Allergic to grass?

Hey guys, I'm looking for someone who is allergic to grass? T_T

Because I'm pretty convinced I just got allergic to grass (at age 28, I know, sounds dumb, apparently my mom also got her allergies around age 30) and I need someone to talk to about how much this  :(

I don't have an official diagnosis but I'm pretty sure it's grass allergies with my symptoms and I'm too lazy to see my doctor for confirmation on things like this.

First off, just dumb questions.

Does your allergies give symptoms only in your nose, your eyes or both places?

If in the eyes, do you wear contacts? Do your contacts annoy you more than normal during allergy season?

Do you have any symptoms like nausea or just feeling generally unwell?

What meds do you take? How often?

I know most allergy meds are non-prescription here, and obviously that not everything will work for every individual but it's nice to what works for you~

I'm really counting on age to get rid of my allergies again but oh well, so far I suppose I'll have to deal with it. c_c

Being allergic to grass is pretty common. Have you ever rolled around the grass as a kid? because I did and it was ing itchy all over and runny nose, lmao. My mom used to give me regular over the counter allergy medicine and it worked pretty great. Loratadine or cetirizine if it was a mild allergy or diphenhydramine if I came into contact with something severe. Though I'm not sure if that's considered over the counter medicine in your country. My problem in my country is that around spring and summer we get a lot of pollen and sahara desert dust which it makes it harder if you have allergy problems or are asthmatic. Overall it's not an allergy that I personally find alarming since it's something that over the counter medication can fix without spending money on doctors visits.

HEY LOOK WHO'S BAAAACK

its .... me

I'M not allergic, but my brother is, and has been for most of his life. Grass, dust, things that have fur on them, pollen.... The works. And from what I've seen, when it's bad with him, his eyes water and start to itch, his nose gets stuffy, he sneezes and gets red eyes (partially because of all of the rubbing he does). He's never worn contacts (never had any need for optical aid, lucky man), but my dad (who's also somewhat of an allergic, it's in the GENES babey!) says that allergies don't affect his contacts or how long he can stand to wear them - if they do, he doesn't notice, because he's used to alternating between the contacts and his glasses around nighttime anyways. I've never heard either of them complain about nausea - it's like they both get colds, just without the actual virus. It's just.... The grass. My brother takes two Benadryls whenever the sneezing and the eye-itching gets borderline unbearable, but that may have something to do with the fact that he's a man and doesn't like to take meds. And I, as someone who's allergic to mosquito bites (literally WHAT is going on in this family....), take two of the same kind as soon as I've discovered a bite, and it helps with MY general drowsiness and feeling unwell, and so far I'm the only one from my family I've heard of who gets stomach acid (øøh... Sure opstød???? Du ved hvad jeg mener) when I take them, but I get it whenever I take Panodil for headaches or migraines too. So that might just be my digestion being like "hey fam wtf"

I’m pretty certain I’m allergic to dust because my face got swollen after I cleaned my house once lol. My eyes watered so much. I didn’t take any meds tho, the redness and swelling went down the next day!
