"it's my life and i'm the one in control of it." moon jehyun is and always has been independent, one to take charge and pave his own path. he doesn’t like depending on other people and works best on his own. he’s hardworking, organized, intelligent, and meticulous. he’s always on top of his and the type to think things through and plan ahead. he likes being in control and knowing what’s going on, he’s not a fan of surprises.

"time is precious, and you aren't worth my time." he usually leads with logic, in the outside world that’s what he believes will result in success. he can be quick to judge and be close minded about his opinions. he’s straightforward and blunt in the way that he talks and doesn’t like getting involved with things that aren’t of his concern. his voice may be on the softer side, but his sentences are always firm and his words come out short and curt. he finds small talk as he finds it superficial and draining, a waste of his time.
"i hate people." definitely more of an introvert, he isn't a fan of much social interaction outside of work. he can come off as cold to others since he doesn’t care much for socializing and would rather go home and play games. definitely the type that prefers being on his own unless it's with his family.
"leave me alone." ifor someone who hides behind a screen and hates the outdoors, he claims he is unfortuately cursed with good looks. "if i could be uglier, i would," he always claims. his sister continuously forces him to dye his hair (currently blonde) different colors as she believes he looks like a budding kpop star, and often when he works in the bakery he gets hit on by girls. which he hates. he hates attention, the stares from girls and the flirting when he works, he rather crawl in a hole and die. he can never say no to his sister, though, and often dons a hoodie with his hood up to try and hide his appearance as much as he can.
"i can be baby...don't tell anyone though." he’s known to be hardheaded most of the time and he struggles admit that he’s ever wrong. he isn’t one to easily express his emotions or thoughts with people. although he doesn’t open up easily, he has a huge heart for those that he has opened up to (in his case, his family). if you’re able to crack that outer shell, you get the complete 180 and see the sweet mama’s boy and protective older brother. the boy who grew up too fast and now is able to act like the kid he never got to be. he can be a big baby that yearns for praise for his accomplishments and success. for those that he lets in, he can be thoughtful and overprotective of his loved ones. he can be whiny and pouty when he doesn't get his way around those he's fully comfortable with, and unknowingly speaks with a baby voice around his mom and sister now that they are well off without needing too much of his help or guidance.

Initial Meeting: they first meet around the time young nasan has started back up again. saemi was yet again escaping the restaurant to do as she wanted. she got caught by one of her siblings just as she reached the exit and it was then that she started running. knowing it was a lost cause, her sibling went back inside (they would get revenge later). it was then that saemi ran around the corner and straight into jehyun, who instinctively caught her. as they two made brief eye contact, that’s when things when slow motion for saemi. this was so kdrama-like, it was everything she dreamed of, and he was very cute, mind his horrible fashion choice. a hoodie in this warm weater? and- he let her go almost immediately as soon as the two were steady, brushed himself off, and started to walk away without a word.was she being ignored? she caught up to him.

ever since she got to nasan, a lot of young people had approached her or had at least recognized her. this was new. first of all, how the did he not know who she was? even worse, how could he not want to? he had to feel what she felt in their little kdrama moment. there was no way she just imagined the spark. ahh, he for sure was playing hard to get. she followed after him and introduced herself with a bright smile to which he barely responded to. he kept trying to walk away with barely any answer, but she didn’t notice and continuously tried to make conversation.
she walked with him down the street to his family bakery, where his mother was surprised there was a girl with him and jihye well, she was ecstatic. turned out his sister was a big fan. so apparently this girl was famous on youtube or something. big deal. she definitely seemed like a typical rich kid. spoiled, probably never had to work a day in her life. he worked hard to get where he was at. she was the type of person jehyun didn’t like, but now he would have to play nice for the sake of his sister who seemed to idolize her.
saemi began stopping by the bakery every now and then. out of excitement from meeting her, his sister had began to play her videos on the bakery’s tv. so every time he came into work, jehyun came home to young saemi whether she was there in person or on screen. saemi liked jehyun, and it was a known fact. both their families knew. something about his cold quietness and contrast to her was just cool. and very attractive. but jehyun only tolerated her, really.
she was just too carefree, didn’t know what it was like to actually be serious in life. he kept trying to work and she would pop up out of nowhere. literally showing up at a pc-bang she found out he went to from his sister (stole from sixth or snuck out of young nasan), always being at the bakery, being brought up at home.
it reaches a point where he can’t take it anymore and goes off on her, just wanting to be left alone. he calls her spoiled, doesn’t know what it’s like to work, expecting everyone to like her and get things handed to her. “grow up”. his words hit her where it really hurt, and she walks away. she stopped showing up around him, too. when she stops, jehyun feels a little strange. yeah, he finally got rid of her, but something felt weird. was he feeling guilty about what happened? he wasn’t one to care about others that easily.
