 park taeyeon fears nothing. she's always able to confront scary things without even a hint of nervousness. she's able to take risks like its nothing. she doesn't hesitate before doing something frightening, even if that something is hunting ghosts with her best friend. that being said, one of the biggest reasons why taeyeon never fears something is because she is a rational person. while, she may not be rational when she goes out and does overly brave things (like that one time she jumped off a cliff dove into the ocean after losing a bet to youngwoo back in middle school), when it comes to listing out reasons why she should fear something- she always goes the scientific way. did something move out of nowhere? it was the wind. you saw something move in the corner of your eye? apophenia. you heard a groaning sound from upstairs? its just the building settling in. before jumping to conclusions about whether or not she should fear something, she would always rationalize a reason as to why it isn't scary.
(  SUPPORTIVE + HUMOUROUS  ) taeyeon does not believe in ghost. nor does she believe in spooky aliens, or demons, or werewolves. so, why is she in the mystery catcher club? because her best friend founded it. she knew how much this club meant to youngwoo, and being the supportive friend she was, she made sure that she was the first person to join. she's at every meeting and every outing. she's the person who puts her friends' success in front of her own, and she'll push them until they reach their peaks. taeyeon is also a funny person. she serves as the comic relief during their visits to korea's most haunted areas, and is there to lighten up the room. 
(  INSENSITIVE + RECKLESS + EASILY BORED  ) as a funny person, taeyeon sometimes doesn't realize that her jokes hurt people. when you're sad, she'll point fun at your appearance without noticing that you took with bad heart. commonly, when the club go to haunted areas, she'll make fun of people's fear. instead of comforting everyone, she'll tease them for being scared of something as dumb as a ghost.  also, taeyeon is reckless. she's a risk taker and overly brave and, despte being rational when it comes to reasoning, she doesn't think ahead when she does things. her and youngwoo both are into doing extreme (and terrifying) sports, which is mostly why they've always been close. however, her recklessness also gets her in trouble. a lot. you'd think that youngwoo would have a best friend who's personality would keep his in check, but taeyeon and youngwoo are both equally dumb and prone to trouble. that being said, most of her humor and recklessness comes from the fact that taeyeon gets bored very easy. if she's not being active for at least a minute, she will go off and do something else- usually something terribly stupid. this also goes for school, tv shows, reading, etc. its really hard for her to pay attention without going off and doing something else.
(  DEFIANT + HOT-HEADED  ) if you try to tell taeyeon to do something, that is like an automatic ticket to have her do the complete opposite. she hates being told what to do, so you have to allow her to move at her own pace or else what you want her to do won't be done. she could be planning to do something (like clean her room, or finish her homework), but once someone comes up and tells her to do it, she'll get mad and decide not to do it. its very frustrating, but most people have learned to just let her move on her own instead of forcing her to do anything. she's quick-tempered, and this can make her a bit scary. she's impeetuous, and it doesn't take that much to set her off. she's normally very friendly, but say one wrong thing and that'll set her off. she's stubborn, so she's quick to stick her nose up and huff away. the only time when she isn't as hot-headed is when it comes to jokes, as taeyeon isn't as sensitive when it comes to humor.

 BACKGROUND: 　taeyeon's father is a preacher at one of the biggest curches in her neighborhood, and her mother was a housewife. taeyeon was their first child, but they eventually gave birth to another daughter in 2001. taeyeon's childhood was normal for the most part. she was popular around the neighborhood since she was always playful and you'd never see her inside the house. her parents were very religious and strict over everything. but in her childish naiveness, taeyeon didn't really pay attention to it. when she was in elementary school, she met a boy named do youngwoo. she'd seen him around the neighborhood when she went around to play, but the two didn't live close enough for her to really know him. they were in the same homeroom, and because of their troublesome natures they both were constantly sent to the principle's office. it was there that they became friends, and over time they only grew closer. 

during middle school, when taeyeon started to acknowledge her uality. she never was into boys, the way the other girls were. she'd befriend them, sure, but in terms of childhood crushes- she didn't have any. she was always so manly and tough, they never liked her either. there was a girl in her middle school class who taeyeon fell in love with the moment she met her. she tried to push these feelings away, as her over religious parents constantly shoved the idea that homouality was a sin, but the romantic interest in girls that she had only grew as she got older. fortunately, as she got into high school it was around the time when support for the lgbt community was growing. she met other students who identified as lgbt, and she started to feel comfortable in her own skin. having a best friend like youngwoo who was always there to support her in her journey through her uality only helped her more. by the time she was ready to graduate from high school, she knew who she was. she was a lesbian, and she wasn't ashamed of that.

she came out to her parents the day after she graduated. unsurprisingly, they were disgusted. they, specifically her father, insulted her and shunned her before eventually claiming that they no longer claimed taeyeon as their daughter. with nowhere to go during the time between high school graduation and the beginning of university, she had to crash on a lot of people's couches. most of the times, she stayed over at youngwoo's house, but his mom wasn't always willing to have to feed three hungry mouths between youngwoo, youngmin and taeyeon. when her first year at college started, though, she moved into a dorm room. she currently doesn't have a roommate, but she is looking for one!

▸always, she wanted to cut her hair. she always dressed very boyishly, and found herself more into manly styles. it was a few weeks after her parents kicked her out. she was struggling a bit to get over it, because her own parents practically spat in her face and told her to off, but once she did that was the first thing she decided to do. she's been confident ever since.
▸she decided to major in psychology, as she is always there to use logic and scientific facts to answer things.
▸ she loves watching horror movies, despite not believing in any of the crap the show in them.
▸she is a huge PLAYER she has girls all over her and is constantly flirting around.

taeyeon was always a bit distant from her parents. they were too focused on religion and that scared her off. but, they were still her parents. when they kicked her out, she was heartbroken despite expecting it. she no longer is in contact with them, and wants to hate them with all her heart. but, deep down she just wants her parents to accept her and take her back in.

he is her best friend. when they're not seperated by their classes, they are always together. they're literally the closest to each other and if there's anyone who knows youngwoo the best, its taeyeon. they're constantly getting in trouble together, and when you see them in the same room- get ready for some crazy stuff to occur. taeyeon always knew about his interest in the supernatural, so when he told her about his plan to make the club, she was supportive despite not believing in all of that. everything youngwoo does, taeyeon is there to applaud him.

when they bet, taeyeon was friendly with her. she teased nari over her belief in supernatural stuff, but wasn't hostile over her. when she found out about nari's power, she immediately didn't believe it. she thought that nari was either lying, and youngwoo was just dumb enough believe, or they were pulling a prank on her. but, when nari proves that she actually can see ghost, it makes taeyeon rethink her entire mentality.

taeyeon loves her sister. even though their parents try to keep the two seperate so that taeyeon's "sinfulness" won't rub off on miyeon. but, they still text each other everyday, and meet up behind their parents' back. miyeon goes to the same school as youngwoo's brother, youngmin, so taeyeon and youngwoo hang out with their little siblings a lot together. the four go out to eat, or watch movies together.

 have you experienced an extraordinary event in your life?  meeting you *corny smike*... wait sidnyiu mean like supernatural? if so then no. but i did see this one dog walking on two legs once...

 do you believe there is a scientific reason for unfortunate events?  obviously. coincidence or not, everything can be scientifically proven. and if something hasn't proven yet, its only because its still in the working. *pokes youngwoo’s arm* everything has a scientific explanation. 

 have you ever heard anyone saying that you're weird or crazy?  as the gay class clown in high school, definitely. you were called crazy, too.

 do you believe in ghosts?  you stop asking me this before i turn you into a ghost (youngwoo: so you agree that ghosts exist?) seriously?

 do you believe in aliens?  that's being more realistic. there are certainly other beings outside of the planet, the universe is too big for us not to be the only ones here. they just aren't the 'take me to your leader' kind that we see on tv.

 what do you think of werewolves and vampires?  if you're asking me whether or not i believe in them, then hell to the no. but they're cool in movies.

 can you spend a night at a haunted place  sure, cause its not haunted. we can so it together, if you want.

 LAST WORDS: 　this took waaay longer to do then i expected, but she's here!!! also! i didn't includea love interest section because i couldn't think of anything, but if you can (and if you get a lesbian/bi/etc. app), could you make her and another mcc member date? i just thought it was cute lol! i hope you like taeyeon! i really am a er for ghost stories and haunted locations, so i really wanted to apply!
