Young Adult

A/N: This for everyone out there, who were just like me, still holding on to the remnants of being a child :)

Nothing's easy, and we mostly find the things were finding out right now as shocking and hard to accept, but know that's it's helping us learn, we're on our way to becoming a better version of us :)

Keep fighting guys, aja~

Young Adult

Life passed by me like a blur,
when I was so used to playing with blocks,
now I find my self building my future.
That got me thinking;

Why is everybody ahead of me?
They're now on stage three,
but I'm still on the ground.
Trying to figure out what to do next.

I figure out, nothing's so easy,
the envy, anger and shame,
it's crawling under my skin.
But everything will help me glow.

It's okay to be a young adult.
When all of them are building castles
I'll build my own sanctuary first
And then I'll make sure I'll rise up.

Don't decide things for me now,
I'm on my own this time.
Don't dictate me on what to do anymore,
I'll be walking down my own road.

I'm a young adult now.

I was so used to following people's lead,
but now, I saw no one's foot prints ahead of me.
It's clear like a blank slate, and everybody's eyes were on me.
That got me wondering;

Why am I all alone?
The resentment, the loneliness and the fright,
It's washing over my whole body.
But I won't let it pull me down.

I figure out, the only way's up,
I saw people looking down on me as they're on the sky,
They were mocking me, knowing I can't rise up.
No, that's where you're wrong.

It's okay to be a young adult.
Torn between wanting to do things and trusting people.
I'll go against the flow of streams.
Fighting the waves on my own, I'll learn.

Don't chant your prophecy of my fate,
I'll be the one to write my own story.
Don't erase things I've done behind.
It'll make my whole being.

I'm a young adult.

I'll drive my vehicle of dreams and go up,
I'll rise up higher than you guys are,
I'll make sure of it, I'll rock my own world.
Then shower the world with my gold sprinkles.

You'll feel so good, and I'll feel so cool.
Set aside your worries and let me drive
You'll be awed with my take off,
You'd want to follow me soon.

I figure out, the only way's up,
I saw people looking down on me as they're on the sky,
They were mocking me, knowing I can't rise up.
No, that's where you're wrong.

It's okay to be a young adult.
When all of them are building castles
I'll build my own sanctuary first
And then I'll make sure I'll rise up.

Don't chant your prophecy of my fate,
I'll be the one to write my own story.
Don't erase things I've done behind.
It'll make my whole being.

I'm a young adult.
