Boyfriend

So, it looks like Starship has officially disbanded Boyfriend and it's a sad day. These boys are talented and deserved so much more than this. Starship never used their full talents or promoted them properly and it was really sad. I do agree that it wasn't a good idea for Boyfriend to renew, because they would still be ignored and treated like crap. I mean, after The Unit, Starship said they would give Boyfriend a comeback, but never did. They just left them to die in Japan, while concentrating on their other artists and giving THEM comebacks. It's so unfair and I hope these boys can find a way to stay in the industry, and possibly together as a group, if they want to and can find the means to support themselves  (since Starship never paid them properly, either). So yeah, I wish all six of them the best of luck and hopefully we'll see some of them again some day! I'll always be a Best Friend♡.

I'm a little late to the good-bye send off, but this news made me sad (although I honestly wasn't very surprised). They haven't been doing super well if I had to be honest and they may have hit their peak when they released Janus/I-Yeah (somewhere around there). They were pretty big rookies because I remember every Korean exchange student I knew at the time knew who they were. It's kind of surreal. They debuted before I graduated from elementary school and they disbanded when I graduated from university... I wish the best for all of them, tbh. I hope now the individual members get to shine and take on solo activities. Some of them were REALLY great singers and I think they would make great OST singers.

As a side note: I'm just scared the next announcement will be Teen Top will be disbanding (if I remember correctly, they also debuted around the same time and they also aren't doing too well).

When I saw Boyfriend in the headline, I thought it was a comeback and I was so freaking excited. It's so sad because Boyfriend was a very unique group. From their vocals to their concepts, and the fact that they had twins in the group. Although I'm sad that they disbanded and was treated really poorly by Starship, I hope they'll be happier now that they're free from there. And I'll definitely never forget them.

I know and me too. I had a feeling but was still hoping for something positive to happen. They didn't deserve this and hope for the future endeavors for them as well.

The news was crushing but also kind of a relief in a way. Like you said Starship never treated them properly, so at least now they’re free to pursue other endeavors

When I saw the headline earlier, my heart broke. Q____Q They deserved so much more and I'm so upset at how they had so much attention when they first debuted but then it just all fizzled to the point where they had to end like this in such a lackluster way. T^T Janus, which is so so so underrated, is still one of my favorite K-Pop songs of all time.
