why practice is important

i love the feeling of finishing a piece of music without making any mistakes and ugHHhhhhHh it's a rare moment for me,, i used to have no confidence with playing before and so i never practised in front of ppl or where ppl could hear me which lead to like...no practice which lead to the sloWEst development as a musician but i gained a bit more confidence this year as a violinist and im happy to say that im starting grade 3 next term!!

n e ways moral of the blog,, don't be discouraged and never aim straight for the top when you're first starting out. take it slow and don't be afraid to make mistakes and admit to them. everyone will fall at some point; but eventually, you'll get there. i cannot stress enough how important it is to be consistent with practice (mainly to musicians but also for other things too). i've been playing for three years now and honestly, in my second year of playing, i literally practised notHING and that affected my playing aLOT. i stayed on one piece for basically three quarters of the year and that really stumped my playing. this year though, since ive been practicing more often, i can really see the difference with my playing.

(sorry that was a lot of word vomit;)

INDEEd! Wise words haha take it slow and it’s your personal journey so don’t compare your rate of progress to others :) every milestone is an achievement and be persistent, work hard n stay humble ^^
