Just bragging about something small
So I've lived in the USA for my whole life speaking nothing but English. In 2020 I decided I wanted to seriously try learning Korean.
The grammar isn't too hard, reading/writing is easy, but some of the sounds are so damn hard to differentiate.
ㅓ(and anything based on it), ㅈ, ㅊ, and the tense consonants just straight up kill me.
But today I was watching Gfriend's Memoria and I was repeating words in the on-screen captions into my phone for Papago to test my pronunciation. And I said a sentence with ㄸ in it correctly enough for it to understand me!
It's a very small victory, but it feels really big, so I just wanted to brag about it unnecessarily. I'll probably be speaking fluent Korean by the end of January. *obvious lies*
