「 ＥＸＯ ＲＥＷＩＮＤ 」 Haruto is Tao
Chinese: native languages; he grew up speaking Mandarin and Taiwanese, and is intermediate with Cantonese and Hakka.
English: Pretty much fluent, English is widely used throughout Taiwan and is a mandatory language learnt at school. Also parents made him get some tutoring for English outside of school. Not to mention his mother is fluent, having been born and raised in good ol' US of A.
Korean: Conversational, since he had successfully auditioned into a Korean entertainment company, and so he knows that he has to work and live in S.Korea, he started learning Korean. He mix up tenses and grammar.
Spanish: Basic, his mother (and father) knows the language very well and wants her kids to know it too since it is the fourth most spoken language in the world. She makes him and his brother study it intermittently. Currently (aka at the time of debut) he can understand when spoken to and his pronouciation is on point but he can't, for the life of him, remember the vocab when he goes to reply in this language.

He is very imaginative and uses this quality as an accessory to empathy, observing others' emotional states and seeing things from their perspective. Being pragmatic though, it is a very practical imagination, however he does find some odd things quite fascinating and inspiring. Rather than offering sporadic, excited rushes that leave things half finished, Ezekiel is meticulous and careful, taking a steady approach and bending with the needs of the situation just enough to accomplish his end goals. This would not only ensure that things are done to the highest standard, but often go well beyond what is required.
Ezekiel is a private and sensitive person, and internalise his feelings a great deal. Much like the way that he protects others' feelings, he protects his own, and this lack of healthy emotional expression can lead to a lot of stress and frustration. His strong sense of duty and perfectionism combine with his aversion to emotional conflict creats a situation where it is easy for him to overload himself - or be overloaded by others - as he struggle to silently meet everyone's expectations, especially his own. Valuing traditions and history in most of his decisions, a situation sometimes needs to reach a breaking point before he is persuaded to alter course, either by circumstance, or the strong personality of a loved one.
His personality type is the type to be universal helpers; sharing their knowledge, experience, time and energy with anyone who needs it, and all the more so with friends and family. Striving for win-win situations, choosing empathy over judgement whenever possible. 'The meek shall inherit the earth, but it's a long road if they receive no recognition at all.' Sometimes Ezekiel gets so concerned with others' feelings that he refuse to make his own thoughts known, or sometimes too modest to take any duly earned credit for his contributions. His standards for himself are also so high that knowing he could have done some minor aspect of a task better, he often downplay his successes entirely, as well as it keep being on his mind for days.
Ezekiel's born as the second child to a relatively well-off family, and brought up to be filal, hard working and honest. His father, David, as an IT manager consultant was always moved around by his company to different countries every so often, and so met and married his wife, whose there for a year-long research project, in Australia (they met-cute and just clicked and had a whirlwind romance). Then somehow by fate or destiny he was moved to his wife's hometown in San Francisco, California when she had to head home after wrapping up said project (hmmm, things worked out very very well. You sure he's not a bastard lovechild of the owner of this mysterious company?), where Ezekiel and his older brother was born. David was recalled to Taiwan (when Ezekiel was 6) and he worked hard to be promoted, so no more transfers to other countries every few years, and as such the family decided to settle down in Taiwan as they did not want to disrupt their kids' education and the making of good friends (they moved permanently when Ezekiel was 10). Ezekiel and his brother were both sent to a variety of martial arts classes (such as wing chun, brazilian jujitsu, krav maga, aikido, and capoeira for Ezekiel muay thai for William) to learn how to defend themselves from unsavoury people. They stay fit and are pretty competent with all the different martial arts, maintaining them all well, but they tend to mix and match whenever the situation calls for it.
Listening to and appreciating classical music since he was little (his family's hobbies are all quite instrumental; e.g. father know how to play the violin, mother the piano, brother the guitar) he loves anything to do with music, learning to play the cello almost to AMUS level. During first year of middle/high school he learnt about singing and dancing; and was very exicted to learn all about this new venue of music. He joined some dance crews to learn dancing and contributing ideas. He's a staple in school productions, he's a quick learner and is happy to do any job they needed people for (e.g. as an actor or handyman or handling the lights, etc.).
Being so surrounded by the performing arts facilitated his love of singing, dancing and performing so much that he decided to join the entertainment industry. There was a bit of tension during these times since his father worries that he'll never have a stable income and thus a comfortable life if he doesn't make it or the management he applied for and got accepted to is incompetent and squanders his youth, his mother worrying that he would be worked to the bones with nothing to show for it. He decided reach out and grab for his dreams anyhow - no pain no gain right? - to audition for several companies: taiwanese, chinese, korea, especially since the Hallyu wave introduced to eGlobal Auditions, there's plenty to audition for. He's not picky, although he does prefer it if it was a company with a strong presence in the industry. And then he received the news that he got into SM! f**k yeah!
As his older brother was studying in S. Korea for his medical degree at the time, Ezekiel was able to move to S. Korea to undergo training. He transferred high school to finish off his studies (one of the stipulations before his parents allowed him to go) and is currently living in his brother's apartment.

RELATIONSHIPS
Parents : Wang, Da Wei (王大卫) (father), Ong, Fei Chu (王菲珠) (mother) / businessman and researcher professor respectively / overprotective, easygoing, intelligent, cunning and devious, can be patient, their ire burns with the fury of a thousand suns
Normal parent-child relationship, loving, respectful, and protective of each other. Father can get very cheesy towards the mother, and likes to squish their cheeks and be like "look at you, my poor babies, why are you so thinnnnn eat moooreee" and then shoves second and third helpings on to them and their visiting friends.He also loves hugging his kids, whom usually be like ok that's enough you can let go now. Unless they are in emotional distress, then they would just cry it out in his arms, ...he's a good hugger ok. Mother is the sweet yet sometimes grumpy one. The one who makes sure they have enough blankets and packs them lunch, and teaches them the necessary skills to survive in the world (father helps too). Father protects (shield), mother attacks (sword) her philosophy is that a good offense is the best defense.
Older brother : Wang, William (王威廉) / medical student / sweet, patient, friendly, extremely intelligent, cunning and devious, can sometimes be very blunt
Somewhat regular brotherly relationship. You know the type that pranks and teases, but always trusts each other above others and sticks together through thick and thin, protective and supportive of each other, best of friends. They are very close, if he gets the chance to he would talk through his problems with him all the time. Like every relationship they do fight but they always make up at the end of the day. He can handle himself very well under pressure. They share a love of apple desserts, matcha, stories, appreciates non-mordern landscapes and a somewhat eidetic memory.
EXO-M : plotlines Kris, Lay, Chen, Xiumin, Luhan / fellow members / various personality traits
Closer to fellow chinese memebers, due to ease of communication (language) and common cultures/way of doing some things, and perhaps common interests. They are a tight-knit group, more than collegues they are shield brothers. Ezekiel likes to bother Kris plotline for assurance when insecure, surprise hugs Lay plotline and bother him when being excited about something (shared common interests? can fanboy together).
EXO-K : Plotlines Suho, Baekhyun, Kai, D.O., Chanyeol, Sehun / fellow members of EXO / various personality traits
Regular memberly relationship, Suho plotline being the mother-hen to everyone in EXO, and Kai plotline is the one to teach Ezekiel how to smolder into the camera. He has a sweet spot for Baekhyun plotline.
He puts his utmost effort into each and every performance, shown to the public or otherwise he doesn't slack off any effort. He's also very good at melodramatising stories, wasting people's time, yet they are still asking for more. More reserved in variety shows, he's happy to allow his other members to shine more, he knows how to play off the MC/hosts' comments very well (usually the chinese/taiwanese shows, the korean ones not so much... he's learning though). When given the chance to show off however, he does it well, always making people either laugh or go wow.
hmmm, something like... one of them is a confidant cheesy and competently charming and sortof do random thoughtful things to pamper the other? and the other has tsudere-ish tendencies? like yaknow acting all grumpy and contrary on the out side becuase he's never done this or have this sort of feeling before but actually cares (and actually does things to show so, but denies that he did it vehemently) and worries about anything and everything (generally on the inside, but certain perceptive persons can see through to him). Sometimes they have cute moments with each other (in 'public' and EXO members teases them ... lol)
DO SOME ANGST, I LOVE ANGST! obstacles and misunderstandings and drama ohohohoho (although I don't have any ideas to give you... sorry )
