Breathe! It's scary going to a bigger school but you got this! You're gonna meet a whole bunch of new people to be friends with, be kind, and don't be afraid to talk to them! And NEVER be anything LESS than YOURSELF
be true to you, and the right people for yo in your life will flock to it, you'll finish your first week and be 'wow, I over stressed about that'
You got this!

I'll just enumerate it for you.
1. Just be yourself
2. Be friendly
3. Be humble
4. Just relax (Jackson's line)
5. Don't stress yourself
6. If you're nervous, try not to show it.
7. Be confident when speaking infront and introducing your name.
8. If someone tries to pick on you, don't let them.

I'm a senior this year, so I've definitely been through that whole "high school sounds and looks scary and I just don't wanna go" phase. But just as everyone below me said, it really isn't all that bad! Just make sure to try and get there early so you can walk around and find where all of your classes are. Don't stress too much about all the older students either, I know that in movies and books they say that all these older students are going to be judging you and making fun of you because you're "fresh meat", but in all honesty nobody really minds the new freshman. Most will happily help you to your classes and all that, and will most likely just ignore you and the other freshman in favor of paying attention to their own grades. ALSO, just like in every other school, don't touch under the desks, because believe it or not, the amount of gum under there only increases in high school *-* ALSO ALSO try to stay close to the people that you know in case you are too nervous to ask other people about classroom numbers and teachers >.< I for one was a nervous wreck my first week of high school, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I had thought it was going to be!! You'll be alright ^-^

Don't stress about it!! It's not as scary as you think. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you don't know where your classes are, your teachers will be understanding if you're late. Bring snacks for in between classes, and make sure you have a few working pens and pencils and a highlighter; that's what I use the most but it depends on how you want to keep your notes organized. Teachers will tell you what you need (usually a binder, paper, pen, pencil, a highlighter if you want it) and often provide things like protractors and calculators and such. Make sure you have some money on you for the caf, and if your school is selling anything like freezies at lunch for fundraisers. Don't worry about the people, they're just as worried and nervous as you and you'll find friends quick! Join things like clubs and sports if you want - go out in grade nine and have as much time as you can get, and son't wait until you're a sophomore or graduating for things like that. Take opportunities that are given to you!! and have fun!! it's not always about the grades <3

For the first day, make sure you know where your classes are and the general layout of the school!

I’m also going to start high school in a week! Since we’re going to be exposed to so many new experiences I guess, it would be best to be open to them and open up ourselves to them (if that makes sense). We should stay positive and not discourage ourselves. Of course new situations can be stressful so not only are we nervous, but other people as well. Do you know anyone from middle school coming to the same high school? If so, then you should stick with them I guess since familiar faces can ease our nervousness (I guess idk I’m not a professional at this). I don’t really have any classmates from my middle school going to my high school that I’m close to, more like acquaintances. Okay, I think that’s all (not going to lie, I looked a few of these up), hope it helped! <3
