I couldn't answer her question.

"Do you see me as a friend?"

I was caught off gurad,

I wanted to say something,

Anything to relieve the growing tension,

But words failed to come out,

My voice remained unheard,

I just looked at her,

And she looked back...

And in silence,

We have spoken through our eyes.

Have you ever been in a situation like this? Where you feel guilty for something you don't really understand. Then, feel the awkwardness of the atmosphere. I once have. And to this day, I still can't answer the question she asked out of nowhere.

"Do you see me as a friend?"

...

How can you say that someone is your friend? And not an acquaintance, even though you've never talked with just the two of you aside from things that would concern your common friends.

Just a passing thought. But I'm really wondering if someone else had experienced this... maybe we can talk or just share the silence...
