PERSONALITY: 

on most days, jangwon is known for being a very optimistic person. he sees the silver lining behind mishaps and he's brightness almost rivals junghee. with his optimism, he's able to go through life with a positive mindset. he's also loyal to  his friends. he's willing to get into trouble if it means to protect those he cares about - he won't abandon them. another trait that people find alluring about him is his honesty. he's not the type to sugarcoat his words and will be upfront about whatever the matter is about. he'll give you his honest opinion even if it means you won't like the answer that much. a courageous boy, it seems that nothing scares him. he's not afraid of making mistakes, being caught of getting in trouble - people are convinced he has zero fear.

there are a couple of downsides to him and one of it is his impatientness. life moves quickly so jangwon wants to experience so many things that he often gets rather cranky when things get slow. he's more of a do it now person than a plan first, then do it type of person. jangwon can also be a very bitter person. he carries out resentment and grudges against those who pick fights with him and even after they apologies, he finds it hard to forgive them. stubborn as a bull, that's what they call jangwon. once the boy makes his mind on something, almost no one can talk him out of it. it makes him one of the harder people to talk to when making decisions. people tend to avoid jangwon due to his aggressive nature. he gets angry easily and the first thing that comes to his mind is his fist.  

BACKGROUND: 
Jangwon grew up at the lower parts of hong kong, his parents struggling to make ends meet each month. he spent most of his time wandering around and goofing off with his friends, skipping most of his school days which frequently caused him to be called by the school discipline board. 

he didn't like school that much, thinking it was a waste of time and how suffocating it was to be stuck in a classroom for hours for 5 days a week while listening to boring teachers. he skipped school a lot, sometimes going missing for days with his gang and caused his parents to worry about his future. they didn't want to see jangwon grow up into someone who coudln't get a proper job to feed themselves. so, with the best interest at heart - they moved back to his father's hometown, tongyeong.

tongyeong was drastically different than hong kong - it was smaller, slower, quieter. he didn't like it very much at first. he may have left his little group back in hong kong but that didn't mean he changed. he was still getting trouble despite the move - still being the same troublemaker he was in hong kong.

school was still at the back of his mind as he went to exciting adventures on his own, still going missing for days and still being the same adventurous boy he was.

he met junghee when he was around 15 years old. he was in the middle of ditching another day of school when junghee caught him. instead of reporting him to the teachers like any other student, junghee asked if she could tag along. it was the first time anyone had actually wanted to be part of his little mischievous adventures. he forgot how it felt to have someone to enjoy his time with, being used to running off on his own. soon, junghee became on of the people that was the reason he would come to school - for whatever reason, his new found friend always managed to persuade him to come to school and he managed to add in more friends to their little group.

high school was interesting for jangwon. he attended most of his classes however he didn't do well in most of them. the only reason he went to school was so that his friends would stop pestering him to come. he had many sweet memories of sneaking out of school with the rest of the group - even those when they got caught and punished were still memories that he would look back at fondly. 

however, tongyeong was a place that was too boring for him. it was always one of the topics he would talk about - how the place wasn't big enough for his adventurous ways. he couldn't wait for graduation to come so he could finally be free from the town and his parents - be free to do whatever he wanted to do.

after he graduated, - surprisingly - jangwon went to seoul to see if he could find anything that suited him. he ended working odd jobs here and there which included bartending, fixing motorcycles and even managed to find work at a tattoo parlour for a while. he doesn't seem to be able to stick to one job, jumping from one job to another.

At first, Jangwon thought woorin was fun to tease considering how she was so timid and seemed to be afraid of everything. he was pretty rough to her upon first impression but he learned to take it down a notch after junghee talked to him. soon, he became close to woorin and started to look after her a lot. he brought her along to some of his 'adventures' and they grew pretty close to each other.

junghee was the first person to approach jangwon with warmth and a bright smile despite his reputation as a troublemaker. most of the students feared him but junghee reached out to him as a friend. when a fight broke out, junghee was the first person to defend him when she knew it wasn't his fault. junghee was the first person to look beyond his troublemaking ways and instead looked at him as someone who needed a friend.

raon and jangwon are both close due to their fascination with art. jangwon often shows raon his tattoo sketches and they talk about how they would look like on people. jangwon likes to fool around and by playing harmless pranks such as telling her she has paint on her face or clothes. 

  

Jackson wang  // close friend // bar owner

jangwon met jackson when jackson came in to get his motorcycle fixed. they bonded over their similar interest in tattoos, alcohol and motorcycles. it's a love-hate relationship between the two. jackson offered jangwon a place to stay while he was in seoul, only asking jangwon to help out at the bar on weekends as payment.
