mid/late-chuang thoughts

i know i said i'd off but i can't ing deal with the latest episode of chuang esFDHGADGSHS

definition: chuang 2021: produce 101 but china (not part of the official 101 franchise, i think)

so from the beginning, my favorite boys have been a few ppl, namely xue bayi, bo yuan, xie xingyang, and yu gengyin. xue bayi had been in a movie before (it feels like he's more interested in acting than in debuting in a boy group lol), bo yuan has been training for six years and is arguably the oldest trainee on the show, xie xingyang is an actor (acted in that one webdrama with xiaojun!), and yu gengyin has also been training for a very, very long time (was in swin/-s).

whenever the episodes came out and/or ranking released, i would look for them and i would hold my breath hoping they didn't get eliminated. i hate the feeling and i hate that i'm so invested in this godawful show because i can't deal with anyone i like getting eliminated, but this past episode, xie xingyang was eliminated.

but, guess what? that's not even the problem!

the problem is that another person was also eliminated, and he just so did not deserve that and i was so ing devastated that i started binging all the clips of him that i could find.

and i WILL admit it, i didn't notice him at first :( he was given literally so little screentime in the beginning that it barely even mattered!!! but he's bo yuan and lin mo's dance teacher and he's SUPER talented and i really started noticing him during the second public performance and he's ing adorable but i still didn't really pay attention to him UNTIL he got eliminated!!!!!

but this man is so talented and even if i didn't pay attention to him, i knew he didn't ing deserve this??? he's literally so talented ugh like everyone always said that if rikimaru and santa hadn't been on this show, wu hai WOULD have been the best dancer. and he in would have!! you could tell during the intro show that their group followed his movements, and he's a professional choreographer, and he's also ing adorable and fdghjtrdfg.

on top of that, he's really, really young. to be 23 and already so accomplished, aghdesrf he just, he deserved to debut. he deserved to be seen by more people and appreciated earlier and more and godddd he deserves the whole ing world.

the only times he really shone during the show where when he was dancing, but they barely even showed him dancing???? meanwhile, he shone SO much during the spinoff variety show :( like look:

in the first video, he's like SO ing adorable but i especially keep rewatching the second video. spoiler alert! spoiler alert! don't read the next paragraph unless you want spoilers.

spoilers: he's such a ing genius? during the mafia game he tried hard to help the villagers and then committed suicide to make the witch save him, thereby using up the only cure. then he busted out the ing acting skills and followed #10 the entire time while still managing to say useful, logical stuff that made sense. but in reality, he was a ing wolf and controlling the entire table. it seemed like #10 was leading the discussion, but in reality wu hai was pulling the strings the entire time. he kept #10 because it would be fun, #10 protected #1, and even though zhou keyu wanted to kill #10, he still went along with what wu hai said. then all they had to do was put the suspicion onto #3 and #5. this man is such asgdfhgjmfjdhss i just, i can't???? he was literally controlling the entire situation????

i also want to call out yu gengyin for just, aghdfs everything. in the second video, it was a horror-themed game and even though yu gengyin was scared out of his wits, he still protected his team and walked in front and took charge and searched around in the dark. and you have to remember he was ing terrified???? to be that scared and still lead during that time of panic, this man is such a good PERSON, much less leader. he's an excellent leader, an amazing person, and god i just want him to debut.

anyway. wu hai. my boy. gahhhhhh. can you believe he's 23 and already having to use the equivalent of salonpas because dancing wears away at his joints so much? i'm just, i'm still ing devastated so i'm just going to slap down some embedded videos ( if they don't end up embedding) and leave yall to it.
