Hey everyone, it's been a long time hasn't it? Time really flies by the older you get. I've been MIA for quite sometime because 2018 was not a very good year for me on many counts, and I was never able to find time to update my story amidst the crazy I was experiencing. I took on a new job and left it in the same year, after going through a ridiculous ordeal in which they threatened to fire me if my performance didn't improve, hitting me with that out of nowhere. There was a lot of other involved, where I was unfairly targeted because I was a family member of someone higher up, and the stress of dealing with a hostile work environment every day for months left me physically ill more often than not. On top of that, I moved up to the position of marketing director for my side project, which had me and sometimes still has me running around like a chicken with my head cut off to manage everyone, run day-to-day operations and plan for the future. So basically, any energy that I had left over after an exhausting day of work went there. I also traveled a lot, mostly to New York with a stop in Chicago and Toronto, to cover different group tours.
After quitting my job my depression didn't get any better, and my motivation to write was at an all-time low, especially when I write professionally already as it is. Though it's a very different kind of writing from my stories. But since that time I have been receiving treatement to get better, and decided that I wanted to once again go through Bulletproof and edit the entire piece, using my new knowledge as an editor as well to fix up grammar mistakes. I will be updating each chapter once I've finished, but it's taken many months since this story is currently 566 pages at 11 point font in my word document. I am down to the last few most recent chapters, and once that is done updates should be coming back sporatically as well.
So that's what's been going on with me for the past year. Things have been difficult, but I'm excited to get back to creative writing again in my spare time.
