i'm bored, so i answered a bunch of AFF questions.
Hi. I couldn't sleep and got bored, so I found some AFF questions to answer until I find some better use of my time.

Panromantic, I guess. I don’t really use labels anymore...? I just say that I like whoever catches my interest, lol.

4. What story gotten you into AFF?
It was a completed TaeNy fic, but I forgot the title. It’s probably buried under the 700+ fics I’ve subscribed to.
5. Which story do you enjoy writing the most?
Idk, really. Maybe camping trip (it was yeji’s idea), cuz it felt refreshing for me.
6. Who introduced you to the site?
Locksmiths. I asked for TaeNy, and they delivered. Bless.
7. Who is your ultimate bias?
Taeyeon is my first bias in K-Pop, and I still love her until now. But as of the moment, Yuqi and Ryujin are my top contenders.

9. What genre type do you think you are best at writing?
I can’t say I’m the best at it but *slams fists on the table* FLUFF. THE SWEETEST, TOOTH-ROTTING, CRINGE-INDUCING FLUFF I CAN POSSIBLY THINK OF.

10. What is your favorite fanfiction of all time?
Okay, so there was this author on fanfiction.net who wrote the single, most bombass K/DA fanfic titled "We Found Love" with Akalynn (Akali x Evelynn) as the main couple and it hit me on so many levels. I’ve smiled, laughed, and even teared tf up plenty of times while reading it, except this story disappeared from the site and now I'm S A D.
I’m still kicking myself for not following the author there, cuz I don’t remember their username either ;-;

11. Do you have any spoilers you'd like to tell your readers?
I usually end up running my mouth in the comments of my on-going fics. Oof.

I think one reader on AO3 had seen my face once in my IG story.
But, no. You only get my man Yunho as the face of my account.

Aside from Filipino, I'm fluent in English (it's probably deteriorating cuz of quarantine, I'm getting dumber each day), and some German(?)—but I’m still learning about it.

As of now, it’s Play Fight by THEY. (feat. Tinashe).
But I also love anything from Anne-Marie, Waterparks, Daft Punk, and Melanie Martinez.

(G)I-DLE’s LATATA, cuz that’s when I really started falling in love with my six muses. 💜

Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, and Sabrina Carpenter. Jason Momoa and Jordan Fisher.
21. Least favorite fanfic genre?
Uhhh… Probably stuff that romanticizes abuse or toxic relationships. And also those with graphic depictions of violence, , and non-consensual or dubious consent.
And maybe fics with no happy ending. My weak heart isn’t ready for that kind of pain.
22. Favorite person on Asian Fan Fics?
Not anyone I can think of yet :p
23. What kpop idol do you look up to?
A lot of them are unique and admirable in their own ways, but I really look up to both Shuhua and Yuqi as of the moment. My two beagle maknaes. 😭
24. Which K-pop group merchandise do you really wish to have?
ALL OF (G)I-DLE’S ALBUMS AND THEIR ALT. VERSIONS. (Btw, does anyone remember those standees they had for each member? Do they still sell those? I want one.)
Also, ATEEZ’s lightstick. The design is spectacular.
25. What is your goal at the moment?
Find a course or career path that doesn’t burn me out and hopefully be content with it. I know being successful is nice and all, but I just really want contentment rn.
26. Last question for you dear AFF authors. If you were to ever hit the gold star, what would you do?
Blink a few times, scratch my head wondering “Huh, why tho?”, and then keyboard-smash a “thank you” message in like my foreword or smth and hope that my gratitude is expressed whole-heartedly.
That said, I’d probably panic right afterwards because oh no, my word vomit is on display under the ‘featured’ tag and I’m intimidated.

1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
(edit: changed it to my current one.)
I deadass forgot what my first username was, but I changed it like… three times, I think, and I settled with Zetamorphosis. My friend and I were playing around with our usernames once, and then this one just stuck to me.
Zeta being the personality type, cuz I like to work solo and have no interest in ual relations. And (Meta)morphosis from the title of the book by Franz Kafka, which I’ve tried reading in German. (Keyword: tried)
2. Which is your most subscribed to story?
3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?
Because Yunho from ATEEZ is my newest obsession. (I’m sorry, Kyungsoo.)

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
I haven’t been reading fanfics as religiously as I did back in 2017–2018, but I do have a few that I enjoy a lot rn:

Uh… 763, apparently. Goddamn.
7. What AU do you find yourself writing about most?
Anything that doesn’t follow the “canon” (i.e. idol life), but Domestic AU counts right? I think most of my fics are pretty domestic.

I’m chill with accepting friend requests from anyone, especially if they’re down to vibe and chat with me. I don’t really mind, haha.
9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
Angst. I haven’t really written a full-on angst fic (yet), but I’m worried that it’s going to be underwhelming. I’m like emotionally-inept or whatevs, and I’m bad at conveying feelings/emotions that people can understand and sorta relate to. I think that’s why I focus a lot on fluff, cuz I don’t think I have to be as expressive about those things as I should with angst. I can just write about soft girlfriends being all clingy and affectionate, and then boom—everyone’s happy. Whee.
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?
Editing posters/backgrounds is just something I do if I have the time, or when I just feel like it.
I wish I’d be more consistent and motivated enough to actually update regularly. It’s why I stick to writing one-shots a lot, cuz I can mark it as ‘complete’ without ever having to continue it. Writing only happens when I’m in the mood, or when I just want to distract myself every once in a while.

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?
30, as of today. (25 completed, 5 on-going)
13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?
If we’re talking drafts, I've cleaned up my folder (again) and have about… 43 drafts to my name. Nice.
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
I usually keep prompts/story ideas in either my phone notes, my browser homepage, or screenshots in my gallery. Just places where I can usually find them.
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
No, and I don’t want to. I’m too inconsistent.
16. How did you discover AFF?
Late-December of 2017. I wasn’t active in the K-Pop fandom back then, but I loved SNSD (still do) and got hooked to the TaeNy ship. There weren’t much fics of them on AO3, so I ended up here after finding that most of the stories are being posted on this site.
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?
Lmao, no. I don’t think I’d wanna be up there either, cuz having such a wide audience is terrifying to me. I’m pretty content with just being lowkey and sticking to my main fandom (hello, Neverlands 👋), but I don’t mind writing for other groups every once in a while.
A few people have told me that I’m one of their favorite writers though, which is a very nice feeling. Thank you, really.
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
Most of my readers are Nevies. I don't need a fandom name for them.
But I tend to call some people as "fam" or, nowadays (because my friend is rubbing off on me), "mate". God, that sounds cringey. Wth.
19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
Nah, I just started writing cuz the IDLE tag was awfully dry and there were barely any fics about the ships that I really like. So, I thought: “ it. If no one’s gonna write about them, then I will.”
20. How many karma points do you have?
666 (whoo.)
I don’t really know what to use them for though. I’m happy with my current username, so I just give away my points to whoever’s asking for some.
21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
I mean, write whatever. But it’ll help if you have a general idea of the plot you’re going for, and then draft a rough outline for it so that you can keep track of the story’s flow. You can always add to it and edit stuff as you go, but having a friend who is both your beta-reader and creative toolbar can really help make your story more fleshed-out and interesting. If you have writer friends, don’t be scared to hit them up in the DMs for some advice.
22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
I usually just figure it out as I go, but I do add/remove certain parts or details right after. So long as I have the general idea of what I want to write, I just roll with it.
23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
Not yet, but I hope not. I’d rather have someone pointing out the inconsistencies or the details that I’ve glossed over in my work, so I can just go back to it and fix them right away.
24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)
Anything that involves an actual plot/conflict and feelings. (My emotionally-inept could never.)
25. What story(s) are you working on now?
- Human After All – I’m still bitter over the fact that I deleted the original draft for Chapter 4, and now I’m at a standstill with it.
- Caught in your (mouse) trap – One of my writer friends is a terrific world-builder, and she helped my sorry by making up 85% of the plot while I just hooted in our Discord call. (I’m procrastinating on it though, pls help me.)
- Exterminate – I thought writing a Crime AU would be cool, now I kinda regret it.
- we can work this out (if you'd just let me) – I WAS REALLY EXCITED TO POST THE RECENT CHAPTER, BUT THEN I LEFT SO MANY ERRORS THAT STILL NEED TO BE FIXED AFTER A HUNDRED OR SO PEOPLE ALREADY VIEWED IT. Lord, I’m ashamed—
26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
Did I mention that I have 43 drafts? There’s your answer.
27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
If I have something I wanna write, I (sometimes) do it.
28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?
My writing style, I guess? I think it flows more naturally and seems less immature in terms of the narrative, but there’s still more room for improvement. Especially when it comes to character interactions and dialogues, I at those.
29. What is your favorite story that you've written?
i stay awake again tonight and then i fall right back into your arms. I received plenty of love for both fics, which is hella amazing. I also met a lot of MiShu shippers in the comments, and it was fun reading them :D
30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?
THAT BE HOW IT DO, OMFG.
It all started when I was bored, I looked at the old messages in my group chat and thought it would be funny to turn them into a chatfic. (spoiler alert: it wasn’t, and never will be.)
I wanna delete it so badly, but then my pride is calling me a little for trying to draft it.
(edit: I did end up drafting it and deleting it off my AO3 account. Wew.)
31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
If I manage to commit myself to writing for that long, I’d actually be impressed.
I mean… I just write for fun and all, but I can expect myself to get burned out or disinterested after a while, so maybe I might stop writing altogether before it even hits five years.

Thinking of a plot, then writing at least a few sentences down to start it off before leaving it to dust. Lmfao.
34. What is the hardest thing about writing?
Writer’s block, lack of motivation, trying to get the damn plot into words, and keeping a consistent storyline that doesn’t fall off the radar midway.
35. Why do you write?
For fun, and also a distraction. College is really draining me, so I tend to write whenever I wanna feel better. I don’t enjoy drawing anymore, so writing is kinda like my new “creative” outlet.
