when you ask who is baek jiyoung nearly everyone will say "oh she's that young, fun, and cute girl" or " ah she is truly living her youth the right way. " jiyoung has always been outgoing since she was young, making new friends and talking to strangers does not stress her out. within her friend group she is the one making the order, buying the movie tickets, or talking asking for directions. while people hesitated or get pressured by it, this doesn't bother jiyoung at all. it has never bother her to look silly or ask the wwrong questions. she loves taking care of those around her espcially if you are close you can expect lots of affection even though she acts more like a child at times you would recieve tons of hugs, and comfort. she isn't too good at being sentimental but without fail she would cheer you up somehow. it does come at a cost sometimes because whe nshe is being sillying or really just speaking her mind she can forget about other people's feeling. she might speak about the elephant in the room and cause awkwardness or hurt someone's feelings unintentionally.
as bold and free spirited this girl is she is quite naive. she is optimistic but her head is candidly in the clouds from time to time. she does not know how to cope with saddness at all. it's a feeling she doesn't know how to deal with and she would cover it up with jokes and smiles. jiyoung truly believes the good in the world and trust people easily. when she gets hurt she takes it as a learning process and part of life. rarely do you ever see her get mad at the people who done her wrong. the times where she does get upset is more often when people tell her no or tell her she's boring, or critize her personality because she takes those things to heart. she is always trying to please other so when that happens she questions herself like what did she do wrong? what did she not do enough? because she believes she is true to herself and really is living at her best all the time so when someone tells her that she gets pretty sensitive depress over it.
BACKGROUND
every since jiyoung was little she was a little more tomboyish, she played rough with the boys, ran around the beaches, climb trees, and never back down from anyone, yet she loved dressing up and performing dancers for her parents, and giggling over boys too. her upbringing is most surely a big reason as to why she is how she is today. her father a silly and never too serious fisherman who was often out at sea and he would come home every 3 months. jiyoung's mother was a outgoing and tough little cookie who look fragile but would bust a drunk man's head if he caused a ruckus in her small port side restuarnt. growing up in the country side the girl had country side manner, she was loud, tough, and well naive to the city rules. jiyoung had a pretty normal childhood like every small town person. every year during the cherry blossom season her family would go on a picnic outing to changwon to see the festival, that was mostly the only time she gets to experience city life.
jiyoung was naturally smart academically, and even though she lovedthe smell of the beaches and seafood made her feel like home she wanted to live in the city. in high school she attend her very first concert and it was baek jiyoung's concert in busan. her mother had allowed her and her best friend to attend the concert but come back by train asap. during the train ride back a passenger had collaspe and everyone was scared but a lady had stepped up to help saying she was a nurse. from that moment on jiyoung knew she wanted to be a nurse too. that was one of the reason but it was also because back at home her town had a small clinic only and she saw that her parents were growing older only. she wanted to become a nurse and come back to the town to help even though her dream was to move out of the town she felt like the people of her town was more important then some silly city dream she had. so with her good grades when she graduated high school she got a full ride to university of uslan, her first chocie was actually to seoul but she couldn't afford it so she opt to go to ulsan in stead.

- she is also part of "women in medcine club" (a very feminist club fill with all sort of women..might be fun to add how they influence her attitude and mood around her boyfriend when they fight lol )
COLLEGE LIFE
jiyoung is an early bird so she wanted all her classes to be am classes so she could get the rest of the day off to do homework or hangout with friends. jiyoung's full ride to u of ulsan included boarding so she dorms at the school and she usually gets up early to get her hair and make up done, you can never catch this girl slipping even though she doesn't have a full face of make up she still likes to look presentable and decent. she's known to smell fruity and good too with her favorite peach scent perfume on. she doesn't have time to make breakfast or anything so she usually buys a bagel at the school's canteen or an egg sandwich. from monday to friday she has classes from 8am to 1pm usually 3 to 4 classes a day. right now she just has a lot of intro classes. when she is done she meets up with her friends for a late lunch before she goes to study in the library for 2 hours and then she heads to club meetings. Volunteering on Mondays while women in medcine are only on thursdays.
instead of just waiting for her mother to sent her pocket money monthly which is around $150.00 she has found a part time job at the GS convient store a few bus ride away from her dorm. she works mostly tuesdays, wednesday and fridays from 3pm to 9pm. after work she heads back to the dorm unless its friday then she would head out and hang out with friends a little bit before she goes back. on the weekend though its a different story. she sleeps in until 8am and then gets up to hang out with friends, or goes out to volunteer with her group, if she isn't she mostly never in her dorm. it literaly the life out of her she needs to be with people. she does appear often at parties becase of her friendly nature she has befriend lots of upper classmates who invite her and her friend. she has drank at home with friends and sip a few shots at parties but she is still dont like it much n much too naive and scared to get drunk at a college party. no matter how implusive she is she wouldn't want to risk getting caught drunk at a college party. she likes meeting people too much to waste a party being drunk.

- snacking on jelly candy strips or pocky...she has high metabolism so she is always hungry and she always got them in her backpackÂ

- singing and dancing even though she's not that great of a dancer she still dance
- baek jiyoung and ballad singers because of her mother..she doesnt really know pop music
DISLIKES
- picky eaters...
- disrespectful people, hold her back if she sees someone disrespecting her friends and family...jiyoung is never one to use violence but she seen in movie that country pumkin are often portray as thugs so she often puts on her thick accent and act like a thug to scare people and when they leave she just laughs like the innocent child she is
- thunder storms....the sudden loud noises scares her since, espcially living by the sea its always a nightmare for her when there is a storm
- rodents! her worst fear..the only animal she can't love...for the first time you might actually see and hear her squel and cry
- working out...its so tiresome and not fun
- coffee unless its sugary
HABITS

- she loves skinship, it doesn't take long for her to hold your hand or arm or even hug you. she loves hugging her friends and just being clingy

- she has a green thumb and loves planting, their small dorm is fill with plants and succulents
OTHERS
- in highschool she had a shot of soju because her father let her taste it and she almost cried because of how much it burn and she vow to never drink again until college of course lol
- rides her bicycle to school everyday and basically everywhere she needs to go unless she takes the train station or bus
- was in taekwondo in highschool but got expel because she got into a fight with another a student from their rival school. it was because they made fun of of their new recruit who was on the heavier side.
- can play the acoustic guitar because her father taught her
- gets along espcially well with elders and older people, she understands their jokes and puns because of her father
- she hasnt seen hr parents since she moved to ulsan although she acts tough once she sees them shes going to cry like a baby
- never been to an amusement park before but she think she will like it because she been to fesitval and carnival that has rides but nothing like an amusement park
- has had 3 boyfriend, one in middle school, and 2 in highschool but it was not too emotionally attach, lie yea they liked eachother, kissed, and hang out but she never felt any connectio cause honestky she just said yes to anyone who asked her out...they always tend to say she felt more like a best friend then a girlfriend
i graduated from woocheon high school, it was the closest school but still a good 20 minute bus ride from my house, luckily i only have to transfer 3 buses.

which answer do you want? a boring one or a fun one? i wanted to be a nurse to help people espcially all the elders in our town but being a nurse looks so cute and cool too espcially in tv series and movies. i wanna look cool like that..hahaha...

ahhhhh...stress...does pulling out hair count? just thinking about it makes me shake. urgh. i usually call my best friend and she calms me down, she's the best. or i call jungkook and his hugs are the best too.

if people wanna have fun let them have fun who am i to judge anyone! i love it when people have fun so i'm all for it. i just dont do much drinking since i'm underage and all you know. gotta be the good kid my parents expect me to be.

i wish i could afford it but it is not part of my scholarship plan. maybe if i apply for a grant i would love to go to new york or iceland.

short term? uhh...waking up and attending class to the best i can is a good one hahah....long term is to take resident at a hospital and maybe go for my master if not i'll take any internship before i find a job near my hometown.
