What do you think of chapter length?

As it is from the title, what do you think of chapter length? Must it be short so people won't lose their attention span? Or do you think it's better to have longer chapters so it's something like rewarding the readers who waited patiently? I used to think that longer chapters are better so it's like a full novel length kind of thing. But lately I am starting to think that maybe short chapters will keep readers wanting more.

What do you think? How would you chapter your story?

it depends tbh on the mood of author and response of readers

i often used 3,000 words per chapter

I usually try to keep around 700 words minimum per chapter and end the chapter with a cliffhanger or something emotional.
That way the readers will be waiting for the next update
