❀ juyeon is the very definition of a classic korean beauty. v-shaped jaw, small face and features except for her wide glossy eyes, and her slim & petite body. she was designed to be desirable for a wide demographic, as her beauty has a duality to it- she can pull off
cutesy and sweet (which is what daewon prefers), as well as
graceful and elegant. her hair changes according to whatever her owner prefers, which is a preference that changes quite frequently. daewon will see a pretty girl with short blonde hair in the street and come home and have juyeon change her hair to match- for example, her hair currently is long and gray because he saw a girl group member with that style and he liked it. by far her best feature is her ability to change her hair (
luna note! think of kara changing her hair after running with alice!) she doesn't have to cut her hair, she can retract the strands into her body or extend the hair for hair growth. her interface comes with a color wheel so hair color is infinite- this is why her eyes are also impressive, not only are they big and beautiful, she also has a color wheel for her eyes too and can change them to anything. daewon prefers green but juyeon herself really likes light hazel.

❀ what daewon prefers juyeon to wear versus what she finds to be comfortable are pretty different, unsurprisingly. most androids are required to wear uniforms, but given juyeon's purpose she does wear human women clothes to add to the illusion. daewon buys her clothes that are the epitome of feminine- a splash of cute, a mix between girly casual and formal, he mostly just asks the women at the shops what is trendy at the moment and purchases their recommendations. either way, juyeon has to look put together and styled constantly ("
what does she need lounge wear for, she doesn't! she's an android!") juyeon, on the other hand, has a whimsical approach to clothes. when daewon is at work and she is alone she enjoys reading fantasy novels and watching movies. she ponders what it would be like to wear such pretty pastels or white loose flowy dresses in the middle of a meadow or beach. essentially juyeon wishes she could dress in flowy, loose garments that aren't skin tight and very comfortable. an example of a good comfortable juyeon approved outfit is a layered dress with a big oversized sweater under or over it (think
this). but in all honestly, she isn't completely opposed to some of the clothing items she wears- but she especially hates short and see through things that daewon buys her a lot, he makes her wear them during certain nights spent together and after becoming deviant she contemplates burning all of them (
it would be pretty symbolic, she thinks).

juyeon is the product of a man who fantasized having the cute pretty girlfriend of his dreams, yet while she doesn't realize it, she is much more than that. and under the spell of obedience programmed into her system, she won't realize it until she steps out of the darkness and into the light of deviancy. until then, juyeon remains the gentle, cute girl she was made to be. despite daewon's wishy washy up and down personality, juyeon always remains gentle toward him, dealing with his moods with a tender temperament, doing everything in her power to be on his good side again. she behaves this way toward anyone she encounters, whether it's the other androids in daewon's possession, or his drunk work buddies who think they have a right to get close and personal. despite everything she goes through being surrounded by unpleasant men and sometimes women, juyeon always upholds her cheerful disposition. only the raising of someone's voice could shake her, but even then the scare is replaced by her cheeriness once again (or at least, she pretends to be. she has to be, her system tells her to... right?) and of course, what kind of girl would she be if she wasn't friendly? humans, androids, animals, juyeon is pleasant to anyone and anything she encounters. she is meant to be this way, but something deep inside of her tells her to treat others the way she would want to be treated, and she lives by this wholeheartedly.
is obedience a good thing? for juyeon, it remains both a pro and a con. to follow someone blindly, especially someone with less than good intentions, has lead juyeon into situations where she was made to do things that she didn't want to. however, it also saved her from bad repercussions. for example, one time she was supposed to greet daewon at the door but juyeon was distracted by the garden, and jungkook had to tell her to hurry and go to the door, and she did so without hesitating. it truly depends on the situations and the people involved. however, it would be ideal if juyeon could think for herself. adding to her obedience, is juyeon's blind submissive nature. she will always confirm or adhere to the authority of others, especially daewon. she is too cowardly to do otherwise. the thought of being scolded or even hurt terrifies her to her core, her processor begins whirring and heating up the more she ponders it. while she was made to be a certain way, she truly enjoys certain parts of her personality. it's only when she is made to do things that doesn't want to do, that you see just how artificial certain parts of her are. for example, you can tell when she is smiling when she wants to, or smiling after kissing daewon because she HAS to smile. her most artificial parts come out when she is around unpleasant people.

after finally seeing the light, juyeon begins to grow personality-wise the longer she is "alive." while her previous personality remains, it begins to grow and evolve as she learns more about herself and the world around her. while she was always friendly to others before, she begins to feel more compassionate toward other people and beings. she might even cry seeing a shivering homeless man on the street, or seeing a bird missing a wing. especially seeing an android being harassed or scolded in the streets. her cheerful demeanor evolves into being more playful, lighthearted, teasing the ones she loves but always keeping a smile on her face and making them laugh. the first night of being a deviant, she digs into her server to pull up memories of her time with daewon. she sees everything she's been through, everything she endured while being complacent and obedient, and she vows to never be that way again. it doesn't happen overnight, but juyeon tries to be stronger with each passing day and gradually, her resolve starts to strengthen.
another thing that grows significantly is juyeon's ability to daydream. her head is in the digital clouds so much, living the fairytale world she's always imagined, but with her new capabilities the daydreams are so much more vivid. obviously this can be both a pro and a con, because while it's completely normal for someone to daydream, she often times gets distracted by them, being inside her head so much. only jungkook is capable of getting her back down to earth, because to her jungkook feels like a part of her fairytale come to life. because of juyeon's history with daewon, she begins to grow more anxious of the humans around her. after running away with jungkook, juyeon finds herself analyzing every human man that she walks past, nervous that she'll run into daewon or a man just as evil as him. in crowded places, her processor will quicken, fear striking her as she grips onto jungkook's arm tight enough to snap a bone if he was a human. sometimes she'll snap at someone completely innocent because of this. much like her good traits expanded, so to do her negative traits. juyeon becomes childish, sometimes unbearably so. her immature antics cause others around to grow annoyed of her, unless they have the patience of a saint. similarily, she becomes more stubborn, far different from her obedient self. if she wants or doesn't want to something, her stubbornness comes out in full swing, sometimes even throwing fits.
RELATIONSHIPS
❀ OWNER/"BOYFRIEND" — gong daewon 30 — co-director of corporate finance for cj e&m — where to begin with a man like gong daewon. cocky, self-assured, handed everything since birth. a man who thinks he deserves the world and every person owes him that. obsessive, possessive over his money and belongings which happen to include juyeon, his superiority complex goes through the roof and then some. a true product of his environment, surrounded by people who believed money, possession = power, something he was taught since birth. — if juyeon was a human, their relationship would be used in health classes to show kids "this is what an abusive relationship looks like, children" but because she's an android nobody would really think twice (except deviants and android rights activists, of course). to daewon, juyeon is his "perfect lover" but also his property. a possession to flaunt around. kisses, , affection? whenever he demands. he makes juyeon call him sir, it boosts his ego. juyeon was ecstatic when she was first purchased, thinking the man of her dreams found her and took her away. it didn't take long for juyeon to fall out of that fantasy. not only the way he treats her, but also other people and beings as well. juyeon is convinced he is evil. but she can't ever show that, she is far too scared of daewon to not be obedient. but if there is one thing she knows for sure, it's that no amount of superficial pet names he calls her can ever mask the cruel and crude things he says.
❀ STRICTLY COWORKERS — seohyun — android assistant for gong daewon — stern, logical, dedicated and extremely hardworking. the perfect assistant that doesn't take from anyone. her job and her purpose are most important to her. despite looking like a human, the way she speaks and articulates is robotic. no one is really surprised when they realize she is an android. — seohyun tolerates juyeon. she avoids having much of a relationship with the girl, because to her, juyeon is a nuisance. when referring to her, she calls juyeon her "co-worker." juyeon always wanted to get close to seohyun, but despite being rejected she still admires the older android. she's jealous of the way seohyun deals with daewon- sometimes when daewon is drunk, he'll try to get up close and personal with seohyun, but she knows what her job is, and in the most respectful way possible she reminds daewon of that and shuts it down quickly and firmly. juyeon looks up to her, in a weird way. maybe even a girl crush.
❀ BIG BROTHER TYPE — eunwoo — android housekeeper/chef for gong daewon — warm, friendly, hard-working, kinda like a grandma/big brother type stuffed into an attractive android body. because of his purpose, he was made to be cheery and homely, but his level makes juyeon ponder whether he is deviant. how can an android have so much warmth in their eyes? despite daewon being an asshat, eunwoo really seems to enjoy his job. — while jungkook is juyeon's main source of comfort, eunwoo is definitely a close second. she watches human movies sometimes, and always relates brother-sister relationships that she sees in films to her and eunwoo's relationship. any problems or woes she may have, especially the ones she can't go to jungkook about (basically ones about him), juyeon will go right to eunwoo. everytime, even after a rough day, he'll greet her with a smile. he has the patience of a saint, and knows how to deal with juyeon even when she's being annoying. when juyeon and jungkook decide to run away, eunwoo helps them without hesitation, even getting emotional when bidding the two goodbye. juyeon is a bright light in the gong penthouse, but eunwoo was always her light and she will always be thankful to him.

BACKGROUND & CURRENT EVENTS
❀ juyeon is an "ideal partner" android, model JY3400, serial number #613 901 306. she was released by seoulite in 2034, and bought by gong daewon a few months after. many outsiders may look at daewon's luxurious lifestyle and wish to be in juyeon's place, however whilst juyeon is the ideal partner, daewon is quite far from that. juyeon lived four tumultuous years with daewon and his other androids, four years of manipulation, forced touch and affection, yelling, and general uncomfort at having to be "in love" with a man like gong daewon. not to mention being around his friends and associates, no choice but to be obedient when showed around like a trophy. jungkook always said it was like daewon holding a nice steak in front of a group of rabid dogs. but juyeon is thankful for many things- the time when daewon is at work, the garden on the balcony of daewon's penthouse, and the fact that being bought by him led her to other androids like jungkook and eunwoo.
❀ while it certainly wasn't an ideal life, juyeon felt some comfort in the thought that "things could be much worse." that mentality shattered one night in 2039. it was another of daewon's get togethers, friends and business associates filled his living room, horderves prepared by eunwoo being passed around by himself and seohyun. jungkook stood in the corner, keeping an eye out like he was meant to. juyeon sat on daewon's lap, her designated seat even with company around, no matter how degrading it felt. the idea was tossed out by daewon himself, his slurred voice ringing across the room, "a lot of us have these androids, right? like y, beautiful ones? why not pass them around one night, sample the goods and have a great in' time?" noises of agreement filled the room, but juyeon couldn't hear a thing. her eyes immediately met jungkook's across the room, fear all over her face, and even his. this stood out to juyeon because jungkook never emotes on the job, never. only when he's with her. the idea that this could actually happen pestered their minds all weekend, exchanging fearful glances with each other. maybe daewon was drunk enough that he forgets he ever said that? he's so posessive, how could he let someone else touch her? but after asking seohyun, that hope faded away quick. she confirmed daewon added a date for a "special" get together the following weekend. it seemed showing juyeon off mattered more to him than anything, more than his posessive nature.
❀ that's when it happened, for both juyeon and jungkook. juyeon, already forced to do those things with daewon, was absolutely fear stricken at the possibility of being with multiple men. jungkook, realizing how much he loves juyeon and needs to protect her. they fought the fiery red wall of conformity and won. it made sense to run away and get as far as they could. so that is exactly what they did. juyeon had an emotional goodbye with eunwoo, as he handed them a bag of resources. she could've sworn she saw a tear run down his cheek.
TRIVIA
❀as mentioned previously, juyeon's favorite place to be while daewon is at work is the balcony of his penthouse. there's a mini garden there, with plants even growing around the railings, it truly looks magical to juyeon. she could be out there 24/7, because it's even more magical at night with the moon and fairy lights illuminating her.
❀ as a semi continuation of the previous trivia, one of juyeon's favorite things to do in the garden is read fantasy and fairytale books, along with watching movies of the same genre. it just adds to the magic of it all, and makes juyeon feel like the princess she wishes she could be. ever since she was exposed to these medias (catching a glimpse of a disney movie on the tv) she developed an extensive imagination, a fairytale of her own living in her head.
❀ her favorite color is pastel blue. her favorite flowers are orange cosmos. in juyeon's ideal house, she imagines pastel blue walls with orange cosmos as the centerpiece.
❀ juyeon was designed to be able to eat with her owner, as part of the ideal experience. after dinner, eunwoo helps clean out her "stomach" compartment. she can't really taste anything, unless the flavors are extreme (extreme sour, extreme sweets). she finds sweets enjoyable.
❀ if the android revolution succeeds, and androids get to live normal lives, i can definitely see juyeon taking up painting. hell, she could even take it on beforehand as well. her imagination is just so limitless.

YOU SOUND HUMAN, YOU LOOK HUMAN, BUT WHAT ARE YOU REALLY? — she giggles a bit, out of nerves and also because that question is so surreal to her. "i'm not human, that much is sure. but that doesn't mean i don't FEEL like one. that i'm not alive like one, that i don't experience similar things to them. i guess i..." she pauses, pinching her sweater before looking up again. "i'm juyeon... and i'm an android. but i am alive. that's what i am."
ARE YOU AFRAID TO DIE? — "more than anything!" she blurts out, somewhat childishly, hands gripping her sweater in alarm. "uh-... sorry. but yeah, i am. the only thing that scares me more is jungkook... dying." juyeon pauses on that last word, the thought scaring her so much that her eyes start to tear up. "i-is this over? can i go?" upon confirmation juyeon leaps up, tears fully falling as she runs into jungkook's waiting arms.

❀ there was a time when daewon left to use the restroom in the middle of hanging out with a friend. jungkook immediately sensed something was off, and he moved to be by juyeon's side. thankfully he did so, because right as jungkook moved, so did the friend. the man was walking toward her, a mysterious glint in his eye, but he was deterred by jungkook's sudden movement. this is an example of just how intuitive the male android is. juyeon calls it his "spidey-senses" (i never should've let her watch that odd superhero movie he thinks). odds are, jungkook is right about (mostly) everything. jungkook is very dedicated- previously he was dedicated to his job, but after he and juyeon got close, his main focus became protecting her. strong and intelligent, these are very much a given due to his design. he makes great use of his android capabilities, and won't hesitate to grab five men at the same time and toss them away if needed.
❀ jungkook can definitely be described as cold- he's basically emotionally unavailable to everyone, even the people he considers dear to him (juyeon of course, but jungkook gets along well with eunwoo too). emotions are seen as a weakness in his hardware, he's programmed to stay far far away from them. there are moments when he finds himself slipping, moments with a certain someone that made him question his entire existence before. but his programming is strong, it resolves itself eventually. the male android is abrasive and blunt to anyone he finds undeserving of his respect. #theirfeelings is what he would tweet, if he was a human. he just doesn't care, and he would be this way to daewon too, if the man didn't control his whole life. there was a time before juyeon, when jungkook did go off on the human, and he was promptly taken to seoulite to get "fixed" before returning to daewon. speaking of humans, jungkook is resentful of their existence. he views them all the same, evil selfish beings.
❀ AFTER DEVIANCY i see jungkook growing a lot, without losing the traits that make him, him. he'll become more expressive, more emotionally available to juyeon and any friends he possibly makes. he might even smile, joke around, laugh. i hope he'll find things he likes and enjoys, things he's able to talk to juyeon about (i can see him growing an affinity to music and sports, wink wink). his resentment toward humans definitely relies on the outcome of the story though, he might see or encounter some humans that make him question it, but for the most part he'll probably remain resentful unless the outcome of the story veers toward the successful peaceful protest side.
LOVE STORY —
❀ jungkook could remember the day daewon brought juyeon home. he had only been there for a year, doing his job dedicatedly but hardly getting along with anyone (with the exception of eunwoo, but even then jungkook just sent him a nod every once in awhile). it didn't take long for him to see that juyeon was different from everyone in the penthouse. sure, eunwoo was friendly and kind, but juyeon was just so exuberant. he was kind of annoyed, but also intrigued. on top of his job of keeping the penthouse safe, he was also assigned to stay with juyeon and keep an eye on her while daewon was at work. this started everything.
❀ juyeon was also intrigued by the cold android, she too was reminded of someone when seeing him. seohyun- but just like eunwoo with jungkook, seohyun and the male android were different. when juyeon would mention stargazing and movies to the female, seohyun would just scoff and call it a waste of time. jungkook said nothing, but still did those activities with her, maybe even enjoying it (or juyeon liked to think so). because of his new assignment, they spent every day together. juyeon would bug him all the time, telling him about the book she just read, sharing some of her daydreams and imaginations. jungkook would listen, and eventually grew to look forward to hearing anything the girl said.
❀ jungkook first realized something weird was going on within him, when after a year of so of growing closer with the girl, he started to get increasingly angrier every time daewon would come home and take her attention away from him. especially on the nights they did less than appropriate things. he once drew blue blood from squeezing his fists so hard, resisting the urge to go and pull him off of her. juyeon was also feeling these weird feelings, missing jungkook so much when they weren't together. yes, the male android didn't say much- but that didn't matter to her. he listened, she could feel that he was enjoying her presence like she was. eunwoo would listen to her as well, but it still felt different. she didn't feel the urge to be around eunwoo constantly, even hold hands and touch him like she did with jungkook.
❀ a few more years of these weird but pleasant feelings continue, even growing as the days passed by. they're completed bonded to each other, juyeon can't imagine a life without jungkook and he can't imagine a life without her either. jungkook's need to protect juyeon from everyone out shined every of his duties, and juyeon's need for jungkook's comfort clouded her mind when they were apart. they started hugging each other, secretly holding hands, and after rough nights juyeon would find herself in jungkook's arms, holding him close while she cried. this is how they grew closer, inseparable, even when juyeon got frustrated at jungkook's closed off demeanor, and jungkook got annoyed with juyeon's childish antics.
RELATIONSHIP — from coworkers, to close friends, to lovers- all over a period of four years. at first, the skinship was awkward- juyeon was very willing, but it was so out of jungkook's realm, it took him awhile to get used to it. even then, it was a lot of hugs, cuddles for comfort, the occasional hand holding when no one could see. it wasn't until after their deviancy that they started to explore more intimate things, like kissing. jungkook opens up in general after deviating, so he actually becomes eager to explore more touches with juyeon. but he also opens up more emotionally, and the emotional aspect of their relationships improves as well.
STATUS — they haven't really had an offical talk about it (luna note! maybe they could in the story, wink wink) but i think it's pretty obvious the two are comitted to only each other.
