He has a tattoo on the inside of his left ring finger of 김은미 (his wife's name). He decided to get it there after hearing something about it leading directly to the heart.
STYLE. Soobin prefers more of a simple, yet stylish things when it comes to fashion. Since he is a single father and is often preoccupied with other things, he like to have items in his wardrobe he can throw on and have look good without much thought. Soobin prefers oversized shirts and sweaters/cardigans to tighter fitting shirts as he finds it more comfortable. Other than that he isn't very picky when it comes to clothes and tends to stick to the latest fashion trends as thats the easiest items to find when shopping.

He also always wears his wedding ring and his wifes one on a chain around his neck. He refuses to ever take it off unless absolutely necessary.

Phase I.

Chu Soobin was born on September 4th, 1996 in Gyeonju, South Korea.
Realised from a young age that he wasn't attracted to girls like the other boys his age and that he was attracted to boys.
He had never heard anoyone else talk about liking the same , so he kept it to himself which he was thankful for as he got older as he realised that what he was feeling wasn't widly accepted after his friends older brother was ostracised and kicked out of the family home because he was gay.
He moved forward in life realising that he probabaly wouldn't be accepted if anyone one ever found out about him so he hid it away.

Phase II.

That was until his last year of middle school where he met a newly tansfered student called Kim Eunmi. The two seemed to hit it off straight away ad became super close.
It wasn't long before Soobin found himself opening up to Eunmi. It was only then that he also found out that she was also gay.
It wasn't long before the two of them made a pact to always be there for one another forever.
After enterting high school, after pressure from family and friends about not having a girfriend, Eunmi and Soobin started "dating". The two thought that if they couldn’t live the life they wanted that they would be happy living it alongside eachother.
This worked out well for the two fthroughout their high school life, but after graduation there was questions about the two getting married.

phase III.

Since they didn't see any other way to stay happy in their lives, the Soobin and Eunmi decided that to stay true to their promise, that the two of them would get married and try to lead a normal life together.
The two had always had discussions about having a child together one day as they both wanted to be parents and with the pressure from their families mounting, they decided there was no better time than the present.
As much as they truly loved eachother, the regular way babies were made was out of the question. They decided ivf was probably the best option and reached out to their parents for help.
With a little white lie about them having tried for the past year and a little persuasion, their families agreed to help fund the treatments and after not too long, the two were pregnant.
Soobin and Eunmi were over joyed at this news.
The two began working their butts off even harder than they already were at this point as they wanted to give the best life to their child.
It wasn't too long before their beautiful daughter, Eunsoo was born.

Phase IV.

Soobin and Eunmi did their best to make Eunsoo's childhood the best it could be while also hiding a part of themselves from their daughter that they were never fully sure they would be able to reveal to her.
This worked well for the first three years of Eunsoo's life until a tragic accident lead to the passing of Eunmi.
Soobin felt the world shatter around him on that day. He knew he had to be strong for Eunsoo, and he did his best, but that day he lost a part of himself. His soulmate was gone.
While attending the funeral, Soobin felt like screaming out. No one truly knew the real Eunmi like him and Eunmi never got to be her trueself because of the fear of judgment from those around her.
It was then that Soobin decided that he would stop hiding himself and work for a better life for him and Eunsoo. He wasn't just reasy to come out yet but he planned to eventually.

Phase V.

It was about a year after the death of Eunmi that Soobin was finally able to put his plan into motion. He made all of the plans to move to Seoul with Eunsoo.
The day before they were about to move, Soobin finally came out to his family, and it went just as well as he imagined.
It didn't take long after the move for his family to cut all ties with him.
In Seoul, Soobin got a job and spent all his free time with Eunsoo. He struggled being in a new city and having no support, but he knew it would be the right thing in the long run.
It wasn't long until he found out about the single parents club and decided to tag along to the meeting.
