Just Some Updates (Because When Was The Last Time I Wrote A Blog? O.O)

Bonjour, my friends.

Okay, that was bad. Allow me to restart.

Hello!

Alright, so I haven't written a blog in quite a long time, and I was feeling a bit 'in the mood' and mildly energetic, and I decided to use this temporary energy to write a quick blog. Honestly, this isn't that important; feel free to click away and do something more productive (or not), because this is just a random and quick blog to discuss whatever's been happening in my life lately, and pieces of information regarding my stories that I may or may not have abandoned (I did not, don't worry).

Of course, the pandemic's still an extemely relevant and grave topic that we all should be concerned about, which is why it upsets me when I see these unnecessary debates on the dos and don'ts - honestly, most of their sayings pisses me off, especially with the infamous debate on whether we need to wear masks or not; there's no harm in wearing it, so please do! Besides, we must acknowledge every piece of protection that we can use!

Anyways, my school's opening in 10 days and I'm really excited and nervous at the same time; our government has decided to implement hybrid/blended learning, and my school has rotation between days to divide the students into two groups based on geographic locations. Well, I guess that piece of information was absolutely useless since you shouldn't care about what regulations my school has set, but moving on! All I can say is that I'm extremely anxious about how the teachers are going to teach all the topics, especially since I will be giving my IGCSE exams in 2021. I'm just praying the pandemic dies down soon and everything goes back to normal.

What have I been doing this quaratine? By the way, I refuse to consider these few months as a summer vacation because I literally did not step out of my house at all, except for that one cruel day when I had to check with a doctor regarding my dry cough (it was nothing serious and it stopped a week after taking medicine). I was and still is at home throughout the months - my parents did the essential shopping, and I have food, water and a roof! Oh, and there were online classes and there really was no reason for me to go outside, especially since I could exercise at home too. Nonetheless, I did watch a few movies, some animes, and I managed to rewatch several famous clips of Gordon Ramsay's 'Kitchen Nightmares' (don't regret it one bit because it's really entertaining). Then, there's the daily studying of 2-4 hours because I don't want to regret things later on. Moreover, I managed to write a lot for my story that I'm still working on. I really hope I can conclude it before school reopens, and I'm actually curious about how my readers feel about it because I'm putting in more efforts than I ever did for other stories. I think that sums up whatever I managed to do this 'vacation' (still refusing to call it that, by the way).

Now, I think I can give you all some details about my stories and works-in-progress. If you don't read my stories or aren't interested, then you should just skip it:

1. My first priority (as soon as I complete my drafted story) is to refurbish all my public stories, mainly focusing on spellings, grammar and line-breaks (because that's a mistake I've been doing all along, and my friends helped me acknowledge it). I will not be changing any of the content or dialogues because I want to go back to my old works someday and look at how I've improved - or worsensed, but hoping it's not the latter - over the years.

2. I'm working on the last few chapters (pretty lengthy chapters, by the way) of my drafted story and I hope to post it as soon as I'm done reposting my previous works, hopefully by the middle of September. I'll decide whether I want to update a chapter weekly or daily or in other patterns.

3. I have a few plans for a few new stories, and they're going to be relatively short. I hope I can work on them and post at least one of them by the end of the year.

4. There is another story I have in mind, and it's going to be extremely different from anything I've ever done before. It's not exactly a story, because I don't plan on finishing it - ever. It's something that I wish to continue for as long as I am willing to be a writer on AFF. Whenever I'm at a loss of ideas for a typical story, I'll work on this never-ending story I'm talking about (because it won't have a heavy plot). I'll reveal more details about this story later.

5. I will most probably be really slow in updates, or maybe I'll take a break from AFF, because I have to prepare for my IGCSE exams. If possible, I'd like to update short chapters for my previously mentioned story (the never-ending one, of course).

That's basically it! I hope I managed to 'inform' you all about my life during this serious situation, along with some basic information about my stories. I hope you all are taking care of yourselves; please stay safe, stay happy, and I hope you all used this time to find new hobbies or interests; I hope all families and friends are safe and healthy. Let me know how you all have spent/are spending these days!

- Adi (Aditi), your weird little friend that's terrible at focusing on writing her story <3
