short lesbian story pt. 1

It was a decent day so far. The weather was rather sunny, with rare occasions of a gentle breeze. Hannah was sitting on a bench, waiting for the train. She was tired, her body somewhat exhausted from the lack of a proper sleeping schedule. Despite nothing wrong happening, everything felt like it was lacking something. Though she's not quite sure what it is that she misses. She notices a bird right besides her and decides to snap a picture with her Polaroid camera. She knows it's cliche. This camera's quality isn't too good and there aren't many chances to retake a shot but to be honest, that's what she likes about it. These pictures all feel real, they happened as one moment existed until it passed. There was something banal about it that Hannah couldn't help adoring. On her lap was a pile of all kinds of pictures. Stray cats, garbage cans, parks, butterflies and even some of her self. As always, she planned on adding them to her album at home. She sort of collects them as a hobby, but she's shy about it. She knows she would have adored the idea of everyday hero pictures if it was someone else's, but something about the fact it was her collection made her self-conscious. She takes a deep breath and sighs, looking around the station for something else to take a picture of. Then, down the stairs walks a woman. Tall and beautiful. She had long brown hair and bangs, her eyes the color of wet sand. She was wearing a casual black dress with a side bag that had different kinds of pins on it. Some of rock bands, some of animals and others with words Hannah couldn't read from far away. Such a simple look but the woman looked so charismatic, radiating confidence from miles away with the way she stomps her black boots. Odd fashion choice, but who is Hannah to judge?

The woman catches a glimpse of the intense staring and only smiles in return, causing Hannah to look away. She plays with her short, red hair, wondering if she was scaring the lovely woman. She takes air in and gets up to the vending machine not too far from her for a drink. In the process, she drops a picture. Just as she's about to retrieve it, the lady in the black dress picks it up for her and hands it over. "You dropped this splendid picture of a bird." She says with what sounds like a French accent.

Flustered, Hannah mutters out "thank you" and sits back down.

The lady sits next to her. "My name is Jenny, what is yours?"

A bit confused, she answers. "Hannah."

"It's nice to meet you Hannah, do you live here?" She questions, a warm smile spreading across her beautiful face.

"Um, yes, I do, for years now!" Hannah exclaims, perhaps too excitedly.

"Lovely! Do you have free time today?" Jenny doesn't waste her time, it seems. A bit dumbfounded, Hannah only nods. "Can you show me around a little? I'm supposed to take a train to the other side of the city."

"Oh, I am as well. That's where I live." Hannah finally decides the pictures would be safer in her bag.

Taking out a water bottle, Jenny fumbles with it. "Aren't you a long away from home?" She takes a sip.

"My office is sadly very far from my house." Hannah leans against the wall, yawning into her hand.

"Long day at work, huh?" Jenny laughs, running a hand through her hair and looking absolutely dazzling as she does so. "What do you do?"

"I'm an accountant." Hannah couldn't help her eye roll at her own job. "What about you? You're not from here, are you?"

"I suppose my accent gave it away." Jenny laughs. Cutely if Hannah may add. "I'm from France, I had a business meeting a few hours ago and it finally ended. I'm too ecstatic about the deal closure and so I don't want to simply go back for my hotel room for the night."

Hannah lifts her eyebrow curiously. "So you pick up strangers?"

"Only the pretty ones." Jenny winks and Hannah swears her heart is going to pop out. Women as pretty as Jenny are anyone's weakness. She has this personal charm alongside her natural beauty and alluring accent. "Since we're going the same way, on the same train, do you mind if we sit together?"

"N-No, not at all." Hannah bashfully smiles. "We can go through my pictures, if you're interested."

Jenny grins. "I'd love that. And then we can go and get some coffee, if you'd be down to it."

"Gladly."
