• Jihae is quite the tall girl, and her body is very matured compared to other people of her age. She's quite curvy, but also quite muscled because of her intense training in martial arts. She has slight abs and thick, toned thighs. This makes her quite popular along the male fans, while she is still underage (which she doesn't really mind as long as it doesn't go too far). She has a cute face though, a soft squishy nose and sweet smiley eyes. Her hair is long and brown, and she sometimes styles it with bangs, but she usually lets it go wild like she had just went to a beach. She also has a healthy, suntanned skin.

• Jihae's style is not really something special. She just wears high waisted jeans, a pair of sneakers and either a cropped shirt or sweater or one tucked in her jeans. Active and outdoorsy: Jihae is the type of girl that loves breaking a sweat. She's a very active and sporty person who loves to be outdoors as well. Whenever she has the time, she will go outside to go biking, swimming or go for a jog, or go to the nearby clubs to practice her martial arts. When she's locked inside for too long without the opportunity to practice sports, she'll become stressed. She's also a real beach girl because she basically grew up on the beach, and she needs to see it once in a while or she'll get anxious as well.

Strong, tough and courageous: Jihae has grown up with three younger siblings who are absolutely adorable. She always felt like she had to protect them. Her parents also own martial arts schools in both Seoul and Busan, so Jihae and her siblings were trained since they were young, but mostly Jihae, because she is the oldest, and has the task of protecting her little babies. She grew up being told to act tough and face her fears whenever she encounters them, and that's how she ended up like this. A strong hero. If you harmed her friends or family, you better consider her a threat.

Humorous: Jihae has a good sense of humor, and she's going to rise in the variety show scene once she gets the opportunity. Her jokes are usually hard hitting, but never offensive to anybody. Nobody knows where she got that humor from, but Jihae loves to bring laughter to people, even though she's not really a friend of the world who just wants to befriend anyone. She just has that sense for variety, you know? Wild, outspoken and hilarious.

Boyish and mannerless: while Jihae has a real ladies' body to die for, she is actually a real tomboy. Well, not the short haired tomboy type who can be mistaken for a boy, no, but her behavior is just really not that girly. She's stronger and tougher than many boys. But it's not only that, Jihae just doesn't behave to female idol standards, which can get her into trouble. She sits with her legs open, and when she's wearing a skirt or short shorts, she constantly has to remind herself to sit like a lady. She also eats like a dude, taking huge bites and not caring about how she looks. She also flirts like a dude, which is absolutely hilarious. She just has to try to behave more to female idol standards on broadcast, or she might become the new target of those delusional netizens.

Loud and blunt: Jihae always makes her presence known with her voice. Her voice might be husky, but it's also naturally loud. Sometimes you just have those people who have to do everything loudly, even if it's by accident, and Jihae is one of them. She also has the tendency to interrupt people when she wants to share her opinion, and sometimes she also rushes the conversation, which makes her not overthink her words, and that might also get her into trouble.

Overly protective: Jihae might be one of the younger members of TCG, she still tries her best to protect everyone. A bit too much. She's always way too concerned, like they were all little sisters to her. She even puts curfews on older members when they go out on a day off. She just can't help it, she loves the members. Her oldest brother (who is still younger than her, btw) also doesn't like it too much when Jihae is overprotective over him. He's already 15, after all, blah blah blah. But Jihae will probably even drag him back home by the collar of his shirt when he's 30.

Narrow-minded: if Jihae has her own standards or opinion, no one can bring change to that. Especially when it comes to nature. Jihae is really concerned about the state of nature as it is right now and also the air pollution. She will be very stubborn and reluctant whenever she is forced into something that she doesn't agree with. Her opinion is the strongest, and maybe she should be more open towards other, and maybe better, ideas.

background. Jihae was born in the busy city of Busan, on a hot summer day. She was the first child of the family, but three more were to come. Jihae's parents are both martial arts fanatics and masters, and they had a school that teached multiple martial arts to people of all age. Young Jihae was either in the school, joining the training, or playing on the beach they lived so close to. Jihae was originally going to take over the martial arts school when she grew up so she received lots of training so she could master multiple martial arts. She was originally planning to do it too, but when she met her best friend, that all changed.

The best friend was all about music, the old kpop, super junior, tvxq, all that kind of stuff. He was a little cute fanboy, and he dragged Jihae along into the fandoms as well. Jihae in particular liked to dance along to the songs. It all started out innocent, but soon, it became a dream of hers, to make it as idol. She could take over the martial arts school when she retired and stepped out of the spotlight.

Her best friend wanted to try it too, but he wasn't allowed by his parents. When Jihae's parents announced that they would move to Seoul to open a second martial arts school over there, Jihae had to leave her bestie behind. But this way, she was closer to her dreams. Her parents weren't against it at all. Jihae is a tough girl, she can take on a lot. But she had to wait until she graduated elementary school to go audition. So while she also took care of her little siblings (the youngest not being born yet), training on martial arts and working hard in school, she also worked on her singing, rapping and dancing. She tried so hard to become decent without any lessons.

In 2013, when Jihae graduated elementary school, she was more than ready to take on the trainee life and take it down with a headlock or roundhouse kick. She was ready to fight her way through and debut on the big stage. Since her idols were from SM entertainment, this company was her first try too. She first tried twice on her own, but she didn't get accepted. But she didn't give up that easily, and her third try was on an open audition, where they finally saw her charms and skills as well, and she got in. While training at SM, the two things she developed the best were her dancing and sense for variety. But she was actually quite good at singing and rapping as well. They knew that Jihae could become an all-rounder with some good training and experience, so when smrookies was introduced later in 2013, Jihae was part of the first batch of trainees that got introduced, along with people like Irene, Jaehyun and Jeno. She was young, but since she was the oldest of the family and tough and strong, Jihae didn't seem that young at all. She showed potential, and fans couldn't wait until she could debut with the rest of the girls.
