So okay. I haven't been on here in years. And honestly, I've put my tumblr on semi-hiatus for the past 6 months or so as well. I think that a majority of my reasoning behind both of these actions (or I guess, inactions), was to protect my mental health after...everything. Lots of life changes in the recent years as well had made me step back and reconsider what areas of my life I was putting most of my time towards, and as I was going through my undergrad degree I began to realize that I needed to just put my nose to the metaphorical grindstone and focus on school until I finished. Well, I've been finished for almost 5 months now, and as I sit here ignoring my PhD application that still has to be tweaked, I've decided that I need to bring writing back into my life. I may not have ever been particulalry great at it but I loved it so much and it really helped me foster a sense of community within the fandom that extended beyond posting about Taemin's gucci slippers on tumblr (not to discount those posts though, that was beyond fun at the time lol). 

Still, despite all these changes, losses, and new life paths-- my love for SHINee and shawols never wavered. I may have been distant in a social media sense, but that underlying love for this group of talented men and all those who have come to appreciate them...that never changed. SHINee has been a force unlike any other; they have affected my life in every facet possible, far beyond anything I could I have imagined as a meek 13 year old being forced to watch Sherlock for the first time by my best friend. So I think it's only fitting that I come full circle and return to this spot that had been a happy place for me for so many years as a teen. I'm not sure if I'll ever really return to tumblr other than to look through all the posts I meticulously catalogued over the years, but writing will be my first step in coming back to the wider community. I feel more at peace now and there's no better time than the present. 

Not sure what I plan on writing, or when I'll begin uploading, but I'll keep y'all (if there even is anyone out there who remembers me anymore haha) updated.
