponry:

☯ worry about his baby sister who doesn't have bender ability like the other family member, tikkek secretly give her a boomerang and teach her on how to use the weapon. as a surprise, she shown impressive accuracy even from a blindspot by determining the enemy's line of fire.
