— She's not an angry person nor is she mad, it just seems like she is because shes honestly blunt and doesnt filter her word. She may be one of the calmest people ever because she trys to not let things affect her. And yes she has a scence of humor, she may not be cracking jokes left and right but she'll laugh at the jokes she finds funny or relates to. Yes she is fiesty and will fight back when attacked (Verbally because words are just as strong as actions at times). She's always been one to put her responsiblitlies first, often lacking time to do things she really wants to do (Hobbies), but because she's responsible she's someone that anyone can go to for help, even if they don't like her, making sure that she treats everyone on an equal level. She's become resourceful and adaptable during her transition to Korea as well as her tiraining at SM. She'll make sure that she has plenty of knowledge. It could be how big the stage is, how bright will the lights be, when is the sound chek, all the way down to when someones birthday is, making her very knowledable. She also is able to deal with the pressure and adapt, like if someone's hurt she doesn't panic. Ryan is a very passionate person. when she loves something she put her all into it, that's why her dances, raps, vocals, and even her compositions are so powerful. She's working hard to make sure that everytime she makes it on the stage, she'll never have any regrets, the same for anything else she dedicates herself to. To anyone that says she doesn't have a heart, you don't know her because underneath this girl cares. If she didn't she wouldnt sit and listen to the worries of others, but  because she's not as approchable looking (Tough looking exterior ) people misjudge her.

— Ryan was born in Naygoa ,Japan in 1998. About a year after her birth her family moved to Seattle,Washington due to her father being laid off from his job in the automotive industry. Her father's family moved to Seatlle quite a few years earlier and it was the best decision at the time to join them. Her father opened up his own shop and they made a decent living from the shops income. 

 

At the age of 5, Ryan started to wonder about Japanese culture. This is actually how she discovered her love for music. While hanging out with her cousin one day she was introduced her future ultimate idol, BoA. For Ryan it didnt matter that she was Korean singing Japanese, she just fell in love with the art. By the age of 6, Ryan had finally gotten her father to enroll her into dance classes. 

 

Ryan never did bad in school, but she was'nt one of the students with high rankings, but at the age of 11 she was okay with that because she knew her passions lied in music. Around this time she started getting bullied about her grades, her race ,and lack of mother figure. At the same time,Ryan subbmitted her first audition to SM, covering BoA's 'Sweet Impact' both vocally and dance wise.She was not asked for a second audition, but this showed Ryan's father that she was serious about music and removed her from school after the  school year had finished and she started homeschooling. 

 

At the age of 13, Ryan's world would change forever after her father found love again with a young lady named Seo Yerin. The two hit it off and after 6 months of long distance, Ryan's father would uproot them once again and move to Seoul. This time the uprooting would be welcomed by Ryan. She would now be closer to seeing idols shed grown to love, as well as being able to audition for SM in person. This change also gave her two older sisters, Seo Yuna (AOA) and Seo Yuri (Berry Good). 

 

Shortly after her 14th birthday, Ryan created an Instagram and Youtube chanel to post her covers too. At this time Ryan began experimenting with composing and rapping. In Febuary of 2013, Ryan auditioned again for SM during their Seoul auditions and was rejected once again. In the fall of 2013, Ryan would begin public school. It seemed as though it would be a bad decision because she wasnt being sent to SOPA with Yuri, but it was better for Ryan to focus on feeling more natural with speaking Korean than anything else. In December of 2013, Ryan's father would finally tie the knot with Seo Yerin, making them one big happy family. 

 

Ryan was a well know name on Instagram for her covers, but more so of her amazingly asthetic BoA covers, making her wonder what she was still lacking to be accepted into SM. Ryan joined Unpretty Rapstar Season 3 to see if she was even cut out for the competitive world and turned out she loved music even more afterwards and it even toughened her up alittle more to handle what others say about her. 

 

In November of 2016,Ryan's father passed away from cancer.This was a devestating time for her as Yuna and Yuri were busiy with their own idol lives, Ryan felt competely and uterly alone.Music saved Ryan from entering a dark space of no return. Turning more so to writing than anything else.

 

In 2017, Ryan was contacted by SM after her Instagram followers made Ryan trend with them wanting Ryan and BoA to meet. They offered her the chance to be a dancer for BoA's Nega Dola promtions. When promotions ended, BoA and Ryan actually posted a picture of them on their and Insta's as well as SM's offical for fans. This got all 3 alot of good publicity. 

 

In July of 2018, Ryan finally signed to SM and was added to Fantasy for debut.

stage name Reign, In the beginning SM decided to use her english name because it was easier for fans to pronounce, basically ignoring that she is part Japanese and putting more emphasis on her being American, but Ryan didnt like that and decide on using Reign with Rei from Reiko so that the Japanese aspect was incorperated.

— After signing to SM in July of 2018, Ryan went full speed ahead with preparing for debut putting her writting/compossing on hold and also going on hiatus from her Instagram page. Being signed to SM was held completely confidential, so much so that fans anticipating the girls debut wouldn't know of her being in the group until the offical music video release. It didnt come as a shock to Ryan because, Seulgi, was also a hidden member of Red Velvet. Being  good sunbaes, Ryan naturally met and became friend with Baekhyun and Chanyeol. These two along with her members made her transitioning time alot easeir because she really didnt have that much time at all before debut.

— She's like a mix of CL, Jessi, and Hyuna as an idol. She really doesnt care about how the public recieves her but she doesnt want to cause any major problems for her members. This gves her a love hate fandship relationship because you could say she doesn't fit the norms of an SM idol or Korean standards. It would seem that SM likes her for the good publicity that they can get from having her signed. When they get into trouble thats when they'll release her music or give her more of an active schedule. She's a sweet heart, she's fiesty, she's energtic, she's calm. She doesn't change herself just because of a camera being there. She's very expressive of her feelings social media and in person even though it's sometimes looked down upon.

Doesn't seem like she was wanted in the group because she doesnt stand out when the group is all together (Kind of like the ugly duckling thing) but ofcourse she doesnt care she is who she is

— LOVE X : After being spotted together leaving Starship, rumors circualte that they are dating. SM and Starship denies these rumors because at the time they arent dating. Surprisingly after the rumor being denied, some fans are actually sad and ship them together. The other fans actually become mad that she was shipped with a Korean male when she's Japanese American and they feel she should be with some either Japanese or American. ( Pocahontas with some not of her race )

— ITS JUST A FEW POUNDS : Talk about her weight gain. Is it stress? Is it wanted? Is she now fat? Does her being part American factor in. This talk with probably follow her for the remained of her career. Who knows if she'll actually speak on it or not. SM is known for not having idols speak on certain things.

— YOUR ONLY ACE : Hoseok calls Ryan Ace when he wants too talk about her without revealing that hes dating Ryan but he was confirmed to be dating someone. Ryan ended up uploading a video of her singing Taemin's ' Ace' on insta and Monsta X offical liked the post. Fans put the puzzle together and because they did SM and Starship had no choice but to confirm it. (Happens in a different year than the LOVE X headline)
