All about me

Personality: Seth loves meeting new people and making new friends. He can strike up a conversation with just about anyone because of how easygoing he is. Seth is also very vocal and exudes an aura of confidence. He is fearless when it comes to speaking his mind. It does not matter if Seth is speaking to his professors, recruiters, or his mother. He will say whatever is on his mind if he feels strongly about the issue or situation. Seth is also extremely brave and loves to take risks, regardless if it is a good decision or not. He cares deeply for his friends as well and sees it as his job to shield them from harm. In addition, Seth loves to make sarcastic jokes and he can tease his friends for hours. He can also come off as cocky at times, especially when he is playing video games.

 

Background: Seth is a local student who comes from an upper middle class family. His father is a lawyer and his mother is an accountant, both having relatively high incomes. Seth chose to attend USC, because the Viterbi School of Engineering is one of the highest ranked in the country and it's also close to home, which makes it easy to visit his family. He did a summer internship at Facebook the year before and was offered a full-time job after graduation that he accepted, so he's taking it easy right now before he moves up to San Francisco.

Seth wakes up at nine in the morning every day and gets to campus by ten. On Thursdays, he'll grab lunch at the Tutor Campus Center (TCC) before heading to Leavey Library and studying there until his first class. As a teaching assistant (TA) for CSCI 103L, Seth holds his Office Hours at the Salvatori Computer Science Center (SAL) and usually studies while he waits for students to come see him. His Fridays are very relaxed with only two Lab sections of CSCI 103L that he needs to teach and then he's free to attend KASA parties. If KASA isn't hosting any parties, Seth will sometimes go to the Chinese American Student Association (CASA) parties or the Japanese Student Association (JSA) parties. His weekends are usually spent either in Koreatown or Little Tokyo, working on coding projects in cafes during the afternoon and then meeting up his friends for dinner.

 

Accommodation: Seth lives with three other guys off-campus in a three-bedroom unit in City Park Apartments. He lives in the double bedroom with his roommate from freshman year while the two single bedrooms are occupied by a friend from high school and a friend from KASA.

• playing video games - He has been gaming for as long as he can remember and spends hours in front of his computer or the TV with his game consoles hooked up. His favorite games to play are League of Legends (LoL), with an Ezreal main, and PlayerUnknown's Battleground (PUBG).

• skateboarding - He picked up the sport in middle school, and prefers it over riding a bike or a scooter. He owns a red penny board that he rides around campus.

• playing basketball - He is part of a recreational league that plays tournament games once a week. His team is comprised of some KASA friends and some Viterbi friends.

• swimming - He was on the varsity water polo and swim teams in high school for four years, and became Captain for both in his senior year. Nowadays, he swims five times a week for two hours to stay in shape.

• cooking - He enjoys cooking for himself and for friends, and usually spends an hour every evening in the kitchen of his apartment to cook dinner for all of his roommates.

 

• He is a light sleeper.

• He always has a packet of lactase pills on him due to being lactose-intolerant.

• He only orders black coffee or sugar-free milk tea, because there is a history of diabetes in the family.

"I'm always down to hang out with cool people and get to know them better. This'll be my last hurrah as a college student."

 

 

"Yeah, I do. I'm a soju guy—gotta rep my people, y'know—but wine is good for the more chill nights when you just sit back and relax for a deep chat. I have a pretty high alcohol tolerance, which is great since I like drinking and the feeling of being buzzed, but I don't like getting black-out drunk. I also tend to hug and hold others when I get drunk. No wandering hands, I promise. I just really like being around people."
