PERSONALITY:

typical hufflepuff. just what hwan acts like irl.

BACKGROUND: 

he was born in busan, the big city, and has an older brother, moonshin, who's older than him by a lot. seven years, specifically. unfortunately, their parents died when moonhwan was five, so he doesn't remember them very much. all he remembers is moonshin crying in his room, and the steady flow of relatives through the house.

the next thing he knows, they've moved to the outskirts of busan to live with their aunt and uncle, and moonshin retreated within himself, refusing to speak to anyone. it would be years before moonshin returned to his normal self, but when he did, moonhwan clung onto him, afraid that he would lose him again.

it wasn't like their aunt and uncle didn't want them there, but raising two kids when they weren't used to it was hard. as soon as moonshin could, he moved out, taking moonhwan with him. it wasn't easy supporting two kids at once, but thankfully, they had nice neighbors who helped out. one such neighbor was the kind old owner of a milk tea shop, and he would invite them to spend time in his shop, and gave them milk tea for free.

this old man was kyungsoo's grandfather, and turns out, kyungsoo and moonshin were about the same age, and they knew each other from school. so they all got to know each other well, and then kyungsoo took over the milk tea shop, and moonshin went off to college.

originally, moonshin could have gone to seoul for college, but he wanted to stay to be near moonhwan. he lived at home and his tuition was pretty much nullified since he got a ton of scholarships. life was just normal, but when moonhwan was 16, moonshin went off to the army.

now, it's just moonhwan living in their little apartment alone. he's going off to college next year, and he's applied to school in seoul. moonshin is coming back in august, and moonhwan has to find someway to tell him that he's not staying in busan. moonshin will be mad, he thinks, because of how ungrateful he is.

moonshin became severely depressed after his parents died, but came back for moonhwan's sake. after he graduated, he opted to stay in busan to take care of moonhwan, giving up a life of great potention. now that moonhwan's graduating, he wants him to stay as well.

jinhwan is a student at the local university. he's honestly probably one of the few genuine friends that moonhwan has, and they met at serenitea, where jinhwan once worked. now, he's too busy because of college.
