I've been trying to find information about the hukuo system and although google offered me some information, most of the results I got was for registering between a foreigner and Chinese person. I am quite interested about both parties being Chinese people and how they do it. 

I read information about rural and urban, but I am interested if both parties need their family hukuo to register their marriage. If someone has any idea on the process it'll be a great help!

I want to write with a degree of detail and I don't want to get things wrong so, it'd be much appreciated to know some information about it.
