One-star rating party!!!!

For those of you who have been genuinely enjoying my story, you'll probably think I'm nuts for requesting one-star ratings, but hear me out.

I write to increase love and acceptance in this world towards those who have been marginalized. Stories shape our culture, and that is why I share mine everywhere I can. I want readers to be emotionally moved to be kinder and more honest in their daily lives. What you want may not be the same as what someone else wants in life, but that's fine as long as you're not hurting anyone.

Last week, I discovered a platform called Scribble Hub. The site looked like a fun place to share my work, so I signed up and started posting my chapters.

The first few ratings rolled in at one star.

I've seen this happen before on other sites. People read the title and blurb only, and then they give it a one-star rating because they think that it's disgusting for women to have multiple lovers. They don't even give the story a chance!

Well this time, instead of letting it get me down, I decided to roll with it. I've asked my best friends to give it a one-star rating too. Here's my goal: since "popularity" is determined by how many reads and favorites (hearts, not stars) a story has, this could still make it to the trending page if we spam it with love. I want to see what happens when a one-star story tops the trending charts.

If you'd like to join the one-star party, here's where you can find my story:
