Venture to the 5th circle of He*l

So you might've guessed it, but I made a kpop twitter account. Quarantine does things to you.

And oh my gosh, is it literally on fire 25/8.

But theres somethings I've learned and I wanted to share it with you. Warning, it might be long.

1. People are really mean. Like wow. I never knew how mean people could be until I ventured to twitter. You're over the age of ? = ripped apart for being old. The constant hatred of korean fans as international fans think they're better than them?  Multi stan? = automatic cancel.

2. This is an observation of fights and wars, but I never knew how divided a fandom could be until I ventured twitter. This is my take on the topic.

So, to begin this, it comes from a post about how people are shaming fans who have nicknames for themselves for their one member they stan in a group. As a Shawol, I was so confused? We got Lockets (Key) , Blingers (Jonghyun), MVPs (Onew), Flamers (Minho) and Taemints (Taemin). Having these names has never really divided the Shawol fandom (from what I've seen). I mean, because at the end of the day, we were Shawols and nothing changed that.

However, now fans on twitter dont realize this? Its just really sad. I think this logic can apply to how a fandom acts. For example, NCT. Nctzens are constantly fighting each other, because the fandom also enforces solo stannning unintentionally, by posting tweets for "clout" or whatever.

For example, there was this one that I saw and it said, "if you’re an nctzen reading this, your bias is either mark, taeyong, johnny or jaehyun"

While this seems like seemingly harmless tweet, it promotes the fact that other members of NCT dont matter. The only members that matter in NCT is Mark, Taeyong, Johnny or Jaehyun.

On the other hand, the shawols on twitter, never promote stuff like this? Shawols on twitter are always promoting OT5, and will literally fight anyone who says otherwise. If you go into anyone's bio that's a Shawol they'll have in big bold letters who in SHINee they're biasing, but also promote OT5 with their entire soul.

I think this is why collectively, the Shawol fandom has not seen as much in war fights as they see fights with non-shawols.

Also, stan twitter is super xenophobic and racist to Koreans & asians in general is something else I've noticed. It's really sad seeing how it's become the norm on stan twitter and no one recognizes it, because it's that normalized. The dehumanization of Kpop because its gross and cringe, when literally it stands for Korean Pop. Pop music is short for popular music. Another example would be over how armchairs (toxic armys ) always try to claim BTS as not Korean, is also really disgusting. Or they tried to make a whole deal of Suga dissing Mino (Winner) because he wore a traditional Korean styled outfit. Like???? That's both their cultures ?

My favorite saying I picked up on stan Twitter though applies to this entire post which is, "make it make sense" hahaha.

This is just my hot take on the 5th circle of hell, stan twitter. I'll probably keep my account, it was amazing being on SHINee twitter on SHINee Day. My entire feed was just SHINee and I've never felt more blessed seeing so much SHINee. I think I'll go back to lurking in the shadows hahaha.

However, if any of you on the AFF community want to join twitter, just know, it's a lot. Its filled with a lot of toxicity that has somehow become normalized. I just wish the AFF community was strong again like how it was back in the old days, but that's asking for a lot haha.
