I wasn't sure what to title this but xD. I'm here to talk about where my inspiration came from with my most popular series.

Mostly to talk about the inspiration between the various species that are in the wolfaus.

Werewolves:

The inspiration behind my version of werewolves actually come from the movie/book Blood and Chocolate. The way they change, their weakness to silver, the like.

However, I did take a bit from the abo universe with the alphas and betas. The Betas act the most like the Omegas in the abo universe but that's where that inspiration ends.

I want to ephasize that I am not an aboau writer. there's similarities but things are very different in how my versions of a werewolf work.

Recently I actually decided to add the ability to change their wolf forms to stand on two legs, I think I draw that sort of inspiration the most from the Underworld series.

The two mates thing? I don't know where that came from actually xD. However it makes things very interesting with how the characters in the stories work. The pure bloods thing is more from Being Human US version but other than that everything else is from Blood and Chocolate.

Vampires:

I did draw like a 1% bit of inspiration from Twilight. Only the speed and animal drinking part. Other than that the rest is from Being Human US version.

If it was a twilightau then I would've put twilightau in the tags lmao

Shapeshifters:

Okay, yes. I drew all the wolf shapeshifter inspiration from Twilight. HOWEVER. They're just wolf shapeshifters. Other characters with other animal forms are from my own mind. Imprinting is also from Twilight.

I think the only thing that's not inspired by Twilight is the drug. Granted shapeshifters do have their own weaknesses but this drug that renders a shapeshifter weak is completely my own doing.

Also I don't believe the hair dye changes the color of the fur slightly thing is inspired by anything. I just threw that in because why not. xD It works for the series. Granted it only worked for 2 and 1/4 stories in said series but.

Animal-humans:

They're completely inspired by the Wolf's Rain anime. Hell I even loosely based Hyunbin and Sanggyun off of Quent and Blue respectively from Wolf's Rain.

I'm not exactly sure how the human illusion works in that anime but I know that they can show their forms however they want. With the vampires, werewolves etc., they can have their illusion up for them but show as an animal to the regular humans. Or vice versa. I think it would completely depend on the situation.

Sungjin and the rest of Day6 are somewhat based off of the main characters from Wolf's Rain! Since they were the first animal-humans to really appear I thought I'd somewhat portray them as characters based off the wolves seen in Wolf's Rain.

Well, except for Blue. Sanggyun is sort of based off of Blue.

Who knows, we might be able to see other animal-humans in the future! Right now it's just wolves but who knows what happens in this series xD
