[Just Curious] What type of story are you looking for a read?

Hello! Hi! Good morning/afternoon/evening/night! How are you guys doing?

I've been gone for a long time, and I'd be lying if I say I didn't miss writing. I do write when idea struck, but it's always kept in a cave of doubt and pending, and this is total horse. :D

And I return for a moment to ask you guys 'What type of stories are you looking for a read?'

I know the cliches are still in even though some of you might disagree because come on! It's one of the guilty pleasure, no? :P

So, I want to know what are you guys into nowadays, or what do you guys still enjoy in a story? What are your dislikes and the things y'all want to change?

I still read anything that I see, not just Sci fi and Fantasy (though Read supernatural beings) I like stories that has a good character development not just flat ones; cause they are just so bland. I like something that's very relate-table, then massive plot twist that will blow my mind beyond explanation. One shot's for me is a touch and go, cause sometimes I feel that there could be a whole lot more, but then it got stuck on a single chapter set up. Or When there's a massive potential, I'll see a ONE SHOT it just saddens me. Full length is my go to. Sometimes I just browse every story that a specific author wrote, because I get familiar with the style and the technique, makes me feel comfortable.

I really love angst so much especially when it's written beautifully. Nothing beats angst for me. It's just so raw and full of emotions. Fantasy is also a genre I like but not sci-fi and not really the cliché fantasy ones. When I read fantasy, I want the author to surprise me. Vampires and wolves are common, why not other beings? I like it when the author gives the antagonist a deep story. I mean, I really think an antagonist should be well-picked and portrayed. I like a story which leaves you thinking not only because it's a cliffhanger but because it's message is deeper. I guess that sums it up.
