Today is another sad day for INSPIRITS and HOLY. Hoya is going to be enlisting as a public service worker. Though, it maybe not as an active soldier, but still he won't be having activities for at least 2 years. He announced his enlistment last February 05, 2019.

Here is his letter:

Translation:

Hello, this is Hoya.

It's already been a month since 2019 began, and the Lunar New Year is just around the corner.

Are you having a good holiday? It's been nine years since I debuted. Time flies, doesn't it? I think my 20s were so full of fans' love that I couldn't explain [my time] without them. I was truly happy because of HOLY. Thank you for giving me memories that I'll never forget for a long time.

Actually, I am writing this letter to tell you some sudden news today. I'm going to join the army after this holiday. I'm sorry to all my fans who are surprised by the sudden news. However, since this is my duty as a citizen, I will spend my time becoming more mature than I am now. I hope you all will be happy while waiting for me. I'll be back healthy. When we meet again, I'll greet you as a better person. Thank you always, and I love you.

* Though he is not a member of INFINITE, he is still a big part of it. For seven years (or more), SUNGKYU, DONGWOO, WOOHYUN, SUNGYEOL, MYUNGSOO, SUNGJONG and HOYA spent their wonderful time together. They shared wonderful memories of joy, love, fears, and sadness. 

I hope INSPIRITS will continue to support him. I know a lot of them decided to unfollow him. I do understand their decision, but please also understand that HOYA or should we call him HOWON just want to achieve his dreams. Remember he sacrificed a lot just to achieve them. 

Who knows, they are still in contact with each other. He is very close to INFINITE as they consider each other as brothers already. They may not express it in front of other people, I know they miss HOYA so much, especially during their performances.

HOYA with Leader, Sungkyu! - I miss their savage moments.

INFINITE H (HOYA and Dongwoo) - I will definitely miss their music.

HOYA and Woohyun - I will miss their interaction. A man full of aegyo and a man who cringe while doing aegyo.

HOYA and our Choding, Sungyeol - These two are sometimes awkward each other but we know how much they care towards one another.

HOYA with the visual, Myungsoo - Their love towards each other is great that they don't need to say it out loud.

Lastly, HOYA with our maknae, Sungjong - Sungjong is the closest to him. They have been roommates and they confide with each other. I like how he takes care of Sungjong and I miss seeing that.

INFINITE as OT7! - I miss the 7 of them in one stage. Now, I can see OT6, but in my heart it will be forever an OT7.
