My friend, Ann1914, is hosting a contest called SURPLUS! A Poster-Based Writing Contest. The title is self-explanatory, is it not? However, what I want to say is that I will be reviewing the submitted story and providing advice when it comes to writing (typical gist, so that includes grammatical errors, punctuations, character development, plot progression, etc). 

I feel that this is a great opportunity for writers to check how they are doing and perhaps learn something new. As for graphics designers, you can submit your posters and have someone write a story to your poster. It is is a great way to get exposure, promote yourself, and have some fun!

The reason why I decided to spread the word about this competition is I wish I had something like this when I was new to writing and still had free time to write. At that time, I didn't have many people beta-ing or reviewing my works. When I look back at my stories now, I realize how many embarrassingly stupid mistakes I did, that I wish someone had corrected them. 

Hence, with the experience I have gathered after so many years of writing, I feel I am ready to give you some advice. Of course, by all means, I am not a professional. I do have flaws and I will not always be able to provide you the most objective comments; however, given my experience, I think that it is is still something that could be valuable of some sorts (if you are fan of my writing style).

In conclusion, please participate! I think this is going to be great adventure full of fun!
