I'm just so curious about this particular au (Alternate Universe) I see that a lot here in many stories, but I don't actually know what it mean or what it represent. Please a good explanation will help my curiosity.
they just change the world (lol what am i saying xD) Like in reality G-Dragon is a KPOP idol but in the story the writer uses GD as a math teacher in Korea college or something. that's what we called AU. We change the surrounding :D

The author of an alternative universe story uses the characters inspired from the real people, but send them down different paths to achieve a completely different plot. For example Xiao Zhan is a 29 yrs old singer/ actor in a canon story acting in CQL, but he is a 23 yrs old college student in an AU story.
