This is the continuation of my rambling about INFINITE

So I will break down the character of each member plus ex member based on age

Lee Daeyeol: Yes he is the BROTHER of none other than Lee Sungyeol. Some fans thought that he is recruited, but no, he actually was going through audition. It was revealed that Sungyeol and Daeyeol estranged for quite some time because Sungyeol refused to give Daeyeol a hand in his trainee time. Sungyeol intention is good but I understand that it is quite heartbreaking for Daeyeol. Thank God their relationship improve by the time Daeyeol debut. Daeyeol has been a trainee for seven years. He is quite a famous trainee among other trainee because he has been trained for that long. At early days of Golden Child debut, Daeyeol trying a little too hard in everything because he is the leader. I don't like it, because then he looked too fake. So he didn't catch my attention at first, eventho he is Sungyeol lil brother. And then I stop fangirling for some time. Honestly I am back to kpop world because of pandemic lol. Then I re-found Golden Child and how they took a year of hiatus because Joochan got injured. Then I am introduced to Golden Child new dynamic. And the more real and raw Lee Daeyeol. And then I fall in Love. Daeyeol always give his best at everything it break my heart how underrated Woollim artist are. I feel like International fans always give their attention to Big or Small agency and not Middle tier like Woollim. Daeyeol is soft hearted and have a childish heart that he oftentimes sulking despite being the oldest. He is genuine but quite distant. He is the kind hyung and his dongsaeng always so freely that it shows how kind he is. He always help others since trainee days and even their dance teacher describe Daeyeol as the Dad of the group, the oldest who took the kind role in leading the group. He kinda have ambigous role in Golcha if he is not the leader. Golcha is a bunch of talented kids, so Dayeol falls mediocre among them eventho his singing and his dancing is actually decent. He is actually really funny, but he will looked quite bland because Golcha have Jangjun and Jibeom. Thus why he have the least fans in Golcha, but the most loyal. Because despite everyhting I think true fans knows his sacrifice and his genuine effort that every Goldenness have soft spot for him. He can be kinda fake in front of camera, but it is just because he knows what fans want and he tried his best to give it. But because he has no greed I think he just kinda accept what he get at this point, it makes him so thankful for every single thing. But I love that he still have that bluffing character despite everything. Not even Sungyeol makes me ramble this much. Daeyeol just makes me go so soft. And he makes me swerve from Youngtaek. Ah his acting is superb too. I hope one day he will also embark acting field.

Park Jaeseok: He is ex-member of Golden Child. He already debuted in Japan alongside Youngtaek. I think he really have passion about becaming an Idol. He has quirky attitude too. I think he actually fit really well to be an Idol. Unfortunately he has to stop due to health reason. I think it is because he can't mantaining Woollim standar regarding his weight. Even when he was debuting in Japan he always was a little buff. But when he has buff figure his image doesn't complemented well with Golden Child image. And now that he is not promoting anymore, his bulit is back to pre Golden Child era. It is quite sad considering Jaesuk stop after just one promotion. And he always shows bright and positive attiude while promoting. And when Jaeseok still in Golden Child I can see that Daeyeol-Jaeseok-Sungyoon hold a trinity leadership where Jaeseok play role of the mom of the group. He is always the only one cooking for the other member. Now that Jaeseok isn't there anymore, Jangjun kinda promoted to the Hyung line while before he hold the trinity of middle child role (Jangjun-Youngtaek-Seungmin) who maintain the bridge between the hyung and the maknae line.  Now in his instagram he sometimes likes comment about Golden Child, so I hope he hold his era at Golden Child as fond memory. 

Choi Sungyoon: He have the leader quality so much that some fans kinda degrade Daeyeol and hope that Sungyoon is the leader instead. Sungyoon is charismatic and have strong character that I understand the logic. But Golcha is a big group and Daeyeol along with Sungyoon create a joint leadership where Daeyeol play the kind role and Sungyoon play the strict role. They make the group balanced. Member always say that Sungyoon intimidating at first but soften later when they debuted. I honestly thought that Youngtaek still is intimidated by Sungyoon. Sungyoon is a wholesome Idol on and off cam, he takes care of his younger member, including Jangjun and I am so thankful for him for that because normal people always think that Jangjun never have problem because of his personality. But he is also the only member who always taking care of Daeyeol, the only older member of him. I admire him for that because oftentimes leader is kinda neglected and expected to always be the strongest and carry the burden. But personally I think Golden Child likes Daeyeol and they always taking care of him, but no one does it like Sungyoon. I ship Daeyoon so hard but they never give me content, help. But the duality is Sungyoon actually quite clumsy it is cute. But different from Daeyeol, member never hard for his clumsiness I think the fear they had of Sungyoon since trainee time kinda ingrained in them lol.

Lee Jangjun: He kinda resemble Daeyeol in which everyone loves him but he is rarely everyone one top. But he is the vitamin of the group and he is becaming more and more well known in general public eye. He is kinda slow in technology and not the smart book type. But he is brilliant, witty, funny, hard working and a positive person. He has abundant energy and everyone believe and relly a lot to Jangjun. He also listen well to . He is just so likeable. Daeyeol-Sungyoon-Jangjun-Donghyun have the longest period of trainee so they supported each other really well (while Donghyun being babied really well). I heard Jangjun once quit being a trainee because he injured himself, but fortunately he is back and here with us now. He is interesting because while he looked so carefree he knows where the boundaries well. Nowadays he paired a lot with Mijoo, the other vitamin of Woollim. I am glad that Woollim start to loosened up and let Mijoo break free. He is, as of now, a pilar who held Golden Child strong.

Son Youngtaek: OMG He is my bias! But  nowadays I swerve a lot to Daeyeol. On early era, Youngtaek is so nervous in front of camera. He is so shy and can't be himself. The real Youngtaek appear time to time in the behind the scene of everything and I already have insting that I will like him a lot. I always love a weird member. Now Youngtaek is a lot more confident and show his true self in front of camera. He is so wise, childlike, passionate about music, talented in dancing, considerate, unique, innocent, weird, and funny. Oh he is fluent in Japanese and he loves to practice his English a lot. Ah I love him. And he is pretty to boot. Weirdly enough, he looked closer with Seungmin who he knows the last than Jaeseok who promoted with him even before Golden Child. Maybe their age play a role. Youngtaek look far more closer with the maknae line than the hyung line. Youngtaek also have a lot of friend outside of Golden Child. Ah he loves loves loves Bong Jaehyun and Bae Seungmin. But if you look at them you will think that Youngtaek have a one sided crush lol. Ah I found that Youngtaek stan is rare too. It is quite puzzling for me considering he is my first bias in Golden Child.

Bae Seungmin: At first he gives off cold and distant aura. But lately he became more soft. He is acknowledged as the member who is easy to be around. I think every member like to be around him. I think he himself vibing with BongJae and Donghyun the most. But Youngtaek always seeking his company the most and he just let him. He is just so endearing. Not only he has the short stature, he also shows endearing attitude to boot. But he is manly too it is interesting. I always think that member have this barrier toward Daeyeol. But when Seungmin called Daeyeol while he is scared my heart instantly melt. And from there I know deep down member have this special connection with Daeyeol. Seungmin originally is JYP trainee. I think his image didn't match JYP upcoming group at that time (Stray Kidz) and so Seungmin switch to Woollim. I think at first Suengmin gives off a bittersweet aura because of this. Because he is removed from the Big3 to middle tier company like Woollim. But I think nowadays he just felt so comfortable in Golden Child and he likes Golden Child dynamic a lot that he is happy where he is now. And oh I like his vocal colour the most in Golden Child. Even his talking voice sounds soothing.

Bong Jaehyun: There is a reason he is called Bongvely. He is so lovely that you can't help but love him. He is originally my first bias but then I swerve real hard lol. I always took interest in Youngtaek and BongJae from the get go. He loves to daydreaming and just blanking out in general. But oftentimes when he gives his comment it is funny because it is witty even tho he didn't have intention to joke. He is an only child of the third generation so he is well off and loved a lot. Maybe that is why he have a lovely personality. But surprisingly he have a very good social skill. He is also easy to be around and just vibing a lot with Seungmin. He is soft and he is very very close with Jibeom. It looked like Youngtaek loves BongJae who loves Jibeom. Ah I love his voice and honestly I love his dance eventho his dance never talked about. I don't know why he hasn't emabrked to acting yet but I hope one day he get there. A lot of Golden Child member have overlapping name with other Idol. But Jaehyun and Donghyun overlap with a really famous Idol so they are oftentime overshadowed. I hope they didn't feel too sad because of it.

Kim Jibeom: He is just typical manly, handsome, and good singer. Perfect to be an Idol. But he has the nextdoor neighbour type character: funny, down to earth, and kind, so fans can relate to him easily. Personally, I think he is the perfect boyfriend material. He is alwasy described as kind and it shows. He is not greedy too. He loves game, he even played that gardenscape game. He was once caught on a date lol, he is kinda dumb in that sense. No wonder he is the dumb and dumber duo with Joochan. He is easygoing and easy to love. But he is kinda MIA like Sungyeol, so I think his stan has to have a lot of patience, moreover because Golden Child member are so active in communicating with fans, so his MIA will be felt strongly. 

Kim Donghyun: Ah he is the first Idol who make me think that cutesy can be personified. He is just literal cuteness bundled in one human being. He is accepted to Woollim by his voice when he is still very young, he is well known as a prodigy in singing. But then he grew up and his voice change so he feels insecure and he became the main dancer instead (as if it is easy, you know how hard working he is just from that fact alone). But even now, he has a really refreshing voice! His part always catch my attention and I alwasy like his part the best. Honestly his private life and his personality is really neat and dangerously boring. But even that endearing because he is Donghyun. I think he is borderline OCD at this point. He loves to play games. And what interesting is he hates aegyo. But he is cute eventho he didn't do aegyo tho. But he works really hard as an idol that he actually did aegyo from time to time and using emoji in his text just for fans. Ah he has no social skill because he already became a trainee from a really young age. But thankfully BongJae assist him to be more open to society.

Hong Joochan: He is a charmer. He resemble Woohyun in that aspect. And they are both main vocal to boot. He is interesting because he has a lot of interest and he kinda master it all. Youngtaek say the most dangerous people are those who talented and are hardworking to boot, and Hong Joochan is one of those people. He loves loves loves to eat, especially chicken. It is funny to me that Bomin knows nothing about food until he knows Joochan. Ah and he is a married couple with Donghyun. It is interesting because they both have no problem with other member. But when it comes to each other, they fought hotly even during wannabe promotion. But because Golden Child is kind in general, their fight is amusing to the other member, they even fuel it sometimes. It is funny when Seungmin say, they already live together for a long time, so they know each other enough to understand each other, so he doesn't understand how Donghyun and Joochan still always fighting. Even their parent became concerned. Joochan is a lovely person in general.

Choi Bomin: He is so interesting for me. He is witty but he often overshadow by other member. He is the only edgy and cunning member so it doesn't show much because the rest of Golden Child are kind and dumb in general. But it is interesting to me that sometimes he gives off vibes that he just doesn't give a but sometimes he gives off vibes that Golden Child is everything for him. And he literally grew in the span of the promotion. At first he is a real baby, but nowadays he looked even more mature than half oh his hyung. He loves to tease Jibeom because Jibeom is that kind. Ever since the departure of Jaeseok, Bomin paired a lot with Daeyeol eventho they don't show a great chemistry to be honest. But it is endearing to witness how the oldest and the youngest try to bridge their differences. He has great result in acting and he is also great at it, I hope he enjoy his acting-dol and be even more success. Ah he is a former Music Bank MC. And it really puzzled me to this day how fond Music Bank is toward Bomin. I wish it keeps that way tho.

Golden Child result isn't as good as Lovelyz and Infinite. But I feel like as of now they have a stronger bond because of it. It is heartwarming that they are so close that Sungyoon spent his holiday in Daeyeol house, Jangjun spent holiday in Joochan house, and Youngtaek and BongJae spent holiday in each other houses. Maybe there are TMI about them I didn't know about, because their fans is not as abundant as Infinite's fans are. I wish them more and more success and happiness in the future.
