I may have only met you for 5 years, but I'm thankful for all the 34 years who's shaped you into who you are, because you're one of the most amazing people I know.

#1 How you wish me a good "mawning" everyday without fail
It makes me look forward to waking up everyday, knowing that I'll be greeted by a text from you.

#2 Our morning conversations
While you're driving to work and call me (heads up or not), hearing your voice first thing in the morning is sure to bring a smile (and many laughs) to my face. And how considerate you are to ask me if I have morning teaching before calling me HAHA.

#3 How you share with me any interesting newspaper article / meme you chanced upon

I'll actually pause in the middle of a busy day to read it in detail and chuckle to myself, even though I may not reply to all of them.

#4 Your daily "food debridement" pictures (usually lunch and dinner)

It makes me feel like I'm actually beside you having your meal, and also glad that you're having time for your meals regularly.

#5 Your passionate tirade about soccer

I have zero interest in soccer. But you chattering about soccer excitedly does pique my interest because it is cute to see you talking passionately about something you love. And for you, I'll actually try to understand Arsenal Premier League yadda yadda yadda.

#6 Your conversation-appropriate GIFS

I remember how even on call, you would send hilarious GIFs to the group chat to lighten the mood. 

#7 Your soulful and mellow voice crooning me tunes like a well-oiled jukebox.

You have no idea how many of the songs you've sung to me have become my steady favourites. Even when you only know one line. I can post all of your covers on Youtube and earn big bucks, seriously.

#8 How you're random and erratic yet routinely predictable.

Your thoughts are all over the place and sometimes I have no idea what you're thinking. Yet I know your fixed daily routine- how you wake up (way too) early in the morning to take a dump, have breakfast and shower, sleep early and when you're not wearing underwear. Which brings me to my next point.

#9 How big a supporter you are of going commando.

You are clearly a free spirit, noone can deny that. Although I don't know why this is one of the reasons. I guess it makes you more environmentally friendly HAHA.

#10 How you are actually a really good advice giver.

You may joke around a lot but when I have problems to dish to you (and boy do I have problems), you do serve up really good advice and wisdom that I can always count on.

#11 You are also really good at emails.

Remember how you wrote that email to my HOD which gained his approval? Yes, I meant that email. Obviously not the other wacky, pointless emails we exchange.

#12 Your ingenious (or inane?) naming of your email.

I don't know who can take you seriously, Mr Everyone Can Find Me. I still crack up thinking of it.

#13 Your flight of thoughts.

You jump from flight to flight of thoughts without a care and although sometimes I really have no idea what we're talking about, I'm always 100% entertained by you and I marvel how many interesting thoughts you have about the world.

#14 Your work ethic.

I am NOT being sarcastic. I know you're a chill and laidback person who is against the notion of hard work, but I am honestly really impressed how you go down frequently to help your boss out in OT even when you're not rostered even in the wee hours/when you're postcall and so tired. Also how you're actually a really good boss who's loved by all your juniors because you're so chill and fun to be around (also you add blues to the list yourself HAHA). 

#15 You're probably a really good soccer player.

By the time you read this, I hope I've been able to witness you playing soccer. Which might not be possible due to COVID. But a girl can dream, right?

#16 How good you are at games.

Playing games with you is fun even when I'm losing all the time. Because even losing is an experience. I still remember the ONE time I won you :p I'll never let you live it down. 

#17 Our evening conversations.

I drop everything I'm doing just to talk to you, even all we do is ramble about nonsense together.

#18 Watching movies together (virtually).

Other than actually requiring your help to translate the Chinese, I enjoy your commentary more than the movie sometimes. You introduce to me movies I would otherwise not have watched.

#19 Your sense of humour.

I'm sure you get this a lot, but I never fail to crack up when I'm talking to you. Although admittedly that is not a hard feat to achieve, you're the funniest person I know.

#20 Your (sometimes brutal) honesty.

Can always trust you to call me out on my bull (or call the fashion police on me). Also a compliment from you means a lot, because I know you're always honest with me.

#21  Your slick magic tricks.

Again another one of your never ending talents. I'm so thoroughly entertained and impressed, parties need to hire you?! Although the true magic is you la ;)

#22 You're actually a really caring and sweet person.

Please don't get goosebumps haha I really mean this. Your future wife is really lucky. You are always around when I need to angst and vent, and there to share my joys and sorrows. Also, how you came down twice to my workplace on my calls to bring me cheer awwww and also sent me ice cream on one of the worst days of my working life. I'll never forget these moments!

#23 How you're a real child at heart (read: childish).

Sometimes I don't feel our 8 year because (despite you claiming you're taiyerd all the time), because you're always full of positive energy and sprightly antics.

#24 But you're also mature and wise. (read: old)

You always have an answer to every question, a solution to every problem. You're the dependable pillar of strength in our relationship and I don't know what I would do without your support.

tl;dr (because I know you have a short attention span jkjk) You are a lovable bunny who brings joy to everyone around him and I wish you all the happiness in the world, because you deserve nothing but the best.
