appearance valeria does not look like what you'd expect from a playful and dumb girl like her. she has sharp eyes, angled in what can commonly be confused for a glare. she has a serious case of resting face that adds to her scary aura. most noticeable about valeria is her tattoos. both of her arms are drenched in sleeves of tattoos. some of the art she's tattooed to her body include a chibi pig, since she was born in the year of the pig, a trail of stars, and the kanji symbol for 'kame' that the dragon ball z character, goku, wears on his uniform. all of her tattoos would normally be a nightmare for the show's editors. but, since she normally wears long sleeved shirts, they don't have to worry about blurring it.
valeria started dying her hair during high school. she keeps to natural colors, like brown, blonde, and ginger. though recently she's started to dye her hair colors like silver, rose gold, and pastel blue. however, she's currently sporting her natural black locks to give her scalp a rest.

occupationshe is a dancer and choreographer , popular through her videos youtube. she, along with her friend wooseok, opened her own dance studio- avalon- in 2017. she has taught dance once she moved to south korea. through her dance covers, she blew up and since then has been able to choreograph dances for kpop groups. just for comparison, think 1million dance studio and lia kim!

growing up, she was a bit of a tomboy. she loved to play soccer and volleyball- so much so that her mother signed her up to join her neighborhood's all-girl soccer team, and eventually in high school she joined the vollyball team, as well. she was also really into video games, especially the nintendo games. she used to always be found in her local arcade, tearing it up on mortal kombat.
but, no hobby sparked valeria's interest as much as dancing. she used to dance a lot as a kid, though it could of easily be mistaken for every kid's childish love for dance. by the time she hit middle school, however, it was obvious that she was invested in it. she would make choreographies for her favorite songs, and in high school, she volunteered at a children's hospital to teach kids dances. she even tried forming her own dance crew, but that didn't last.
growing up, valeria was at first an only child. but, when she was 9, her mother gave birth to her little sister, samara. her parents were worried that valeria wouldn't transition well into becoming an older sister, but that wasn't the case. she adores samara, and babies her more than her parents do. samara is the only person who valeria is able to put ahead of herself.
[ the move to korea ] after the idea was suggested by one her friends, valeria started posting dance covers of songs on youtube during her senior year of high school. she wasn't too popular from the start, but had gotten a bit of attention for her kpop videos.
by the time she graduated, she knew she wanted to do something with dance. and her mother suggesed a performing arts school that she knew- but, it was all the way in korea. the school had good credit to its name, and valeria had been to south korea more than a few times during school breaks and vacations. so, in an impulse decision, valeria decided that she wanted to attend.
she moved to korea when she was about to turn 19. her mother came with her, though only for a few months to help her settle. she started attending the school, after getting in by using her mother's modeling name and history to her advantage, during the spring of 2014.
[ seoul institute of the arts ] while attending her university, seoul institute of the arts, valeria met a boy named nam wooseok. the two were both majoring in dance and got along because of it. he started joining her in her dance cover videos, which slowly but surely were gaining a bigger audience.
valeria, who was never good at school, did qell at the institute. since she was learning about something of her interest, she succeeded with flying colors.
[ avalon ] by the time valeria and wooseok graduated from their university, her youtube videos were extremely popular. since wooseok was appearing in her videos so much, she decided to change the channel name (which was originally 'valerian') to 'avalon' and shared it equally with her friend.
the two were getting brand deals, agent calls, and interviews non-stop. it inspired the two to open their own dance studio in seoul, simply named 'avalon' after their channel. their team grew as they added more dancers, and soon avalon, and valeria were big in south korea's dance community.
not only was the crew getting millions of views in their videos, but after a while, valeria was choreographing dances for idol groups. starting off, it was smaller, lesser-known groups. but by 2019, she's worked as a freelance choreographer for moderately popular groups all over.
[ love game ] since moving into korea, valeria has had plenty of short-lived relationships and one night stands. but she hasn't had anything serious. an acquaintance of hers told her that love game was casting, and she saw it as both a cute chance to meet someone new, as well as boost the popularity of her studio.

don't judge a book by its cover » at first, a lot of people think valeria is going to be a cold and scary person. with her tattoos, edgy style and gijibe-esque makeup; she's quite intimidating. but, it doesn't take long for people to realize she's much softer than you'd think. she never realizes that so many people think this of her. so, when she notices that a stranger is avoiding her, she assumes their just being jerks.

dislikes » sour candy! even the candy with the softest sour flavor is too much for her. she also dislikes the heat. she doesn't like feeling sweaty and hot at the same time. she doesn't like being bossed around either, and gets defensive anytime somebody tries to tell her what to do.

victor moon » father / 50 / much of valeria's personality comes from her father. they're basically identical, and that means they get along very well. since he was the parent that was able to be home most of the time, valeria naturally is closer to her father than she is to her mother.
lee jihyun » mother / 48 / all lee jihyun does is stress over her eldest daughter. she calls her every day to ask her what she's doing and how she is. and valeria finds this very annoying, even though she knows her mom's just doing what mothers do best. jihyun constantly went back and forth from korea and america, since she worked as a model- so she wasn't at home a lot when valeria was a kid. she's since retired. she is actually quite proud of valeria, despite how much she worries over her.
samara moon » sister / 16 / valeria loves her little sister with all her heart. samara grew up to become a dramatic and aggresive girl, but valeria still sees her as her little baby. samara is the popular girl in her class and rules the school with a powerful aura. but when she's around her jokester of a big sister, she gets treated like a kid, which ticks samra off all the time.
nam wooseok » best friend / 26 / the two met in uni and hit it off immediately. he's a bit more stable than valeria, and is more in charge of the business side of things. they see each other every day and are like siblings at this point.
love experience
[ experience ] most of valeria's experience in dating comes with high school, which isn't really a credible source. she's had a couple of boyfriends as a teenager- though all have been forms of puppy love. since then, her relationships have never been long term.
[ heart break ] valeria has never experienced a serious heart break before. all her relationships have ended due to mutual agreement or personalities that just didn't match.
[ around those she likes ] valeria's confidence shows when she likes somebody. she shows blatant signs, like touching them too long, flirting, and calling them cute names. eventually, she'll just tell them straight up that she likes them. she's extremely forward and open when she's attracted to someone- which could be good or game over for her.
she doesn't take getting shot down well. when someone doesn't like her back, her self-centered bubble pops. she starts moping over it, wonder just how can they not like her back?
