APPEARANCE : daseul has naturally black hair, but likes to dye it a dark to light brown. she thinks she looks the best with dark/light brown hair, but that of course is just her personal preference. she has a few beauty marks on her face and wears them proudly. she has normal skin, but during the winter her skin gets unusually dry. it’s during these months that you’ll find her with a sheet mask on her face every other day. makeup wise daseul will most likely be wearing a little makeup on any given day. her “makeup” is very natural looking as she sticks with bb creams, fills in her eyebrows lightly, puts on a little eyeliner and mascara, a natural looking lip color and occasionally puts on highlighter. besides her light makeup, the only time she will go full out Instagram looking makeup is when she has to attend an important event.

by the way that daseul speaks and gives advice, it is sometimes difficult to believe that she is a mere 19-year-old. she's wise beyond her years and is good at decoding and solving high tension situations between others. she never fails at pointing things out that people usually wouldn't notice or consider in situations. she's very good at expressing herself and has no problem speaking in front of a large crowd. she's great at giving others advice and is great at helping others solve their problems, but when it comes to her own issues she doesn't even know where to start. in short, she's a coward with her personal issues. she hates confrontations and will never confront you about things you're doing that bother her. if she feels a confrontation coming with someone close, she'll try her best to avoid it all costs, whether that be her ignoring the person or making excuses to not meet up.

PICTURE PERFECT?
daseul is the second and middle child to bae hyunwook, ceo of walkerhill hotels, and kim jineul, a once chef. her mother had quit working as a chef to help her father run walkerhill hotels. her parents had wanted her to be a son, as they had hoped to have a daughter and son, but things never work out according to plan. her father being much more traditional wanted a son to inherit walkerhill hotels. for the meantime, daseul would suffice, but plans for another baby were already being thought about by her father.
two years after daseul was born, her father’s wish for a son finally came true as her brother, sungcheol, was born. daseul enjoyed having a younger brother because she was able to boss them around like her older sister, iseul, would do sometimes. daseul also had a playmate that actually wanted to play with her often. daseul and her older sister were quite close as kids. her older sister took great care of her being that she was five years older than daseul. iseul was daseul's second mother, the one she often went to whenever she needed help because her mother was usually busy helping out with the hotels and all the affiliated businesses they owned. the three siblings were fairly close during their elementary days, but hit a rough patch when daseul entered middle school because iseul no longer wanted to have to look after daseul and sungcheol. the rough patch would continue until iseul entered college, but then it was too late to try and make amends.
being a middle child and another daughter instead of a son, daseul felt like she was often thrown aside. her older sister was significantly older and was the first born, so she was always “paving” the way and doing new things, thus earning her parent’s attention. sungcheol on the other end was the youngest and a son, so he already was getting a lot of attention. as for her, daseul was simply following her sister’s footsteps without doing much different. she didn’t know how to gain her parent’s attention without either being hurt or being bad. she knew she could not forcibly be either and being bad, was a bad thing because she would be punished, so she just watched. she’d be in the background watching as her parents focused on the eldest and youngest. she credits these moments where she watched things happen from afar as a reason that she’s able to give such good advice. from observing, she was able to learn how to express herself and her needs and wants for attention without causing a scene. she also blames these moments as the root of her obsessive and envious nature. she was obsessed with trying to gain her parents attention and was envious when she didn’t get it.
being the child of parents who operated hotels, daseul has a fair share of travel and hotel experience. her father believed heavily in checking out the competition and wanted the honest opinions of children and their experiences because he wanted to create hotels that would give everyone a great experience, the young and elderly included. the most common places she would travel to included china, japan and australia. it was during these travels that she fell in love with different languages. she found it amazing that a single person could speak more than one language, let alone more than two. as daseul grew older, her travels continued though less often than when she was younger.
daseul was pushed into attending seoul national university. it was either seoul national university or sungkkyunkwan university and she preferred seoul national university. her older sister attended sungkyunkwan university and it was the last place daseul wanted to go.
going into college daseul set a goal for herself. daseul's goal is to find a true self. she's not unhappy with her major, international business, but she chose it mainly because she knows that's what her parents would want her to do (not international business in particular, but any major in business). she added on advertising because at the time it sounded cool, but she is also unsure if that is for her. given that her older sister has already inherited a small part of the company and that her younger brother is the next heir to the company, daseul's worries on where she'll fit in. she also worries that maybe joining in on the family business isn't for her.
hearing that someone was looking for roommates for a dorm, daseul decided to join. she heard that inha was looking for roommates by her best friend yeri. she wants to be away from home and doesn't want to live by herself. her parents don't mind, but would prefer she live alone with her parent's friends kids, but daseul insists they let her live where she wants (the first time daseul has stood up for what she wants in life). plus, maybe she can get some advice from those in the dorm on how they went about deciding what to pursue in college.

❋ traveling ; she travels at least once a month usually for her father, but sometimes it's just because she wants to. how far she travels depends on what's happening during school, but usually she's either traveling within south korea or is going to japan or china.
❋ flowers ; her favorite changes between sunflowers and daffodils
❋ coffee ; she prefers her coffee black or with a dash of cream

DISLIKES
❋ shopping ; she doesn't find joy in shopping which surprises many people because of her wealth. the rare occasions where she does enjoy shopping are when she's on a mission to buy someone a gift or she's on a mission to hunt down her latest obsession.
❋ peanuts ; she's not allergic, she simply doesn't enjoy the taste of it.
❋ being left out ; she wants to be in the loop and wants to feel like she belongs.
❋ fruit flies ; she can deal with flies because they're easy to kill, but fruit flies are an annoyance because they're so freaking tiny.
❋ spicy foods ; she can not handle her spice. she has tried over and over again to try and build a spice tolerance, but she fails every single time.
❋ floral perfume ; she heavily dislikes floral perfumes because they're almost always way too strong. plus, nothing smells better than an actual flower.
❋ sleeping with socks on ; she doesn't know what the appeal of sleeping with socks on is. it makes her feet feel stuffy and extra hot.
HABITS
❋ doodling ; when daseul spaces out in class she is probably doodling in her notebook or on her hw. if you were to flip through her school work every page will most likely have a doodle or some on them.
❋ clenching fists ; if daseul is feeling envious she clenches her fists together. sometimes so tight she can draw blood, but most of the time it's only finger nail marks.
❋ biting lip ; when daseul is contemplating something and or deep in thought, she bites well more like chews on her lower lip.
❋ clearing & fake sniffling ; whenever she's feeling sad or is on the verge of crying and doesn't want her tears/emotions to come out, she'll clear (more than is normal) and will sometimes fake a sniffle here and there. it is odd, but it helps her to divert her attention else where.
❋ whining ; daseul only whines with people she's close to. her whining is more of her way to trying to annoy someone and/or is her way to trying to obtain something.
❋ daydreaming/spacing out ; when she's bored she daydreams. it doesn't even have to be in class, she can literally be watching a movie and then suddenly if her interest is lost, she's off in her own world.
HOBBIES
❋ traveling ; she loves traveling. if she can't leave the country, she'll take a train somewhere else in south korea and explore there for a day or two.
❋ community service ; she does quite a lot of community service, but it is not well known because she doesn't feel a need to share or flaunt that she does it. volunteering should come from the heart without needing praise, thus whenever she's doing community service, she keeps it on the down low.
❋ getting out into nature ; camping, hiking, surfing etc. it's like traveling, but more nature focused. she loves nature as much as she loves the cities.
❋ watching animated movies ; daseul loves her animated movies and can binge watch a handful of them in one go. if she's not out of the house traveling or exploring, she's locked up in her room, cuddled up in bed with snacks watching movies.
❋ planning/journaling ; given her love for planners and notebooks, she does dedicate a portion of her day to planning and decorating her planner and or journals.
FEARS
❋ being forgotten ; as a child daseul was often times forgotten at hotels by her parents. they'd always come back, but she was always the one left behind because they seemingly "forgot" they were traveling with three kids and not two. it hasn't happened a whole lot as she got older, but it has left am imprint on her.
❋ being abandoned ; this fear is similar to her fear of being forgotten. over the years, many of her "friends" have dropped her from their lives and most times it's out of the blue without an explanation.
❋ being a disappointment ; her parents approval and love is all that daseul wants or at this point in her life wanted. everything she has achieved thus far has been to make her parents proud of her. she doesn't want to disappoint them or others in her life.
❋ late night cab drivers ; she refuses to take a cab by herself late a night. she had one bad experience in china where the cab driver kept circling her destination without dropping her off. she fears that she may one day be kidnaped by a cab driver if she's alone.
❋ aliens ; the universe is too big for only humans to exist. daseul truly believes that aliens are out there and she does not want to joke about them or mess with them. she doesn't want to be abducted by them or the government.
❋ centipedes ; probably the only insect that daseul is very very scared of. the many legs just give her the chills and if she sees one, she's running while screaming her head off.

❋ peanuts ; she's not allergic, she simply doesn't enjoy the taste of it.

❋ fruit flies ; she can deal with flies because they're easy to kill, but fruit flies are an annoyance because they're so freaking tiny.

HABITS
❋ doodling ; when daseul spaces out in class she is probably doodling in her notebook or on her hw. if you were to flip through her school work every page will most likely have a doodle or some on them.
❋ clenching fists ; if daseul is feeling envious she clenches her fists together. sometimes so tight she can draw blood, but most of the time it's only finger nail marks.
❋ biting lip ; when daseul is contemplating something and or deep in thought, she bites well more like chews on her lower lip.
❋ clearing & fake sniffling ; whenever she's feeling sad or is on the verge of crying and doesn't want her tears/emotions to come out, she'll clear (more than is normal) and will sometimes fake a sniffle here and there. it is odd, but it helps her to divert her attention else where.

HOBBIES
❋ traveling ; she loves traveling. if she can't leave the country, she'll take a train somewhere else in south korea and explore there for a day or two.
❋ community service ; she does quite a lot of community service, but it is not well known because she doesn't feel a need to share or flaunt that she does it. volunteering should come from the heart without needing praise, thus whenever she's doing community service, she keeps it on the down low.
❋ getting out into nature ; camping, hiking, surfing etc. it's like traveling, but more nature focused. she loves nature as much as she loves the cities.
❋ watching animated movies ; daseul loves her animated movies and can binge watch a handful of them in one go. if she's not out of the house traveling or exploring, she's locked up in her room, cuddled up in bed with snacks watching movies.

FEARS
❋ being forgotten ; as a child daseul was often times forgotten at hotels by her parents. they'd always come back, but she was always the one left behind because they seemingly "forgot" they were traveling with three kids and not two. it hasn't happened a whole lot as she got older, but it has left am imprint on her.
❋ being abandoned ; this fear is similar to her fear of being forgotten. over the years, many of her "friends" have dropped her from their lives and most times it's out of the blue without an explanation.
❋ being a disappointment ; her parents approval and love is all that daseul wants or at this point in her life wanted. everything she has achieved thus far has been to make her parents proud of her. she doesn't want to disappoint them or others in her life.

ADVENTURES IN THE DORM
ROLE : being the youngest, or one of the youngest, daseul falls into the role of the baby of the dorm. she is teased for her cry baby nature and teased about other things as well. she is often asked to do what others don't want to do (eg. dishes or throwing out the trash etc.). she doesn't mind being told what to do because she just wants to be helpful. she is always asking if she can help and will always accept a task if given to her.
oddly enough, she is also someone that her other dormmates go to for advice. she too, doesn't mind giving her advice, but always warns them that she is not responsible for any of the outcomes if they decide to follow her advice.
she is also the nosiest member of the dorms. if one of her roomies is getting ready, daseul is only a step away and is already asking why they're getting ready, who they're going with, how long they'll be gone and so on. she wants to always know what's going on with the others and isn't afraid to blow up the group chat or their phone if someone doesn't return at the time they said they'd return.
LIFESTYLE : daseul is always around in the morning and evenings, but throughout the actual day she is rarely ever present. she is usually always out and about either on campus or in seoul somewhere, thus her lack of presence in the dorm throughout the day. often times she is the first one out of the dorms and the last one in because of her desire to be out of the dorm. she doesn't dislike the dorm, she just likes to be outside in nature or be out with friends.

❋ door left opened ; she doesn't mind when people come into her room when her door is closed. all she really wants is for you to close the door when you leave.
❋ no knocking ; she doesn't like it when people come into her room without knocking. she also sometimes leaves the bathroom door unlocked when she's in a hurry to use the toilet and it only makes sense to knock on the bathroom door before opening it, right?
