Phew! I've been holding that in since the day it was announced that my baby boy, our one and only Kim Jongdae, vocal powerhouse and OST king, our Chennie Chen Chen, Micheal Chenson, Chensing Machine is finally getting his solo debut! *drumrolls* OMG, I AM SO SO HAPPY, I WANNA CRY! 

Do you guys know how much I've already cried for him? No, I mean for real. I never thought there'd be a time in my life where I'd cry for a boy and yet, I have cried for EXO, with EXO and for my biases. Some of you may already know this but the remaining members of the now non-existent EXO-M are and have always been my biases. I'm heavily Lay-biased but Chen and Xiumin are very - and I mean VERY - close seconds, with the rest of EXO as thirds. But even then, I've always had a soft spot for Chen, Jongdae, JD or whatever else it is that you prefer to call him. He's just so... sweet. And it just... irks me when people overlook him or undervalue his massive talents. Like, have you ever even heard him? How can you listen to that voice and not fall in love? HOW? 

Anyway, enough ranting. I was so happy when Lay debuted and although I miss OT9 terribly - and you can bet your I've cried for that too - I think that it's been a good decision overall. Look at how far he's come on his own. And I hope that all members of EXO are able to go that far one by one, starting with Kim Jongdae. And those of you who're saying he's the first member of EXO to debut solo can go shove that statement where the sun don't shine. I don't entertain OT8 stans here.

Yes, I'm aware that I have a very specific aesthetic but just... look at him! He looks gorgeous and his eyes look so sorrowful and yet, so beautiful... I just know I'm gonna cry when I hear him sing T_T

By the way, can I just say that I'm so proud of him? It is absolutely becoming of him to sing his highlight medley and flex his vocals on the entire industry. And I'm so proud that he's getting attention, not only from fans and kpop enthusiasts in general but from regular people as well, who're just lured in by his beautiful voice.
