Unpopular KPop Opinions

Now before you start attacking me--

Sike. There will be no spewing of opinions in confidence that I wouldn't be bit back.

I've just really wanted to get this off my chest but my lack of vocabulary when I try to rant out verbally is keeping me shut and wondering what the hell was I trying to argue in the first place. Now on to the topic:  Unpopular KPop Opinions.

At the start of this, it was all about opinions people were to scared to be bashed of for being unlike the expected. It's like the hippies were finally given the chance to spread word and not have to be afraid cause of them being considered counter-culture.

Unpopular Opinions at a literal definition, are works wherein the writer/speaker voices out their true feelings despite it not being the 'popular' opinion, as mentioned previously, the 'expected'. At the start of these works, many tend to point things out at an objective view, may it be a non-fan evaluating idol A's performance, or a fan accepting that not all the members of their bias group will have an equal line distribution. A lot of these opinions actually genuinely help people open up to different ideas and their plausibility.

Now, at the start, these videos actually did make me consider out of my beliefs, and they throw in some sarcastic remarks which are a definite reel in. However, these videos, because of they way it was presented, were not made to spew hateful speech and whatnot. Like I said, a lot of them put things at an objective sense.

But oops, as I continued binging on these videos this initial thought of Kpop unpopular opinions started to fade. Pretty fast even.

Now I cautiously open up a video only to frown as I see the content.

We start with the popular disclaimer: This is my opinion, so don't attack me for it

It's fine so far hmm hmmm---

Idol B is tbh honestly why is Idol B like this idk does Idol B deserve to be in Idol Group

Wow.

I have seen so many videos that end up giving hateful remarks about a person as if the person isn't well, a person.

It's like how constructive criticism is different from mockery/hate. It hurts to see people shield themselves from 'being attacked' under the weak protection of the word 'opinion'. Heck there was a video wherein the person practically says that this idol is useless to their group; like, tF????

And referring to the previous example, I want to point out the 'opinion shield' that a lot of these videos abused. This goes back to a bigger argument about free speech overall. So many people abuse the 'freedom to speech' in order to spread hatred to people, groups, etc they don't like. For example, people who don't like a person would comment that they 'wish death' upon that person. Are they exercising their freedom of speech? Technically, yes. Is it still right? Of course not.

We have the freedom of speech tied with something else we should consider; our morals. Think of it at a smaller scale: school bullying. Actually, bullying general- it's basically what some videos practice with their unpopular opinions. I just wish they would think about it before saying this kind of opinion - is it genuinely helpful? Could people/subject learn and improve with this? Am I being too toxic?

Cause I'm sure as hell there's a difference between:

I believe Idol C is not showing full potential, especially because of how Idol C is only portrayed as (this role) in the group. (But it's just my opinion)

and

Idol's C's presence honestly hurts my eyes honestly. Idol C reminds me of those conventional s who want nothing but the money (But it's just my opinon)

We can't forget how powerful words can be held against other people--- Take Wendy's weightloss journey for example. There is a difference between encouraging a person to saty healthy and fat-shaming/thin-shaming (is that even a word?) the person.

tldr: some kpop unpopular opinions videos spread more hate than insight.

Well idk if my argument made sense but my chest feels lighter so share your opinions (keep some morals pls thx) and thanks for reading this sht ton.

P.S. fk it imma share an unpopular (more like just not as discussed) op: stardom ent rushed making a boygroup for money/needed to keep their trainees from leaving, ended up w topp dogg (but that's just a theory, a k theory-)
