[PERSONALITY TRAITS] ISFP, Gryfinpuff / Supportive, reliable, patient, imaginative, observant, enthusiastic, loyal, hardworking, good practical skills, humble, shy, takes things too personally, represses her feelings, overloads/overworks, reluctant to change, too altruistic.[PERSONALITY]

Sayumi is a bright girl who is always ready to help those around her. She is very patient, loyal and supportive, meaning she would do anything for those close to her if it's within her power.  But she can often be too altruistic, sometimes to the point of neglecting her own feelings and needs. She often represses her feelings as she doesn’t want to push them onto other people and cause them worry, but at the same time this can sometimes cause her more stress as she deals with them on her own.

She's hardworking which she has been told is a good point about herself, just not when it leads to her overworking herself and burning herself out. Sayumi is a little shy, mostly around people she doesn’t know, which can sometimes come off as if she is uninterested in others, even though she isn't.

[BACKGOUND]

Ohno Sayumi was born in Nagoya, Japan on April 1st, 1995, making her the youngest of two children. From a young age, Sayumi loved music, her parents would often play music and Sayumi would dance and mumble baby talk along to it before she could really speak. As she started growing up, Sayumi never lost that love of music. When she was about five, her parents enrolled her into dance and vocal lessons as it seemed to be something she really enjoyed. By the time Sayumi was six she was enrolled in the majority of dance classes her dance school had to offer, taking everything from ballet to jazz and even tap. Sayumi continued to dance and take vocal lessons all throughout her childhood. As she grew older, Sayumi and her brother, Yudai, grew closer as they started to practice and perform together at local talent shows. The two would typically sing more than dance as Yudai was known to be a wonderful vocalist by many and Sayumi wasn’t really bothered as she just loved being able to bond with her brother despite their large age difference.

When Sayumi was thirteen she started to notice more and more idol groups around on the internet and in the media and thats when she decided that that is what she wanted to do with her life. She originally wanted to audition to be part of the Hello Pro Egg program but failed to convince her parents to let her do so. It wasn’t until she was fifteen that she was finally given the opportunity to move to Tokyo with her brother. Her parents wanted to give her the opportunity so that she could get a better education and attend a better high school since Tokyo was larger and they believed it had more to offer. Sayumi quickly jumped at the idea, thinking that it would be easier for her to achieve her dream if she were to move to Tokyo. So after passing her High School entrance exam, Sayumi and Yudai made the move to Tokyo together.

When Sayumi finally arrived in Tokyo, she joined a local dance crew, quickly melding well into the group and becoming one of the main members. Those dreams of becoming an idol were quickly pushed to the back burner as she started to focus mostly on school and spent the majority of her free time with the dance crew she had joined. That was until her brother had been asked to join a new group that was to be called blackout (later changed to Da-iCE) as one of the two vocalists. Seeing her brother complete his dream of becoming a singer inspired her and pushed her to do the same. After talking with her parents, Sayumi decided that she would only audition for companies after she graduated high school. After all, she did have a strong value for education just like she did for music.

Sayumi did her best to self train herself from when she was sixteen until she was finally able to audition for companies. But after she left high school, Sayumi didn't know what company she wanted to audition for. She thought of auditioning for any and every company she could, be really didn't like the idea. So in the mean time, she decided to get job as a sales assistant (as she wansn't goin into university and didn't want to freeload of her brother) and continued her self training. She wasn't ready to give up, but she also didn't know where she wanted to go. This was also the time where she started thinking that maybe a Korean agency was for her, so she also did her best to try study Korean. It wasn't until she saw a notice for a company called Unite Media in late 2016 that she decided to finally audition. After being called to another audition over in Korea, Sayumi had been informed that she made it and was accepted into Unite Media and started training in early 2017.

[TRAINEE YEARS] Five years (2013-2016 as an individual trainee, 2017-2018 under Unite Media)

[TRAINEE LIFE]
Sayumi's trainee life was pretty average. She would wake early and go to the studio to practice before school and would go straight back to practice after school as well. She was very committed to her training, only missing a couple of days in her five years. If she was sick and couldn't dance, she would sing, if she couldn't do either she would practice her Korean and English or do something else, anything else. She liked to believe her commitment was her strongest point in her trainee years (especially during her individual years). That being said, training still wasn't easy.  She had her times of doubt and times where she wondered if it would all be worth it in the end or if she really had what it took to actually debut, after all, there were a lot more trainees that she thought were better than her. But in the end it only pushed Sayumi to do her best to prove that she had what it took to debut, and in the end it payed off.

Once she heard Unite was planning a survival show of sorts, she knew it was a chance she had to make. If she wasn't a member of the winning group, hopefully it would get her name out there. There was no harm in trying after all.

[SCANDALS]

Some time after their debut / U/IDOL's Sayumi disrespectful to her seniors? / false / Though it is true that Sayumi forgets to use Korean honourifics from time to time, she doesn't do it out of spite or disrespect. It's an honest mistake on her part and she often apologises as soon as she realises what she did.

Hanamyra Sota

[NAME] Hanamura Sota (Da-iCE)

[BACKUP] Wada Hyate (Da-iCE)

[PERSONALITY]

ESFP / Bold, original, showmanship, practical, observant, excelent people skills, sensitive, conflict-averse, easily bored.

[LOVE STORY]

Sayumi originally met Sota not too long after she had moved to Tokyo with her brother. Like with the other members of Da-iCE, Sayumi naturally got close with Sota, even thinking of him as a brother, but it didn't stay like that for long. After about three years of living in Tokyo and becoming super close to the boys (namely Hayate and Sota) and seeing them almost every day, Sayumi found herself starting to feel odd around Sota in a way that felt different to when she was with the other boys. Her heart would beat fast when she was near him and she would feel shy for no apparent reason. She realised that what she was feeling was of course a crush and she did all that she could to hide it, after all, Sayumi thought it impossible that Sota liked her back and that was even without thinking of the .

Over the next year, whenever Sayumi thought she was finally over what she liked to call a puppy crush, Sota would find a way to make her heart flutter, even if it was unintentional. Something as simple as smiling at her or even just looking each other in the eyes while they were talking would instantly make Sayumi feel shy and like she wanted to hide away. It even got to the point where she would become noticeably flusted even just being in the same room as Sota. Hayate noticed this and decided to question Sayumi about it, but whenever he did, she would always find away to avoid the question. Hayate though, was not done. He would constantly pester Sayumi about it until she finally cracked and told him. From then on, Hayate became an almost cupid like figure in Sayumi's life. Always getting her to stay around Sota by volunteering her to go to the convenience store with him or tricking her into the wrong practice room. Because of this, it didn't take much longer for not only Sota, but the rest of the members to catch on to what Hayate was doing. The other members started to get in on what Hayate had started because even though Sayumi didn't know it yet, Sota had been harbouring the similar feelings for the younger girl.

A few weeks after her nineteenth birthday, Sayumi had told Hayate her intentions to finally tell Sota what she felt. It was not too long after that that she noticed something odd happening with the people around her. Yudai had called her while she was training to find out what time she would be going to meet him, which is something he had never done before and when she asked Hayate if something was going on he would say nothing at all and turn rather quiet, which was not like him at all. But Sayumi being Sayumi decided to just brush it off and went about her day like normal. When her training was over for the day and she finally got to Da-iCE's practice studio she found an empty practice room, it wasn't anything odd but something just didn't feel right. As she went to turn around, she bumped into, you guessed it, Sota, who was also confused about where the other members had gone. The two entered into the practice room and decided to just sit and wait for the others. Minutes talking had turned into hours before Sayumi had realised that this must have been the reason Yudai and Hayate had been acting suspicious before. Sayumi quickly decided that it would be the perfect opportunity to finally tell Sota how she felt as she wasn't sure when she would get a chance and the others had seemingly set it up. She plucked all the courage she had in her and finally told him. And much to her shock, he told her he felt the same way. That day they didn't agree to date or anything, but they did agree that they would stop hiding their feelings for each other, and that they did.

From that point on, you could kind of say that the two were exclusively not dating. The two would find any excuse or reason to be around eachother, everything from going to the convenience store to get drinks and food for the others to going on (not) dates. The two don't act overly coupley around others, but when they are on (not) dates or alone hanging out at Sota or Sayumi's house, Sayumi will always hold Sota's hand and almost refuse to let it go. She just likes the feeling of staying close to him and can sometimes be super clingy.

[STATUS] Exclusively not dating (since 2014) /  They both know how they feel about one-another. They have even told eachother. They're not dating but they are not just friends either. They are in some inbetween phase.

[ENDING] Dating (April 1st, 2018) / After almost four years of exclusively not dating, Sota finally decides to ask Sayumi to be his girlfriend on her birthday, to which she agrees in a heart beat.

[TRIVIA]

/ Sota was born in 1990, making him five years older than Sayumi.

/ Although Sayumi sometimes calls the other members of Da-iCE Onii-san, she has never refered to Sota by this name.

/ Sayumi sometimes likes to tease Sota by calling him Chibi-Tan.

/ Even though they are not technically a couple, Sayumi finds couple items really cute, so naturally they have a few couple items such as matching phone chases, bracelets, jumpers and even rings.

/ Sayumi is only four centermeters shorter than Sota.

/ Even though the members of Da-iCE know about their exclusivly not dating type of relationship, Sayumi is hesitent to tell the members of U/IDOL and originally only tells those she's closest to.

Tei

[COMMENTS]  Here is my girl, Sayumi! I hope you like her! She's actually a character I created for a story of mine a while back but never got to use, so I hope she's okay! I'm sorry her personality is all over the place. For some reason I really can't write personalities no matter how hard I try.

[SUGGESTIONS] Can't think of any at the moment!

Hey there Tei! First off I just have to let you know how much I love Da-iCE! They are amazing and it made me happy to see them in your application!

I want to keep this short as it is a little late. Basically, I can’t find any issues with your application! Sayumi has been accepted!
