Aight, this is very random, but I feel like sharing this with you guys, so here goes.

If you're reading one of my ongoing fics, On The Record, then you must know that it consists of a lot of wedding stuff and like, luxurious that I mentioned just for the sake of it (actually, no, they're mentioned for the sake of Minho's characterization lmao). Well, most of everything I mentioned are real stuff with real prices (or real people with real backgrounds), so I actually did a lot of research for this fic. Which is nice, I love it, especially the wedding stuff. They're pretty, I love pretty things. But then, I have to get to the actual wedding.

Okay, so, I know that this isn't the type of wedding Taemin wants, and it is right that he feels a little burdened by the whole shebang. BUT THE THING IS. I, too, am getting sick of the Chois' lifestyle lmaooooo no joke I researched about Ashford Castle and their menu and the dinner etiquette and I honestly just wants to ing go home. THEY'RE SO LAVISH ITS DISGUSTING. UGH. JUST. CAN YOU IMAGINE HAVING DINNER WITH YOUR FAMILY AND THE MENU IS LIKE "Jenning's Butcher, 28 Day Aged Chateaubriand, carved at your table" JUST. I AM TIRED JUST BY LOOKING AT THE MATERIAL, I HAVEN'T EVEN WRITTEN IT YET LMAOOO HELP

Don't get me wrong, I love writing this fic, I enjoy it, and I sure hope y'all do, too. But HONESTLY. It's crazy how there are people out there living their lives like this. I asked around to my rich-as-hell Chinese friends and my friends who are studying International politics, and they told me a lot of about families like the Chois. They exist, though usually more covertly than they do in this fic. I've been thinking about it a lot, actually. About how I'm writing these characters with these crazy luxurious lifestyles that I thought were exaggerated, but then, out there, there are families who live like this and more. It's just... mind-boggling.

I don't really know what I'm trying to say here, but the point is, both Taemin and I are sick of this level of luxury; the level where "their clothes are not branded, they're bespoke" (my friend's exact words). Ugh. Help.
