— Taewoon is one of the most OPTIMISTIC contestants on Balance. He's always looking on the bright side, he's always so positive. If you think you're doomed to fail at something, just look to Taewoon for a bright light in the ever depressing darkness. He'll cheer you up with a bright smile on his face. Taewoon has always been an OUTGOING boy. His extrovertedness is almost nauseating. He even goes to the opposing team members to see how they're doing. That being said, it also has to do with how FRIENDLY he is. It's expected for a person who's always smiling to be open to making as many friends as he wants. No matter who you are, or what team you're on, Taewoon will try to make a friend out of you.Taewoon is always happy, he's so BLISSFUL. Joy and positivity swell up his heart, he's always happy even moments of loss. That's why when you see the team's most jolly member look sad, an alarm sets off inside of you. Taewoon loves his friends, and he'll be SUPPORTIVE of them no matter what. He will always stand by your side, cheering you on. And if you do fail, he's there to do anything he wants to cheer you up, reminding you that there is always next time.

However, Taewoon is very LOUD. And not an acceptable loud. There's been many times where s have literally yelled at him to shut up and then he has the nerve to act shocked. Also, Taewoon is STUPID. Like he is the epitome of dumb energy. If you tell him a joke, he'll laugh for a few seconds then ask you what you meant. He literally has no brain cells, and as the main freaking dancer, this can clearly get annoying during practice.Speaking of the dumb juice he drinks, Taewoon's a RECKLESS person. He doesn't think before doing things, and this has caused a lot of stuff to break. He's very accident-prone. He's broken mics, chairs, table, literally anything because of his nature. He's also very reckless with his words. He has a LOOSE TONGUE that slips out anything that comes to his mind. Does he want some boba tea? Then, he'll say it. Does he think the clothes your wearing look ugly? Then he'll say it. Obviously this has gotten him in trouble with other trainees. There have been multiple times when his friends had to protect him from getting his whooped by people who he got on the wrong side of. Finally, when it comes to things that he isn't passionate about, Taewoon is super SPOILED. By his company, by his family, by his leader- he has always been fed with a golden spoon. And this has made him become a spoiled brat. He's so used to getting everything he wants that when he doesn't get what he wants, he becomes a whole whining baby. He literally has a temper trantrum, going against what we thought the happy boy was.

BACKGROUND

—  Taewoon is the only child to rich parents. His father was the head of a 5-star hotel, and his mother a doctor at the local hospital. And so, on his small island of Jeju, he was given everything he wanted. The newest game console? He got it. The coolest toy? He got it. Since he was in middle school, Taewoon always was interested in theater. He absolutely loved the stage, and whenever a musical was brought to his city, he ordered his parents to take him to watch it. 

It wasn't long before he decided he, too, wanted to sing and dance like the people on the stage. At only 9 years old, he asked his parents to put him into an academy of dance. It was the best in Jeju Island, and he learned everything he needed to know. He started getting casted in theater productions, and while he was no Jinseok, he did pick up the singing skills he needed to become a lead vocalist.

When Taewoon was 11, he told his parents he wanted to become an idol. It was something he always looked into, and seeing how amazing those idols looked on stage and in their music videos, he knew he had to be one of them. But, this was the first time that his parents told him no. They knew how scary the idol life was, and didn't want their little baby going through these things. Taewoon had a fit. An entire tantrum: he threw things, he screamed, he cried. Fearing how crazy their son would get, they allowed him to apply. At first he applied for SM Entertainment (he was a SHINee fan boy), but was denied. So, he applied to JYP Entertainment, where he was accepted and started training as a Main Dancer.

Jinseok has definitely become like Taewoon's mom. He's very over protective of Taewoon and spoils him the same way that his parents did. Taewoon follows Jinseok around everywhere, and while his loudness does get on Jinseok's nerves, Jinseok deals with it and loves his lil son no matter what.

ANGEL SANTOS

Angel and Taewoon met during training. They immediately hit it off. They were both dumb, they both loved to play around, and Taewoon's positive energy complimented his friend's perfectly. Angel has become his best friend, and the two are practically inseperable. They're always near each other, like glue. When they found out that they were going to be on the show together, they were extremely together. The two make a powerful dancing maknae line.

TRAINING LIFE

— Taewoon was loved by JYP to the point where other trainees were becoming openly jealous. JYP loved him so much that he actually hesitated in adding him to the show, because he wanted Taewoon to have complete assurity in debuting. That being said, he still made plenty of friends and got along with a lot of his fellow trainees.
