why is wrong on aff

the fact that is romanticized in fanfics always wants me to yell

there are actual people in the world who have experienced and yall are over here romanticizing ? that's ing disgusting, insensitive, and cruel. imagine a victim reading a fanfic about a girl ending up with her /enjoying ? you're basically freaking laughing in their face.

ugh and so many rapists escape in this world and we're over here writing lovey dovey fics about . i want to cry.

and ppl who say just don't read it? it's not a ing problem of not reading/reading. it's the fact that we're freaking making seem good, when it's NOT!

Oh and its THE WORST when you confront an author about it and they'll try to talk themselves out of it or even deny that the scene/the character was completely fine.

99 percent of the times you think you are reading a normal romance or fic until the comes up and no warning from the author or the comment section, nothing. I stopped reading fics like 3 years ago since 4 out of 10 fics were '' natured fics and it disgusted me. I am not a victim of , but I was ually abused and it makes me want to vomit. It also makes me want to check every fic that includes scenes in a ual nature and report whenever I spot something that is NOT okay. Same goes for or yuri animes/mangas. Its not just the k-fans, but also the j-fans. Its never okay if one of the people involved doesn't wanna do the things that they've been made to do. Period.

Either it be on wattpad, ff, here or ao3 (especially ao3 but no one says anything sine ao3 ff are 'good' in average)
I've never read any fics/books well if I did it was about the abused on a healing process, but that's only in books, a book would never get published if romanticising unless the editor is just dumb enough or is into that kind of stuff. I remembered there was this dramione fic where I expected something different from what I actually read (basially draco hermione and casting on her a spell to forget but she ended up losing her memory and completely brain damaged, from then I was expecting SOMETHING ELSE, draco actually getting what he deserved and hermione dealing with the trauma instead it just headed to rmance and I stopped reading)
Here on aff, If I remember well I was looking through reviewshop and ended up seeing a story romanticising (vrene) the reviewer signaled it to the author but I don't know if the story was taken off...
Anyway, is mind and body torture and unfortunately is it really being used as a trope (/ especially) and I always tell myself that the ones writing romantic stories about are young people who wants to do something "mature" or just put something y inside their stories yet the reason why they think of it like that. I mean if we look deeper in what we're influenced on : Movies, even though it might not be worse for under 2008 babies, I mean even movies like star wars who are so much loved shows somehow harrassing/Non consent content: Leila and Han solo, their first kiss which is described as one of the most romantic in all stories of movies: she kept on rejecting his advances until he kissed her even though she tried to get away he used his force to keep her still but no one said anything since leila ended up enjoying it, right? I mean even if it's 'just' a kiss, we end up having an image of love that having 'safe' love is boring

I've read too many things like those and I kind of liked them bcs of the thrill and , but yes, it's cruel and disgusting. Yet others got that 'insane' fantasy, kink or whtvr you call that, yes, being and they liked it.

Yeah. It's not just aff, it's also romanticized in fanfiction.net too, though not as much. But those fanfics are written mostly by younger "writers(?)" so they actually have no clue what they're writing and I think a lot of them are uneducated about the subject. But I think I understand why it's being romanticized. People who like it love the feeling of the thrill, I guess. And I guess it's considered okay if the guy or girl who's doing the is handsome, which is wrong on so many levels.

Agreed. I don't think I've ever written a fic like that. And reading it, well... I have read a few for reviews. But the characters progress in more than just feelings.
