Hey, fam <3

I'm sorry about the drought... I mean it. I've tried to sit down in front my laptop a lot of times and try to write but it's been really challenging... Especially these past few days. Without really giving anything too personal away, I've been going through some major sht in my life. It's making me reassess the way my life has been going, honestly. And with all the confusion in my head, I find it hard to put myself in the shoes of my characters enough to be able to write a decent update. 

I've been planning on concluding Checkmate for a while now. The structure of the story is done and all I have to do is sit down and write it, but again, it's challenging for me...

I hope you hang in there with me. I haven't forgotten my promise of never leaving a story unfinished and I would never leave any of you hanging--not after all this time. 

Thank you so much for being patient... I know how it feels to wait on an update, and I'm really grateful that you all have stayed tuned... I'm just taking a bit of a breather to get my head on straight and I promise I'll continue. You know I always do. 

In the meantime, I'm doing my best to write... I really am. So there still might be a couple of updates here and there... Just not as regular, I guess. 

I love you all so much... I am eternally grateful for your support.
