corban heo definitely catches eyes. at first glance, there's no doubt that you'd think she's pretty, but the longer you look at her...the more gorgeous she gets. it's a weird, alluring kind of charm she has. maybe it's the long, platinum blond hair or the big, almond-shaped eyes or the plump, pursed lips. maybe it's the way she carries herself, the clothes she wears, the sound of her laugh. she's tall and thin, envied by many for her strong metabolism and good genes. no one can deny that she's beautiful.
it's not with no effort, though. she has a good skin routine and she puts effort into her outfits and she does wear a good amount of makeup, but that's because she's interested in it and she likes to experiment with new looks. corban knows she's pretty, but she doesn't let it get to her head because that isn't everything to her.

layers !! in order to accomodate to the bipolar weather, corban will usually leave the house with some form of stylish outerwear (a corduroy jacket, knit cardigan, thick thrifted flannel, etc.) over a graphic tee or spaghetti strap, typically paired with some mom jeans. in general, her clothes are pretty loose-fitting since she values comfort above anything, but that doesn't mean she doesn't value style at all. corban's fashion is a harmonious balance of feminine style and casual comfort.
corban's white button-up is loose-fitting and slightly boxy and she leaves approximately 2 buttons undone. she usually opts for the pants, whether it be her chunky, high-waisted, straight leg dusty rose pants or her light pink cargo pants - both of which were thrifted !! the skirt comes out...rarely.

☾ daddy issues ! everybody has them, so corban sees that as reason to not think about it as much as she should (corban neglecting big life problems unless they are staring her in the face- what's new) - but it's impacted her a lot more than she probably ever thought it would. her parents had always fought since the beginning, seemingly mostly just because their morals and opinions were different. they divorced when she was 5, but it was only when she was 16 that she found out it was also because he was having an affair - no, multiple. this broke her trust of him and just about every other Man on this planet, but she probably doesn't even realize the affect it's had on her until she finds a guy she really likes and starts wondering why she's ,, scared.
☾ queen of part-time jobs ! with her dad gone, it was always just corban and her mom. her mom has a pretty stable job, but corban always knew the extra money would definitely help (and it's not like she wasn't benefitting from making money to spend!), so ever since she was old enough to apply, she's been working odd jobs here and there. boba shops (too much free boba ,, not healthy ><), starbucks (people really have the most outrageous orders), subway (the most boring time of her life), sushi restaurants (the BEST tips ugh), etc. ice dream was supposed to just be another one of them...
☾ elysia '19 ! is this the right year school is definitely not corban's favorite thing - intellect doesn't come easy to her, but neither does hard work ethic. she's just your average student trying to get by, and by what means she doesn't even know. a day in her Average life consists of waking up an hour and a half before school to get ready, repeatedly telling her mom she's seriously considering ditching today as she washes up, begrudgingly making her way to school, going through the dreaded 6 or so hour schedule of straight classes that she is not worried to leave behind in college, goofing off with her friends during lunch and the handful of classes they have together, going to part-time after 5th period because she doesn't need a 6th as a senior, then from there it's work work work study study play play play study play study sleep. if you look at the big picture, it definitely looks tedious, but corban tries her best to make every day a little more exciting !

☾ aster hwang (18; fc kimlip), kyuri choi (18; fc choerry) together, they're the 3 musketeers. they're the two people corban trusts the most, if anyone, and have been there for her since 5th grade. aster and corban have always gone to the same school since they were little but only started getting close when they were the only koreans in their 5th grade class. kyuri came midway through the year from korea and immediately found refuge in the only 2 people in class who could understand her. from there, it only blossomed. aster is a little more boyish and very similar to corban in the way she goes with the flow and is very chill, but she's not afraid to speak her mind and be blunt when she needs to. kyuri is bright and cheerful and always positive, giving people the benefit of the doubt and finding it hard to believe that sometimes humanity is just innately evil. the three of them are definitely on different parts of the spectrum, but they wouldn't have it any other way.
☾ dante wong (18; fc lucas) he transfers to elysia at the beginning of senior year and he is ALL the rage. all the girls want him, all the boys want to be him...but all he wants is to get to know corban. they're paired together for a small in-class assignment and when she shows that she could ,, probably care less about him liking her, he's immediately intrigued. it's not that she doesn't think he's good looking - frick, he's hella good looking. but she just...doesn't care. but he's determined to make her care. he's always trying to talk to her and be with her and he even comes out to ice dream pretty regularly and EVERYONE tells corban he's OBVIOUSLY into her but she's kind of Insecure and also Dense so she isn't going to think so unless he explicitly says so.
☾ venus hwang (18; fc chaeyeon) she's intimidating. it's the first general conclusion corban can come to about venus, which is saying a lot, because corban could always care less. but it's something constantly tugging in the back of her mind when it comes to venus - she's scary. not so much that corban actually gets scared...she does the interview just fine, trying to be amiable and lighthearted even as her heart thumps a little...but as she starts working with her, corban realizes that venus is not so much scary as she is just...who she is. being a leader, being assertive, being confident !! that's just venus hwang. at some point, corban just accepts that, as well as the fact that they're consequently different. she comes to understand her a little more, but doesn't think she LIKES her any more...sure, she admires how headstrong and powerful venus is because corban doesn't think she could ever be like that, but corban doesn't know if she'll ever be able to like her. (can we change that though ?????????? honestly if you can see them being good friends i'd love that ,, i want them to like each other ;;)

aside from fighting, corban uses her powers to have Fun - which means giving temporary tats to all the ice dream girls (whether they like it or not), animating doodles, exploding pens onto rude customers, making the words 'kick me' appear on the back of venus' uniform from across the room, etc.
reaction she's ,, overwhelmed, of course. there's so many things to process and everything is happening all at once, so corban, who doesn't usually get angry, is angry. college is coming up and she already feels super torn over that, so all this extra burden is not helping. she's never been one to have a wild imagination, so it's hard to even accept the reality of what's going on, let alone acknowledge her newfound responsiblity to be earth's janitor. she skips school and work for A Whole Day, faking sickness to her mother (and feeling horrible about it after ,, but not as horrible as it felt to try and write with a pen, only to have it explode on her white shirt because of her anger ( `ε´ ) sigh), just so she can have time to herself to organize her thoughts. it doesn't take her long to accept the facts, because she doesn't miss work for long (since she feels bad uwu), and once she returns and sees how the other girls are faring with the news, she decides she's down to take on the world with this dysfunctional crew (also she has no choice woop).
