Moons and Hooded Figures

She was sitting there, on her desk table while staring at the window across her. The full moon was glaringly obvious in the darkness of the night, along with the twinkling of the stars that seemingly enough to bring peace in her heart... well, not her mind.

Just outside her window was the stretching branches of the old tree in their backyard. The leaves were lush green, although it can't be noticed with only the moonlight shining. The wind breeze was enough to sway the branches, along with the leaves and the small buds. When the young girl heard a noise, a sigh escaped her lips.

"You visited me the third time this week and it is only Wednesday." She mumbled, staring at the crow that just landed on the thick branch, just outside of her window. "Are you gonna tell me the sad stories of tears and farewells from the other side of the world again?"

There was a count of a second, and then another and then the crow changed into a hooded figure, sitting by the branch, with thick robes that would probably protect the figure with the cold breeze.

"I wasn't visiting you. You have called me for me, the third time this week, although it was only Wednesday." The deep voice responded, not sparing her a glance as they also stared at the bright full moon up above.

"Touche..." The young girl mumbled, sighed and then a smile formed on her lips. "So are you here to start your tales of the wonderful moons on the other side? Did you come to try your luck bringing me to your travels? Or did you come to leave me again in the comfort of this room and refer it to another chance?"

"I wasn't one to give you a chance, my dear. Nor is it my decision or responsibility to convince you to come with me in my journey... As for the stories..." The figure trailed off, chuckled, "There was a little puppy up north who didn't want to come with me, he seemed to be waiting for his owner. His orbs were adorable, and despite the lack of empathy I have, I've let him go."

"That's something you would do." The girl muttered, totally unimpressed.

"Yes. You were the best example." Another chuckle, "It seems like I wasn't strong enough yet. But I'm getting stronger, and I'd be able to take you with me."

The clock in her desk ticked, the time 12:00 AM breaking the girl's trail of thought.

At the notice of the time, the hooded figure stood. "It is time for me to go."

"No surprise there..." The girl huffed, even more unimpressed that moment. The figure shot her a glance, although there was nothing much to see with the hood hiding all of their face in the darkness.

"I didn't fail in convincing you to come to my travels. You were the one who failed to convince yourself." The hooded figure noted and morphed back into a crow before flying away.

The girl stayed there, sitting, another sigh escaped her lips. She was sure she'll meet that crow again, once more probably this week. That crow was the reflection of her soul anyway... and up until the crow becomes strong enough to take her one day, she needs to get some sleep first.
