Many people don't expect it because she wears contacts while performing, but Sammi actually does need glasses. Intelligent and hard-working: Sammi is a lady with brains. She's intelligent and hard-working, and that made her a top student ever since she was a young child. She's always working hard to reach her goals, and does enjoy learning new things to expand her knowledge. She was the class president in her class for a few years, and was also one of the top 5 students of her class at any time. She also finished her journalism studies as one of the better students, even though she had to do it all in Mandarin and English.

 

Humorous: It's not only smart talk that she gives, Sammi also has a great sense of humor. She loves cracking jokes and either making her friends laugh or facepalm so that she can laugh. Her jokes range from real good ones to lame dad jokes and puns. Once she was put into the group, her dad side emerged and along with that came the stupid dad jokes. At least some people can laugh at them but they're just so dumb sometimes. At least it's not always dad jokes, and Sammi is often able to lift up the mood with a good one.

 

Caring and paternal: As the second oldest of the group, Sammi pretty much felt like she had to take care of these kiddos immediately. Hana took on the mom role, but Sammi gave the kids tough love and dad jokes, so she became known as the dad of the group. She's the tough protector who gets way too possessive over her kids sometimes. She's the embarassing yet cool dad. She just really likes to take care of people who are younger and less experienced than her. She wants to take them under her wings and raise them until they're succesful and mature.

 

Tough: ain't nobody messing with Sammi or the people she loves. She's a real tough one and has a thick skin, but once you say anything bad about one of her friends, oh boy. She's able to deal with harsh situations and barely suffers under heavy precious. It's like her back is reinforced with steel so that it isn't able to bend under all the workload she got through the years. Hate comments don't touch her, injuries? Just keep going! She can handle that ! It's crazy how she can be so strong sometimes, but her parents have raised her this way. As class president and top student, she sometimes got weird comments from other kids, but she always fired right back.

 

Stubborn and hot-headed: being tough for years has brought some other, unwanted things along. Sammi has become very stubborn. She really doesn't like losing arguments, even when she knows she's in the wrong. She'll always put her opinion out there, even when it might be a bit controversial. She sometimes collides with other people because of this, and has even lost a few friends because of it all. She also gets irritated easily. She doesn't let anything towards her get to her, but small trivial things that others do can already make her fuming, like someone clicking a pen while writing something, such things really make her mad. She also gets mad way too early when someone is saying stuff about her friends. Even a comment that might not be meant as harm can make her fuming, and it can be a real pain to deal with sometimes. It's not the first time that she has stormed out of the dorm because another member was being a bit of a pain. She takes it way too far in such things.

 

Impulsive and careless: While Sammi is intelligent, she often tends to throw herself into things without thinking about the consequences. When she gets a new idea, she wants to do it immediately, not thinking about the consequences. She has gotten into trouble before because she made careless decisions. It's not often actions, but also words. As said before, she often puts her opinion out there, sometimes it being a bad opinion that might offend people, but she doesn't think about that until she actually offends someone.

background » Sammi was born as the middle child with two brothers. Her family was very nice and they raised their children strong and well, and encourated them that studying is not a bad thing. Sammi was always a smart girl, and was one of the class' model students, even though she got into little fights with other sometimes. She was a smart little girl who loved handball, music and reading articles. She did take vocal classes and join the handball club, but that was all for fun, because she really wanted to become a journalist. She was determined to get into a prestigious university and become a journalist and interviewer. During her teenage years, she discovered her interest in gaming as well, but she didn't know it would be such a big part of her life.

 

She started to play league of legends right before she moved to Shanghai to study journalism in college. She became hooked to the game, but also worked very hard to get her degree. She quit vocal class to spend more time to study, but she didn't forget about music. She completed her studies as one of the best students, even though most of the course was in Mandarin, which wasn't her native language. And she started to look for a job. She originally wanted to be a news journalist for regular daily journals, but the game league of legends had become so special to her, especially the e-sports scene, so she tried to find a job there. And she turned out to be the perfect fit.

 

Charisma, good looks, good humor and especially great interviews, once Sammi got hired as journalist and interviewer for the LPL, the chinese pro league, she got quite popular. It was 2015, and she was a fresh and cute face in the world of league. The public loved her, the staff loved her, the players loved her. One player in particular seemed to have quite an eye on her, because he always looked like he was trying really hard to be appealing when he got interviewed by her. it was Sammi's favourite player, Clearlove. He was known as a great player, and would later on become one of China's biggest legends. Sammi really enjoyed her time as journalist and interviewer at the LPL, but she suddenly lost her job to a younger and even more appealing girl. Sammi was really sad that she was left behind, not only her, but the public, staff and players as well. Many people disagreed with the choice of dropping her. Sammi herself did too. But she wasn't someone to give up. She wanted to do journalism with the LPL, or no journalism. It was a shame, but she was too stubborn. Her brother told her that she could try becoming a kpop idol.  She had the singing down from having vocal classes early on in her life and could dance for a bit, so why not? It was half meant as a joke, but Sammi had made her decision, she was going to become kpop idol and nothing else. It was 2017, and she was going to conquer Korea.

 

After trying and not getting into a few other companies, Sammi got accepted into Anmo entertainment. She missed the LPL, especially the friends she had made, and Clearlove, but she was determined to keep going. But little did she know that her journey would become so wild...

 

Note for the error: Sammi took vocal classes as hobby ever since she was in elementary school, and she only stopped at age of 18 when she started college in Shanghai. When she went back to singing, her technique was rusty, but after some practice, it all returned to her like how you never forget how to ride a bike. I'm sorry if this was unclear in the background! Her dancing was just... basic dancing skills you have when you party and dance while jamming to music when you're home alone. She was able to learn a choreography by following guides online, but it was only basic and not really developed yet.

Andy and Sammi get along very well. Andy is a great older brother who loves to take care of his little siblings. Sammi and Deft could talk endlessly about how awesome Clearlove was, and that was the start of a nice friendship. Deft is an adorable alpaca friend, and they have managed to maintain their relationship because Deft returned to Korea in the same season Sammi got fired in the LPL, and came to Korea too. Sammi loves to tease Yoonbyul with her powers too, which pisses Yoonbyul off and makes her throw a fit often. Sammi just really likes manipulating Yoonbyul. When her powers are activated, she has electricity running through all of her body, so Sammi can manipulate her movement if she tries really hard. Since Sammi is good at languages, she quickly surpassed Aowen with her Korean knowledge, but she spent lots of time helping Aowen out. They try to keep it civil because they're groupmates after all, but they always talk to each other with this snarky undertone, and Sammi often scolds Jiyoo for being such a lazy little prick. TRAINEE LIFE » Sammi was welcomed by the other trainees with open arms, which was a very good thing for her. She was afraid that she would be on her own, but the others were just so nice and fun that she immediately felt at home, despite the language barrier and Sammi being new to trainee life. She was all new into this world and had to pick up vocal after years and learn to dance properly as well. She was used to life as interviewer and journalist in China, so it was a lot of adjusting for her. Gladly, the others helped her out a lot, and she felt like she was at home, and felt the need to protect these girls no matter what. She's incredibly thankful to the time they spent on helping her out when she needed it. At the start, Sammi felt a bit out of place because she was new and different, and is used to be surrounded by boys, but that changed fast.

NECKLACE » Bih. A very special element that has many different colors, and has a special stair-like structure because it grows faster at the edges than on the inside. It can be grown artificially. power » Cyberkinesis, the ability to control technology.  She is able to control devices that involve electricity or ferrous elements, and because bih is such a strong diamagnetic element, Sammi can partly manipulate magnetic objects as well, but only push them away from her. She gets the same repelling effect as bih does when her powers are activated. To be able to manipulate things, she needs to be nearby, and the effects work better when she actually touches the objects. Sammi can create, shape and manipulate technology, except when it's purely mechanical and involves no electricity, ferrous parts or magnetism. She can repair, break and control technology to her will, and can control stuff like computers and robots, but also the oven in the dorm or the light on her bedside table. Once she understands her power well, she might be able to control small  metal objects to her will with impulses. it's a bit like electricity manipulation, but way more focused on modern technology, and way less on actually generating electricity. She can control it, but not generate it herself. She needs electricity to operate, so if an object is broken and has no electricity anymore, she can't repair it. Luckily she has Yoonbyul who can generate the electricity she needs. She can touch Yoonbyul without any problems when both have their powers activated and she can even manipulate Yoonbyul to some extent, because she has electricity all in her body. The one disadvantage Sammi's stone gives her is that while her powers are activated, she repels anything magnetic that's in a close distance, so she can't pick up magnetic spoons, for example. the reaction » Sammi's first reaction was: 'Out of all powers, why cyberkinesis,' with an ironic chuckle. She didn't feel weird at all somehow, but found it very funny and ironic that she, the one who's against overexcessive use of social media, got the power to manipulate it all. She immediately started to think of fun things to do and all the possibilities. It just felt right to her. She did think that it was very odd how she wasn't really surprised and was kind of like 'oh, meh, cyberkinesis'.

— How did you feel about Eom Jiae?

I... Why do you ask this question? I feel like this is not something we can talk about just in the open. No one knows the full story on why this happened. So no comment. Please don't ask such things. I don't want to answer that kind of questions.

— How about we talk about your necklace? How did you feel about it?

At first, I thought it was just really pretty. I really liked it, actually. But now it became even better. It was weird because I always had a weird sense of tingling and warmth coming from it, and sometimes, I would repel magnetic stuff and crash computers when I touched them... It was very suspicious, so once the truth was revealed, I wasn't that surprised.

— Did anything started changing after getting it?

Yeah, definitely. I can't eat with most utensils anymore. If doors are magnetic, they open for me automatically when I try to walk in, but I can't open them the other way round. Sometimes it's cool, sometimes it all . Also, now the members are less addicted to their phones, because I tell them to get off or I'll break them, heh. Handy, right?

— What do you feel about the other members?

They can sometimes be a bit annoying with their shenanigans, but as the second oldest, I feel like I have to take care of them and protect them. No one can even harm them, because I'll be harming the one who does. No one can touch my kids.

— Well. What's your dreams in the future?

I... don't really have a dream anymore- Now I think about it- Wow, that's actually really creepy... I already graduated college, got the degree I dreamt of, worked in that job and then decided to try something else. I basically already made it in life! The only thing that I still want to do is find a man, marry and have lovely kids.

personality » Ming Kai, better known as Clearlove or Clearlove7, is a lovely man. He's china's biggest veteran, so he often feels like a big brother / dad, just like Sammi herself. He's very caring towards his younger teammates, and gives them advice. But he also teases them from time to time, even though his jokes are way less lame than Sammi's most of the time. He is also quite intelligent, just like Sammi, but his knowledge is especially visible when gaming. He's only a substitute player of his team right now, because he's past his peak already. He reached his peak during the time Sammi was active in the LPL scene. When he's not playing himself, Clearlove always supervises the game and analyses it to give his teammates advice after it ends. He's really someone you can depend on. He's also quite optimistic. He has taken some breaks before, because he's past his peak, but he keeps going, and always reassures the fans he'll come back better, and so he does.

 

 

Ming Kai can actually be very awkward. He sometimes says things that make him and others awkward, and just his behavior is sometimes awkward. He isn't the best at social interactions, and that's why it was also so obvious that he had something for Sammi during the time she was an LPL caster. He would just become such a mess when he was interviewed by her, and he'd be smiling, but also seem really nervous. Sammi always thought it was adorable, but there will always be people who find his awkwardness annoying. He also has a shy side to him. Even though he's really popular in China and worldwide, he's still not really used to having cameras around. He's afraid to mess up in front of the cameras, so he always tries to be extra careful, and sometimes just wants to escape and relax in a place where there are no cameras. He's also quite clumsy, so here's another reason he wants to be as careful as possible on camera. he doesn't want to embarass himself in front of the public, but there are already quite a lot of memes on the internet of him derping, or especially K/da Ahri looking like him, recently. He has a lot of pressure on him, and also has quite some haters who say he should just retire, and sometimes they get to him, and make him sad. But Sammi always tries to make sure the haters don't touch her man.

 

love story » Around the time Sammi started to play league of legends, Clearlove started with his rise to fame as jungler of team WE.  When Sammi started watching the LPL, the player she liked the most was Clearlove. She admired him for his skills as jungler, as she is a jungler as well. It was the start of her dream to become part of the LPL, and in 2015, Clearlove's biggest glory year, she suddenly came into his life. She was totally his type, but Sammi was very nervous as well, because she was interviewing her hero after all. Their feelings started to grow bit by bit. Even though they were interested in each other from the first moments, it took a while for their feelings to actually grow. This was no magical 'oh I met my hero once now I love him' moment, but their feelings took time to grow like they were just strangers who started to grow closer and closer. And even though they never confessed to each other, Sammi was pretty convinced their feelings were mutual, while Clearlove couldn't believe a girl like her would want to be with a guy like him.

 

When Sammi suddenly got fired, Ming Kai was one of the many people who were disappointed, and he openly voiced his concern and disappointment, wondering why Sammi got fired while she was so good and popular. he still appears at interviews way less enthusiastic than before, now that Sammi's not the one interviewing him anymore. Especially when she left to go to Korea, Ming Kai felt empty. His girl wasn't there anymore, even though they weren't dating. They now try to visit and talk to each other as much as possible, and they've turned into a weird relationship. They are not official, yet they both see each other as theirs only. They're basicaly on the brink of dating, but they can't be together for now. Esports players are openly allowed to date, but Sammi isn't, even though many esports fans would celebrate if they finally revealed their relationship. They will eventually just do everything a couple does without it being official, but they do like each other a lot for quite a while already, and the desire to be together grows every day.
